"If it's already difficult today, what will happen in thirty years time?" Chief Yusuf's son Allai shares his father's anxieties. For those living in this fragile region, the pressures of development and environmental change are beginning to tell. But within the tribes you can still find some glimmers of hope. "Our task is to try and improve the country, in a way that is consistent with our traditions."

I am happy to see that Mali is putting an effort towards education. It is a good start to spark the minds of their people. In time you will see how creative your people will become and there will be no boundary to their creativity. If you can dream it then you can build it. May you be blessed.

Good documentary that show us the difficult life for those tribes in the Niger River, mainly in Mali. It is true that with the advancing quickly of the technology, many tribes need to adapt quickly in it's new environment. However, the lack of education, health care, employment make harder in achieving these challenges. God blesses this nation Mali and it's people.
