We love all generations of the Dodge Viper, but this one is particularly special - it’s an incredibly thrilling Viper ACR designed to break lap records and offer exhilarating performance, thanks to an aero kit and a revised chassis setup compared to the standard Viper. This particular ACR is finished in gorgeous Viper Very Orange Pearl, and it shows just under 6,900 miles on the odometer. It also boasts some nice equipment like adjustable KW coilover suspension, a GKN limited-slip differential, and a set of Sidewinder forged wheels. Plus, this Viper features a few upgrades including a Mopar Stage 1 ECU and a Belanger exhaust system. To top it off, it's offered with a clean, accident-free Carfax report, for added buyer confidence.

I did NOT expect this car to fit like a glove. It did. Wow
Don't care what anyone says. Dodge vipers are so friggin cool. They sound awesome ( not a nice tune like other V10's but the noise suits the car it just sounds powerful) I need one
They are a ton of fun to drive too!
Oh their coolness is also bolstered by the deadlyness and constant threat of analog overdriving. Driving a mobile coffin missile is a statement.
ACRs are quite easy to drive, they a literally glued to the pavement@@purplepurplesaurasne
Amen to that!
"Honey, call the cops. There's a strange woman talking to a camera while sitting in the trunk of a car."
The life of Alanis.
After the cop left, the family who called the cops came to their back fence to spectate my review
I do want to know what they said on that phone call.
LOL, spoken like a fan.
I'm sure Alanis's insights are greatly appreciated by serial killers.
To be fair, I don't think a serial killer would us a Viper. Too much attention
This thing go across Nurburgring around 7 : 22, next gen do it at 7 : 01, insane. One the greatest and noticeable car in industry.
Viper has the cool icon status that can only come from danger.
My friend's dad owned a Dodge dealership in the 90's, while I was over, he brought home a 95 Viper. Being only 10, both of us fit in the seat, and we got up to 100mph on their residential street, it was amazing!
Good ole days...
cue exploding hood
I've always loved the Viper.
I've never been in one.
Maybe that's why I love the Viper? LOL
It's very purposeful in there.
@@carsandbids It’s a sports car after all.
10:46 nice viper impression Alanis, you scared me a little! Growing up, the viper was always my favorite car. Cheaper and better looking than the European rivals. Reminds me of the quote from Talledega Nights: “America is all about speed. Hot, nasty, badass speed” - Eleanor Roosevelt, 1936.
So true
Owned a red 2006 Coupe and a 2010 orange with black stripes Coupe. They have the best clutch engagement and shift engagement of any car I’ve ever owned! I’ve owned too many cars to count… BTW, I owned a 2008 Honda S 2000, and I preferred the Viper shifting over the S 2000! No 🧢! I miss them! Wish I never sold them! Great cars!!!
I still remember the first time I saw a Dodge Viper--the year was1998 and it was pulling out of a Dunkin' Donuts parking lot. The viper was a red convertible version. I've never been a Viper fan, but for some reason seeing that car has stuck with me nearly 30 years later.
"Its a Viper! If I floor it, it will try to Viper me" 😂
Accurate
Viper is a verb
Only real car enthusiast will understand this sentence. 😂
I remember as a kid, this and the Ford GT were my 2 favorite cars. They were both marketed as red with white racing stripes
"This is a car." Brilliant insights, madam.
This is an excellent review. However, I must still insist that Alanis in the R1T is absolutely peak CZcams. I just go back and watch that over and over.
❤❤❤❤❤
Missed the review!!!
This is a great spec, the heavy trunk is agreeable, sometimes depending on the slope of the area of where I’m at, my hatch on my viper slowly starts to close itself lol.
Now let’s get Doug to redo his review of the 5th gen ACR, this time with the extreme aero package. It makes a huge difference!
Aero on these cars is HUGE!
@@carsandbids on the ACR-E is massive, and it’s functional too!
I've been waiting for him to review it for so long.
Fun video of a truly terrifying car (a compliment)
Thank you!
'Hmmm... here's some nice and comfy looking big rocks and gravel! I think I'll just sit RIIIIIIIIIGHT here in this dusty mess in my all-black outfit.'
😄
I tried to buy a Hennessey built 1997 Viper GTS years ago. Went to test drive it and couldn't because I couldn't fit in it. Me, standing 6'5" really has it's downfalls and being an automotive enthusiast. On a side note, I had no idea that the side curtain airbag federal mandate is what killed the Viper. Nice piece of info that I've never heard anyone else talk about. 👍
This is one of the coolest cars of all time!
Yup!
I LOVE Alanis!! she's a vibe!!! I'm glad she is on C&B
Thank you!
...and it could probably take that away from you at any moment LOL Great job, Alanis, very infotaining!
Thank you!
Made me laugh out loud. People are scared of the infamous GT2RS as the widow maker but in my eyes this is the true widow maker.
1st and 2nd gen with racing stripes were still the coolest looking, and what fun is it if there is no danger of being burned?
They are easy to daily drive.
The Clutch is heavy but smooth.
