You will get no respect from the male audience by creating this video? Wrong! As a young male entrepreneur, I wish that as many female entrepreneurs listen to your advice when it comes to business and relationships. You are super Inspiring Leila!
Same, I'm sure many people would love to see more of this from Lelia.
yeah many men in business wish that women stop making excuses and escape victimhood
+1
👏👏👏👏
40-year-old male entrepreneur here. Couldn’t support this video more.
I started my own jewelry company 3 years ago after receiving $85k startup grant. If I had to pick 1 thing from my journey as a female entrepreneur, it's not being treated equally.
I'll go to a press event in NY with my fiancé, and a male editor will shake my fiance's hand, congratulating him on HIS company! Completely ignoring me. We've learned to just laugh on the spot. It's a jewelry company...for women. You'd think the default assumption would be the woman was the owner, right? Nope.
Hi Tonicia I’m just curious how did you go about receiving 85k grant?
I got the grant through
a grant writer who help me to search for the grant and process my application. It a straightforward procedure.
How can I get hold of the grant writer ?
What do you say about the grant writers?
Well ladies, I'm 48 almost 49. I'm divorced and have no back up income and started my business. I had the it's now or never moment. I work long hours now but I'm putting my team in place. Leila mentioned conflict and she's right, there will definitely be conflict. My lawn doesn't get mowed, laundry gets done last minute. You can do it so don't wait... Do not wait ❤
All we lack is the audacity. We need to stop holding ourselves back. I don’t need anyone’s permission to get my money - least of all my own. No more waiting. The time to act is now ❤️
I don't need anyone's permission to get my money. This just changed my life. Thankyou
It’s “least of all my own” for me!! ❤
I'm from the future you're poor forever
I become an 8 figure millionaire at 29. I agree, it's never because you are a woman! This video was spot on. I am also a mother. Women have to have boundaries, lead, and work on ourselves!!
So much respect for you Leila. I've been working on my own for the last 2 years, the business basically only runs if I work. I own a design studio and I'm the only full-time worker in it. If I don't work I don't earn money. I say this as a designer, but l've lived my life seen my mom as a Psychologist going through the same things. If you get sick, you don't get money. If you take a vacation, you don't get money. Now in my current situation, I’m pregnant, well, that's a big upcoming challenge for the business…….
I developed chronic migraines during pregnancy, which made 3 to 4 days out of my week barely manageable. Besides all the feelings/body changes/symptoms, I worry a lot, how do my business keep running if I will be unavailable for some time.
Right now I'm having to replan all the strategies for the business, trying to find a way to hire someone full time so that I can take some time off, maybe that will not be an option. How can I guarantee that, even if I end-up not able to work for the first month after the baby is born, how do I get enough money to support myself and this baby?
This is the challenge that I'm going through now, and yeah, it's definitely a challenge that only woman-owned small business go through.
@@Veronicamax814 You've got this. I have a one year old and have launched my own web design studio. Hire a contractor so you can take time off and create a diy course component to your business so you can get bring in additional revenue without having to work and rise your prices.
"Every position has an advantage." Powerful
Yes. Works both ways!!
Doggy is the most powerful
cringe
Wth this is such an "aha" moment
In all my years on CZcams, I think I've left 2 comments. This is one of them. Dear Leila Hormozi, Thank you! Keep it coming!
All your years? You just got a Gmail account and JUST joined CZcams 2 hours ago!
@@S_nazzz😂😂😂😂😂
Same haha I’m an silent supporter 😂
@@S_nazzzmaybe she has multiple accounts, I definitely do
I'm also a male and I have great respect for you, I talk about your videos to my mom, girlfriend all the time. You changed the way I saw business!
This is one of my favorite talks you've ever done! In the Bible, the Proverbs 31 woman, a merchant/entrepreneur/wife/mother is described as being "clothed in Strength and Dignity" and you reminded me so much of that verse when you gave dignified responses to the hate or underestimations! True class and dignity!
I’m 47 and starting on my own after several major life changes. When you’re starting out, there’s no time, brain space, nor emotional stamina for blame at anyone or anything. You need every second, every mental focus and tenacity, and emotional calmness in midst of the turbulent ride of starting out a business.
