Do you really expect that master strategists like PM Modi or Amit Shah are so naive that they will be swayed by the opinion of a new comer party President like Annamalai before deciding an alliance. The BJP took back Nitish Kumar in Bihar just to ensure that they leave no chances in Bihar.

Mr.Singham does not know the ground reality, or may be he knows, that is why he tried not to contest in Coimbatore. He used Judiciary stamp papers to nomination. The ground reality is TN people are more concerned about GST, Petrol and Diesel price than Ram Mandir. Coimbatore lost many businesses due to BJP, many shut down their business due to heavy tax, some of the industries went to Gujarat. EPS on other hand, supported CAA, so minority votes and those who are against CAA are not going to NDA or AIADMK. So, overall 39+1 for INDIA and 0 for NDA
Beg to differ. Getting rid of AIADMK was the best decision in the long run because for 1) AIADMK is not united. 2) it's corruption baggage is discarded. You can attack AIADMK in the same breath as DMK 3) form a coalition with splinter AIADMK parties and 4) it allows you to start afresh. If you are an analyst, it's best to look from all angles.

Suman C Raman correctly picturises TN politics more than anybody else. BJP made a mistake of antogoniding AIADMK else the combined alliance would have scored minimum.10 seats. It is lucky on the part of AIADMK, BJP antagonized itself and broke the alliance. DMK is also a beneficiary here. By aligning with BJP the minorities majority of them punish AIADMK left right and center as both the blocs tasted and broke alliance earlier.

The only shortcoming for BJP in this election is the lack of sufficient grassroot ground network which will develop only after seeing first level improvement in the first serious election for BJP in Tamil Nadu. Once the party is seen as a significant force more grassroot people will join force and we will see the transformation in 2026.
I differ from raman as far as TN Bjp president functionality. Where he said, leader shld be inclusive, accomadative. Thats the reason why Bjp has never grown in tn beyond 3% party. Annamalais streight forward approach really attracted the youth population hence the growth of the party into double digit. Raman criticise the Annamalai's approach while ignoring the dmk as well as Admk's strong criticism about Bjp. Raman maintains two different yard stick 😅😮 which is surprising!!!

Well Faye is an independent journalist so I will share my only prediction for the polls with her. And it is for the state of Tamil Nadu. The media certainly national English media for some reason this time is infatuated with Tamil Nadu. It is surprising because elections in South especially Tamil Nadu were more footnotes for the media. But this time its all about India's southernmost state.
My Prediction for 40 seats.
AIADMK 18-20 seats
DMK 14-16 seats
BJP 6-8 seats.
It seems that the BJP will certainly breach the Dravidian fortress this time.

It's not AIDMK, it's BJP which came out. BJP knew if the alliance vote share would increase, DMK would say it is because of AIADMK. That's why Annamalai wanted to go alone and show organic growth of BJP. This election will replace AIADMK as number 2 party.