The Gearbox can be notchy but once warmed up shifts are quick and precise.
It really only gets scary and brutal when you take it on the track where you really have to know what you are doing, otherwise YOU will get yourself killed by a car that did exactly what you told it to do.
getting one of these without the ACR stripe is a cardinal sin.
Alanis is a great reviewer. Great video!
Thank you!
Cops called BEFORE the Alanís trunk test?!?! Shenanigans!
Shenanigans!
Alanis , I so enjoy your videos and love your laugh..
Thank you so much!
Great review Alanis!! Love vipers, this one is really cool!
Viper is my dream car and I just got a 08 viper in beautiful blue color I can literally just look at it all day every day
Man, what a monster, it just feels like it wanna.go and go, harder, faster, louder....terrifiying. You really gotta know what you're doing if you wanna take that beast to its limits.
Great job Alanys😁🙌
"That would not be good content". Yes Alanis. It would be good content :D
would love a 4th & 5th gen acr 🐍
Sweet.
Lmfao at calling the cops. People are so strange.
You know it’s a good car when it makes you hissssssss🐍🐍🐍
I was shocked the trunk was a 1 Alanis unit! #practical
Extremely practical!
14:59 the exhaust sounds like a voice on auto tune! Wow!
People really do love to call the cops at the drop of a hat
Mein lieben,
Viper! Viper! Über allen...
Viper! Mein Herz in Flammen,
So jung und doch so alt.
I'm not going to comment about your choice of words at the beginning of this video, Damn Girl. 😅😄
VIPER!!!!! ❤❤❤😍
Couldn't they have put side curtain airbags in the door?
Why there is no exhaust sound footage? :(
The cops and neighbors would have NOT liked that one
@@AlanisKingThey wouldn't like it, they would love it
Dumb question but why are people calling the cops on someone obviously shooting a video discussing a car? 😂
Great q!
YEEEAAAH BABY 🇺🇸🦅🗽💲⚾🏈🍟🌭 FINALLY THE GREATEST AMERICAN SUPERCAR 🗣‼‼💯💯💯
So true
Atlantis keeps me interested even when the car isn’t. She’s very much like Doug.
Lost cities are fascinating
Aw! Thank you
You’re welcome
@@MrBubs-yu4wmAgreed. Deep subject matter.
now imagine if this stuck around long enough to get a hellcat supercharged widebody version
Dude I hate to break it to you but hellcat is overrated. The viper has it own hemi I suggest you leave it alone.
@@SnorkyBean
i don't know what @jish8681 is trying to say,
but i do know what you're trying to say and i wished you would have put more thought behind what you said.
The supercharged hellcat engine is "overrated."
You could have just said the V10 is perfect because it belongs (exclusively?) to the Viper, but you tried to validate your point with a logical fallacy.
Both of you, take this L with grace and after you've reflected upon your sins―feel free to share opinions that are based within the confines of reality.
I will own a viper some day!! Awesome video Alanis!! 👽🛸
I got my gen3 2 years ago. Had 28k miles. Now we're coming up on 80k mi. Love every second I'm in the seat!
Alanis is the opposite of the Karen that called the cops on her....
Hahahahaha
Good video Alanis.
Thank you!
I can’t imagine a better sounding V10 car (other than the LFA). The viper is the best American supercar ever made
What the heck is that sound or voice at 13:48? And at 14:59!
I think the audio glitches, but it sounded weird lol
Is like Doug de Muro 🤔
10:59 interior jumpscare
There are 2000hp+ vipers on the streets
BRUTISH! I got scared for a sec. 😂
Hahahaha
Soon
Did someone really call the cops on you?
Yes. It was a wild day. About 30 minutes after the cop left, I got a call that a friend died unexpectedly. That's why this video goes into nighttime
@@AlanisKing , I am so sorry to hear that.
Thank you. It was a rough day!
If I floor it, it's going to viper me.
True
Ha ha ha ha ha, that’s all it need, I felt that
don’t forget the title With ALANTIS KING haha
So true
I could be wrong, but I get the feeling Alanis would like to take this one home.
Would love to
I love this car
Who doesn't love a Viper?
I am actually in love with Alanis
Amazing host, you're doing a great job!
Glad you think so!
Story time with the Alanis, coming soon to your local PBS station
PetrolBroadcastingStation
My bby, my dream car 😍
Alanis = a fantastic lunch break that sends me back to work feeling I can accomplish anything. Her laugh is and joviality is worth millions! Oh and the Can Alanis Fit In The Trunk and the process to do it is the best thing EVAH!!!😂
Omg! Thank you
This would make a good roller coaster ride at Six Flags
Tell us about your Six Flags trips.
It would actually be less scary if it were on tracks
@@carsandbidsmy Six Flag memory involves a lady who keeps trying to put herself in the trunk of vehicles 😂
@@AlanisKing 🤣 I look forward to your next review
The Viper is my second favourite car of all time
What's the first?
@@carsandbids The 1967 Mustang. Especially if it is styled as in Gone in 60 seconds 🤓
Nice!
