Hey guys, today we're taking a look at some real odd Flood forms, that have only ever been seen once - during the battles on Shield World 0459 during Halo Wars 1.
Even though these 3 forms are combat forms, we can't see any visible Infection Forms like with the more common combat forms, so it's likely they were either infected via Flood Spores, or have the Infection Forms hidden deep within the host. Either way, these forms are pretty weird!
Oh, and we also look at some extra stuff at the end. Couldn't have a 5 minute long Flood video, right? ;)

I believe the Bomber Form may be a Blindwolf. Looking at the placement of the "arms," abdomen, and head; it looks exactly like a Blindwolf. The reason it's floating is most-likely due to the fact the Flood are expendable and is utilizing gasses that are lighter than air within the Blindwolf to allow it to float. Plus, the mouth also looks like the Blindwolf's. Minus the fused skin.
I also believe the Thrasher Form is an Arctic Beast, since they both have the same body shape and structure. It may have just lost all its fur.
I heard that the Thrasher form is actually a flood infected Thorn Beast.
People say its an engineer, i see it as kind of bullshit, because you obviously see the blindwolf head and legs

The bomber form looks like a blind wolf from the cut halo ce wildlife. Maybe there were blind wolves on the infected shield world, and they too got infected.

Michael J. Caboose well not many spartan 2's ran into the flood. By the time the spartan 4's came the unsc wasn't engaging the flood. So really the reason there's no spartan flood is because the flood haven't had a chance to get ahold of a spartan.
Dont their energy shields kill the infection forms when they come into contact with them?
I believe that there are stories of some spartans getting infected but i doubt they're canon

What if a flood spore infected a human, but instead of turning them into a combat form, they become a sort of spy, unified with the gravemind & controlled by it but not physically seen to be a flood. That would be awesome but at the same time fucking creepy.
I don't think that's possible, I'm pretty sure in order to take complete control over a host it has to destroy its blood cells and replace it with its own (done in the bubbles that form outside of the hosts body). Plus it basically just completely screws up the body because it's tendrils and stuff travels throughout the host and sinks into its nervous system. And its not really necessary because once a host is infected all of its memories and knowledge is absorbed and transferred to the gravemind

I think if a flood cure worked there wouldn't be much hope for the being as they have been torn open,twisted bones and or body shape and so on,just my opinion but hopefully someone can correct me
A cure wouldn't work for the already infected because like you said they have been horribly twisted and mutated and the host is long dead after infection.
However it could save those who haven't been infected yet.

Three words.
I always thought that the Bomber form was an infected Engineer. The way their back inflates and deflates is very close to what an engineer does to stay floating. I mean the arms could just be the tentacles from the engineer all stuck together to form the arms, and the mouth could be the head and neck of the engineer split in half (ripped right down the middle), and as unpleasant as that sounds, it fits with the lore of the flood and what they do when they infect a person (often breaking bones and shoving guts off to the side). Plus every shield world would have had engineers on them, as that was the safest place for them when the forerunners fired the rings, and we know that they were meant to keep forerunner installations running even after the rings fired.

Im fairly sure that the flood on the shield world were co-ordinated, as they had large bases made entirely of collected biomass, and there were some very developed proto-graveminds.
Not to mention that when playing as the flood in multiplayer, you act as the gravemind to them, co-ordinating and guiding them.

Perhaps the bomber was an infected and rare forerunner engineer. The sack allowing them to hover may have been engorged and used for two reasons. To incubate infection forms and to allow the creature to fly.

You could go over the Flood Jackals and Grunts and why they were used on this shield world, but not used any other time. Even in Halo CE? They were both in the same state, but for some reason in Halo Wars, they chose to infect the Jackals and Grunts, as where they didn't on Installation 07.
There was an animal cut from Halo Wars called the Thorn Beast, this seems to be what the Flood Thrasher is based on
The second one is an infected engineer and the third one is an infected hunter because of the lekgolo!
Those floating ones that drop foot forms or probably one of the Covenant engineers and then it just mutated arms and a mouth

I think that the bomber form was likely made from a similar species to the engineers from odst and reach. The idea is that it's a sort of living balloon which keeps it in the air. It could also be a more pure flood form created simply out of flood biomass.
5:45 there are flood infected grunts for everyone, they got the methane tanks, short stubby legs and big bulky arms with biomass, if they aren’t grunts then they are really close to it
I think the thrashers are a type of rhino infected, because if you look to the left of the head there is a horn and the have rough grey skin-My thoughts.

The flood structure forms appear in Halo legends forerunner war. The epic 5 forerunners that get infected in the fight of the city were attack by the flood launcher.
Forgot which book but there was a book where Halsey gave Chief a choice dissect Sargent Johnson to create a cure for the flood or something one of the books I read a few years ago

The bomber is probably a flood form of the engineer from the infinity ship that are in the basement of the infinity and they keep light on for some reason I read this in a halo rookie guide book I got from half price books

I think the bomber form may be a converted fish. Something large with an air bladder. Once infected the air bladder is repourposed to float in the air (filled with hydrogen or helium) and its tail and other body parts are repurposed for the growth pod creation.
I don't know why you didnt talk about the grunt or jackel forms (or the infested elephants for that matter).
The bomber form looks like it might have been an aquatic creature before infection. Would explain the weird shape.

I believe that the bomber is a remodeled carrier form.
It maybe moved the "arms" of the carrier to the legs and then sorta split them up. It then used the gasses to expand and float up like a hot air balloon.
I think the bomber form my be a Hurigok. Considering it's a forerunner shield world and one of the only two other shieldworlds (Onyx) was filled with them. It could be inferred that this shieldworld had them too, and if the flood infected it, then it may look like this.

i always thought the thrashers were a pureform of some kind, since the flood had existed in large quantities on theexterior of the shield world for some time, and maybe the proto gravemind you destroy is not the only gravemind, but who knows
as to bombers, i always thought they were engineers, since they may have been made on the shield world by the forerunners and the flood slowly developed a means of infecting them

Although the engineers look biological, they're not organic at all, they were built by the forerunners. They're pretty much just flying computers disguised as animals.

The bomber is likely to be a flood engineer. The fact that it floats with no obvious way of doing it, like the engineer, and is about the same size leads me to believe this. It could also be some weird pure form.
Tbh, when colony was released in halo wars 2, I thought the goliaths where what the uninflected thrasher’s looked like, I know it’s dumb cause there made of lekgolo worms, but at the time I thought of it as that

Back to the topic of cortana and the logic plague, im actually hoping for a meeting between mindicant bias and cortana. I dont believe that he was completely destroyed on the ark, nor do i think he should be. I know its not on the topic of the video, but a gravemind style long conversation between the 2 ai in the domain could provide an oppertunity to allow cortana to return to her previous role aswell as set up the next enemy. If they execute halo 6 with even a fraction of the ability bungie showed in the early games, the franchise can still be saved.
