My first flight ever happened to be on the exact same day that Lubitz hijacked the Germanwings flight. The horror these people felt must have been beyond imagination
I feel the most sad for the captain himself, given that his co-pilot completely locked him out 😭😭

Ever since 9/11, cockpit doors were reinforced and they also have a panel to override their access codes. Not only that, the 2 person cockpit rule wasn't applied to Germanwings ever since LAM470, and the doctors who give Lubitz notes that advise him not to fly didn't warn the company about copilot's condition worsening because they might face prosecution.
Your 100% correct the FO disconnect the autopilot and then started to dive the plane down as the captain tried to break into the cockpit so he can regain control.

The Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA) found that Flight 148 crashed because the pilots left the autopilot set in Vertical Speed Mode instead of Flight Path Angle Mode and then set "33" for "3.3° descent angle", resulting in a high descent rate of 3,300 ft (1,000 m) per minute into terrain.
He should've check the display if its VS or FPA

I was about to go to Kathmandu but I might change my mind
@bogeymalone I hope not. Planes land there several times a day and nothing goes wrong. Pilots know what they are doing and the airplanes these days are sophisticated. It's just a matter of being focus obeying the sterile cockpit rules and following your checklist for landing. If I remember correctly in that episode they were not at right speed and altitude for going into one of the step down if they had pay attention to airplane instruments they would know they made a mistake. These airplanes fly themselves pilots just need to pay attention.

@@bogeymaloneI was a former pilot for flydubai and I used to land at TIA( Tribhuban int'l airport) 4 times a week and it is not that scary you'll enjoy the view until you touchdown and it's quite spectacular

One reason to not be scared of flying is because notice how most and all of these crashes are form way back than well now we have the technology to make the aircrafts stronger, faster and more durable “armor”.
All I’m noticing is they have enough crashes to keep making a new series .

Howd German wings disappear from radar from being too low it was 6000 feet up when it hit yes?
6000 feet is the maximum altitude for a aircraft transponder to appear on ATC Radar. but if the Altitude was dropping fast on the ATC-Radar before it disappeared then theres a good chance the aircraft went down.
There should always be 3 people in the cockpit, just my opinion.

Germanwings Flight 9525 was a hijacking flight. The co pilot was a stupid hijacker that won’t let the pilot get in and the co pilot closed the door and crashed on the mountains at purpose.
Edit: Omg the baby on Germanwings Flight 9525 made me sad cause she died on the plane crash and her life was too short

I fund it utterly amazing that at the time if the crash someone just happened to be standing there with a camera to film what really happened, so they didn't have to reenact the crash.

Mount Erebus is another mountain that got crashed into the flight is called air New Zealand flight 901 ,the crash was one of the deadliest dc-10 crash with killing all 237 passengers and 20 crew members