I still can't believe that suff like this is free on the Internet ❤️
omg leila, you have no idea how great i feel knowing that other business owners involve their children in their business(es). i felt weird about including my daughter sometimes. but i think it is so important for her to watch me talk to people, have meetings, and work out deals. i felt like the american business culture didn't allow for kids to be around and that it was thought to be unprofessional. i try not to care, because my daughter and her education is so important to me. i truly believe my daughter can learn so much more from me and the people i create relationships with than any textbook ever could. my husband and i talked about building a business with my daughter, we just want to find what it is. for now, my daughter helps me with my content business 🥰
I'm a mom of a severely autistic young adult and I'm also building my holistic wellness coaching business at 55. Sometimes, I feel like the lady at your event and feel guilty about not being the "perfect" autism mom. But I have also realized late in life and after abandoning my law career to care for my autistic son, that I absolutely LOVE business. I also have a purpose and a mission and in order to feel fulfilled I need to make my business dreams a priority. Love all your content Leila ! You are a freakin' rockstar - a brilliant business woman but also a practical psychologist. You are empowering women of all ages. I would love to interview you one day. And please write a book. We are eagerly waiting for it !
Much love and blessing to you. Being a parent is hard and I wish you all the strength in your journey to be the parent you want to be. I can tell you have lots of love in your heart. All the best.
Thank you so much for your kind comment 🙏🏼😊
Thank you for sharing your amazing story. Please know that you too are empowering women ❤
Wow 19 minutes in and my jaw is on the floor! Had no idea how being a woman in business is an advantage! Thank you for your insights Leila!
THIS is the type of wisdom, insight ,and advice ive been wanting from a female entrepreneur. I hope you know how thankful I am that you overcame your fear of putting yourself on social media to help women in business Leila! I just love your fierceness and compassion. You show empathy but come with the sharp facts and realness we need because business is the game we chose to play in and we dont need to replicate or become men to compete. We have our own strengths and a different set of challenges that we navigate.
love seeing a fellow vietnamese queen winning

I’m 20, been obsessed with business since I was 17 with my mini startups, now with an advertising agency and it makes my heart full that I have woman like you to guide me through this experience of being a woman in business ❤ I can’t wait to see where I am once I’m 28 having you as one of my mentors
that's so inspiring
Only a couple minutes into this one but I can already tell this video is gold
Gold. I like that you remind me of the Bible. Here is proverbs 20:15
If you know what you are talking about, you have something more valuable than gold or jewels
'"we don't talk about business, we just demonstrate it" yoh! I love that this came up in my feed. I just finished watching a video called, "no one is coming to your rescue". You are right, we have to stop blaming and feeling sorry for ourselves and take ownership and allow ourselves to shine
YOU THE GOAT LEILA!!!
My mother LOVES YOU!!!
thank you
Hi. What does goat mean?
After starting HRT, I feel so much better and have less emotional issues. I rarely cry and don't feel as stressed or worried as I used to. Life changing
We love you so much Leila!! You are a huge role model for us women who love business!!❤️❤️❤️
I am not the target demo here, but as you said, most of these are people things and not just women things. Incredibly useful video as always. Thanks Leila.
Dear Leila, you’re a woman of exceptional character, it’s evident every word spoken here has been thoughtfully contemplated by you, and efficiently delivered to our benefit. You’re an inspirational leader for all humans looking to grow unceasingly, while pruning away the dead weight holding us back. Way to rise above and choose to act with poise in a constructive way when it’s so easy to react to insults, disrespect or humiliation. I truly admire you, and your videos teach me each time how to pull the best of me forward. You’re an independent thinker who examines things deeply and discerningly, while also having a kind heart. These are less common traits in modern times so I definitely appreciate honest talks like this that you share with us. 😊👏🏻
You will all LOVE being 50. No more periods. Less emotional rollercoaster. Everything else the same. Plus smarter from more experience. ALL GOOD. I love being 50!
This is not a natural born women, so they so t be able to relate
This helped me as a woman building a business around NFL finance. I truly have been carrying a bias anticipating I won’t be regarded the same way men are in athletic spaces.
Thanks so much.
Feminine energy gives you an edge when dealing with men and money!! Much success 🙌
I love "You have to control your emotions." Leila said she still felt tired, had cramps and emotions fluctuations, but she had less of them. She less tired, had fewer cramps and fewer emotional fluctuations. Everyone is arguing over is it nature or nurture. Nature and Nurture are only 50% of it. What you pay attention to , what you focus on, how you let yourself feel, that is the other 50%. You get to be whoever you WANT to be.
Understand that it is not simply so easy for _all women,_ though. A great number have *_multiple (oft large) truly terrible_** uterine fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, PMDD, and **_severe_** dysmenorrhea. Nature's going to "win" in many of those cases.*
here is my icon, I love you so much Leila, you inspire every women beyond and i believe you will keep running this legacy.
Straight up wisdom, delivered with true care. I love living in a world that Leila lives in!
Finally!!! I've been waiting for this video! Leila Hormozi is the only person I'll hear talking about this topic. Every other woman plays the victim in the business space.
So excited!
There's so much truth in this video! I'm thrilled to find someone who echoes my own experiences and perspectives. It's empowering to see these insights articulated so clearly. Thank you Leila Hormozi!
Leila, you are ahead of your time! So incredibly inspiring, amazing, intelligent, beautiful inside and out. I cannot say enough good things about you!!
The content you put out is so compelling and relevant.
Thank you 💖
🤣 "a silly goose" I LOLd
But frfr - Wow, Leila! Your insight and ability to articulate what you've learned and how to apply it is so helpful. Thank you for this video ❤ you spoke to challenges I wasn't even aware I was trying to work through.
SO many mic drop moments! ❤🎤
I also felt like I have had ADVANTAGES in business as a woman. So glad to hear someone at your level say it!
Nailed it. Feminism is designed to hold women back. It's social engineering!! Respect has nothing to do with gender. It has to do with accountability, actions and self love. I'm 53 a life coach who decided to change how I do business and am so glad I found JGriff, then Alex and now you. My goal is to become a post menopausal multimillionaire by helping smart people who suck at love. Time to scale!! Info like this while walking my dog in the am... is pushing me along in the right direction. Thank you!
Thank you for making this video! And yes, it’s almost always men in the comments who attack, and they don’t even talk about qualifications or anything related to the content, they go straight for the “looks.” Because they believe that it is the best way to attack a woman’s self worth. I see these comments on women creator’s videos all the time. It’s quite interesting, the time and effort put in to attempt to make a woman stop creating. But anyhow, these tips are great! I think I really needed to hear “sometimes life just isn’t fair.” I don’t want to go around thinking that being a woman is a handicap in business. You’re proof that it doesn’t have to be
Standing ovation👏👏 That was literally the best thing I‘ve seen/ heard in this topic. Wish you‘d talk more about that - the world needs it.
However, thank you very very much❤️
I’ve seen a few of your videos, but subscribed after this specific one. Jimmy & a woman did it, love all the points. It’s not about blaming anyone, but owning what you’re capable of. And expanding that.
This video was absolutely phenomenal Leila. I love how in depth this was, truly exploring every angle and perspective. Extremely grateful to have someone like you talking about the nuances of this topic.
Phenomenal. Leila, thank you for speaking. This is wisdom. I’ve always hated the victim mentality approach (as a Black African woman who’s often been in male-dominated environments). Of COURSE there are a tonne of things that are unfair - but rather than toss away your power, it does a world of good to channel your energy into what you can control…be assertive without being mean…and your success will speak for itself.
May you enjoy even more success in all you do. Keep it coming!
✨
As a fellow Divine Feminine and a businesswoman living in the Caribbean you're me 10 times leap into the future great information. Thank you my dear love your humility
I love hearing your perspective so much.
I love this. As a women who built and owns a construction company I work mainly with men. I used to pull the single mom, woman card for things that did not turn out the way i wanted. But after a lot of work realized i have an advantage being a women in a male dominated industry.
🙌🏾💯👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
What is your advantage?
Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom. It’s truly helpful in more ways than you can imagine. Keep doing what you’re doing. I’m so grateful to have found you!
wow, just wow. When I finished it, I was at loss for words. Thank you Leila and the team for making this video. Honestly probably one of THE best videos I have seen.
52 minutes of pure value and tips/advices WOW this morning I discovered her youtube channel and im binge watching/listening i swear. Thank you Leila 🥰
Leila, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this video. I wish I had some of this insight a few years earlier and I will put it to good use now. Leading a team and going through menopause has been brutal. I love the perspective of making a point to show up consistently regardless of how we’re feeling. Certainly not easy, but even making the attempt is an improvement. And your points about rising above the moments of being misunderstood…pure gold! Thank you for speaking truth and not shying away from tough topics. I love how you look at challenges with a positive light and tackle them gracefully head on. I also learn a lot from you simply by how you hold yourself.
Sharing with all women in my life 🎉 Men are also conflicted but their response is NOT to freeze in the emotion.. all feelings are valid and can be transmuted instead of repressed. Thanks for the realness.. 💯🎯
OMG, Leila. It seems you’ve got all the examples from me managing my business. With this video I realized what I’ve done in a shitty way. I realized, that I’m not alone. Even was feeling so before. The way you talk is just adorable. The power of empowerment is unbelievable. Thank you so so much for this video!!!!
Thank you!!! This is just amazing. I’m so grateful that you took the time to create this content and expose yourself in this way. I have never heard another woman speak the truths that you’d have spoken. We set our own limits, and then blame others or forces around us. We have the power to change our beliefs, our behavior, and consequently, our truth.
Keep it up with this type of content. Loving it.
Yet another masterclass! Thank you, Leila. ❤
Thank you Leila for your impact! Love from French Strong Business Woman 💪💪💪 who doesn’t need Men Agreements!
One of my favorite videos you’ve shared with us Leila. Thank you so much!
Leila you’re a bad ass!! Have crazy respect for your mindset and your accomplishments 👏👏👏👏bravo!!!
💯!! I run a business with my family, am a mother of 2 little ones, wife and it can get really challenging at times. So I really needed this!
Thank you for being authentic and sharing with us your journey in business. You truly inspire me! I hope to meet you some day😊 Thank you so much for this ❤
This video is PURE value and actually hits the heart in so many ways I cant even describe! I’m so excited to continue to learn from you.
So many knowledge bombs!! Saving this video to rewatch over & over again
Leila be spitting those flower power facts 20 seconds in! 😂😂😂👏 Hell yeah!! I love the take on our culture now. Keep sharing your thoughts and knowledge, Leila!! Thank you. 🤍🤍🤍
Leila - truth! Thank you for taking the time and sharing your insights and energy. Appreciate you. Ladies, let’s listen and apply to our lives.
i absolutely love your advice videos leila! can legit watch your content for hours. so insightful. thank you.
Thank you for this wisdom Leila! The advantages you shared are so motivating and make working in business so much more attractive. And doable.
My wife and I own a medspa we have two young boys obviously we boys don’t have medical degrees, but we can be the maintenance and cleaning crew. It gives them a chance to see what mommy does and we can fix and clean up our building teaching them to work and be around mom at work after hours while she is charting or finishing paperwork. Including our kids in business is going to teach them more than any teacher will ever be able too.
What city? I own a Med Spa too, Im
an RN 😊
Dear Leila, you did a fenomenal job, thank you!
This was so inspiring! I’m a young woman working in corporate in NYC and I will definitely be referencing this video as I continue on my journey in business. So many gems but what I really took away is perspective is key. Thank you for sharing! 🙌🏾✨
Leila your real talk is truly inspirational. As a single mother in business there will always be a trade off. Going to work will lead to days when I say stairs need hoovering as I walk up and when I’m running down them I say their done, just in order to get out of the house to work
Thank you for making this video! I’ve been following you and Alex from the beginning and I love your content ❤
This is a gem💎! Thank you for putting this together and sharing .
You are a strong mature woman a true inspiration Leila! Thanks for the video ❤❤❤
Thank you for this video Leila. Very insightful and much appreciated
Leila!!! You are such an angel 🩵 thank you so much for this! I am 22 and I just got my first “big” position video editing for a business that does VSL marketing for other businesses. It’s me and 3 other guys, that’s the whole team 😮💨 and I have been fighting the thoughts about being treated differently as a woman. This helped me so much moving forward 🩵 I feel so blessed to have access to this information at the beginning of my journey!
Awesome, super valuable video. I absolutely agree with you on all the points you have mentioned. I could identify a few areas in my life that I can improve instantly. You rock, Leila!
YOU INSPIRE ME LEILA... LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!!! Thank you for making this video.!!! Keep doing what you're doing!!!
I’m so glad this video came up on my for you page, I needed to hear this.. all of it… especially the bit about being emotional. Thank you!
ALL this! You crushed this, Leila! Well said! We need more highly successful female entrepreneurs to speak up to encourage other females in business. Couldn't agree more with everything you said. SO on point! All of it!! Thank you for all you do for the entire business space! 🙏
From Iran ❤ just found out how powerful and inspiring ur character is. U are a true roll model for all women in business. Keep shining Queenn❤❤❤
Incredible content! I have my notepad with me and I took down every point you made.
You're 100% right about the emotions part. I've had many problems with other women who weaponized emotions against me, and I am a woman. It was frustrating for a long time, but I have learned not to do business with people if they can't control their emotions. While I didn't have a problem with emotions, I had a problem with energy levels every month. I am working on the proper nutrition, lifestyle, and supplements to help balance that.
The biggest lesson here for me is to learn how to say no as a woman. I struggled with that a lot. Your explanation gave me a lot of insight on how to move from being "too nice" and taking on too much to learning how to delegate so I can give others a chance to become leaders, too.
Thanks, Leila!
You are a light and valuable teacher in my life. Thanks for sharing so much knowledge and KEEP SHINING BRIGHT ✨✨✨
Good stuff Leila!! I see myself in almost every scenario. This has helped me to see how to handle things in business and family more strategically in order to see a change in my situation.
I watched this video twice. I love all of your videos!
I say it all the time and I’ll say it at least a million times more, this is the real Top G right here. Thanks for being the greatest business mom, Leila 💜
I gotta co-sign this statement… I wholeheartedly agree! She a real one 💯💯💯
Love your mindset. Beautiful video ♥️ I have the same experience in business. Men can be super helpful & nurturing.
So much wisdom and value in this! A lot of women need to hear this. Thank you for sharing. Incredible video :)
Thank you..we need succesful women to speak up. I so appreciate this conversation ❤❤
Leila, you are such an inspiration and queen of business ✨️🙏 I love your videos ❤
Thank you for sharing this! I completely agree with all of your points and have learned them for myself the last few years in business.
This video brings so much value. You said some truths that can be used universally also for other topic. Brilliant and inspiring!
Four minutes in and absolutely agree with and love everything you’ve said 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This is such a valuable gift. Thank you so much for sharing this. I feel so privileged that I got to find your videos. I’m sharing it with all my Sister ❤️💚 clients who are also in business.
I love your advice, you’re amazing 💕💕
Third comment. Leila, thank you for opening up about being emotional and controlling it. You've been getting me theough more than I could type in the last few months. Love you, girl. Thank you. 🤍🤍🤍
Such a great word Leila. As an almost 60 year old woman just launching an online biz, once you hit 50 you disappear from value mostly in the marketplace. If you've got a few extra pounds and are not wealthy you disappear for men and young people too. But who cares???? If we deliver value to the marketplace people will buy from us regardless of what we look like. Took me awhile to trust that. Here's the thing, I just don't give a crap what people think anymore. At least not that much. I DO care whether they value my market offers but that I'm in control of. Bless you!!
Thank you Leila! Speak truths! I am so thankful I found you! I listen to mostly men because as you said, there’s no real women putting out content for motivation and business leadership!
Respect Leila!!! Thank you for putting this video together.
In a world where victimhood has become a currency, it is refreshing to hear someone say: yes we all have disadvantages, we also have as many advantages. But only if you look for it!
I love this. I think in order to be solution-oriented, we have to take accountability. We just need to remember that taking accountability doesn't mean you're admitting you suck or that you need to be ashamed of your mistakes. It just means you're a mature person who can self-correct.
Leila, thank you so much for this video. You are so wonderful and I appreciate you so much. I really needed this! ❤