Here for the Alanis trunk test, guessing half a metric Alanis
Great review Alanis, love your reactions while experiencing the Viper!!! The viper is one of my top 5 favorite muscle cars of all time.
Thank you : )
may wanna fix the title ... title indicates 2006 ... Alanis describes it as a 2009
Gen 3s didn’t even offer a ACR either lol
Thank you for fixing title!
Yeah I logged in and fixed when I saw! Def was just an innocent typo
Good spot!
Till today I still don't know why Alanis keep introducing herself like a 5th grade teacher.
... omg it's going to viper me. Come on..
I understand vipers are legendary cars, but I will never not laugh at how little power American engines have considering the displacement
Imagine if this was 100hp per liter!!!
Now that would be awesome!
The flipside is that American engines will run forever because of how low-stress they are.
😂Viper 🐍 🤣
Please stop talking about this car. I'm still saving up.
Best car ever
Is it Me?Or is it bad judgement too shoot and drive that car on a dirty gravel road?Would think All those lil rocks kicking up on the undercarriage on such a low car wouldn't be good, especially to a prospective buyer?Hmmm..maybe just me!!Give me the Original one just for the lack of concern for your well-being and others, look out for those toasty pipes!!!Love It
Owner suggested this road and exact location. I would not do something the owner wasn't comfortable with
Alanis just casually travelling through time
Yes
FLOOOOR ITTT
2000rpm the whole time
When people call the cops on Alanis for reviewing a car, the cops show up, see it’s Alanis…and then arrest the people who called the cops.
you don't have any future, or present, in comedy
@@slowery43neither do you
@@slowery43 You don’t have any future…
YES King go off!!!
Get on the damn gas woman!
Oh yeah.......I that's why I love it......the best American car of the 90s.......
The only bad part was.......
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN 1000 HP FROM THE FACTORY AND THE LAST ONE SHOULD HAVE BEEN 2000 HP!!!!
Best performance in 2010’s period
My guy how the fuck do you expect them to get 1k and 2k hp from a na engine with barebones tech.
@@Thereal_nishikiyama you find a way... you're a trillion dollar corporation...
Just goes to prove...I'm a better motorhead ....
AND I PROMISE THAT WITH MY DODGE HELLVIPER VENOM ACR....
You can take it to goodwood festival of speed and slap every Bugatti owner in the face....walk up to old man Pagani and tell him........ KNOW YOUR PLACE...BOY!!!
"thats Alanis with out a cheap kia product, honey call the cops"
I do love Kias
Some boomer called the cops on you. Quelle surprise 😂
They'd gotten home 15 minutes before the cop came down the road. It was wildly fast
Why was the in car filmed on a potato?
A friend died while filming and I needed to finish the video. The in-car footage was at night.
:( I am sorry to hear@@AlanisKing
I HATE you...............
No, no no you're terrific, I'm just criminally jealous 😂
It's such bullshit that a low volume vehicle like the viper couldn't be exempt from side curtain airbags. Charge exorbitant insurance, etc but don't save people from themselves.
Nice car! All hail King Alan!
Why are you parked on a gravel road???? 😬
The owner suggested this exact location and approved it
This car is just a great example of why the 5th Gen Viper is so good and commands such a price premium. The 1st - 4th Gen all have a very similar Fisher Price interior, making even the same vintage Corvette interiors look nice. The 5th Gen actually got a pretty decent interior. It also got much-needed traction/yaw control. Without that, it just makes the car less driveable on the street and having it takes away nothing as you can simply disable it. 5th Gen looks better and just better in every way IMO.
I don't think I'd ever want a 1st - 4th Gen Viper. I had a 590 RWHP C6 Z06 (so call it 675 HP at the crank). Weighed a good 200lbs less than this ACR. Handled well, was predictable, and properly quick. You buy Viper for the looks, but as an actual driver's car, I'd take my C6Z every time, both on the street and on the track. I also find the Viper sounds like an angry UPS truck - probably the worst sounding V10 out there.
Vipers are absolute puppy dogs to drive. Fact.
Tire technology has come a long way. Modern tires really tame the Viper.
Alanis, if you’re gonna review a Viper…you gotta be prepared to SEND IT. Remember your audience might not ever drive one…we need to experience it all through your review. Low RPM, put puttin around is such a let down 😒
1. There is a lot of liability in flooring a Viper that an individual owner (not manufacturer) owns. People spin Vipers on on-ramps
2. We decided to cut out the explanation, but it was nighttime and there were a lot of deer. The review went into nighttime because a friend died while I was filming
@@AlanisKing I’m sorry for your loss 😔
Too much car for sane persons, I wouldn't even try to track it.
8.4 liter motor that makes only 600 horsepower?! Nissan GTR can do that with 3.8 liter motor, what the...
The GT-R's engine is heavily turbocharged. The Viper's engine is naturally aspirated and low-stress. There's a lot of headroom to add a turbo to a Viper if desired. If not, the Viper can run basically forever stock.
Stupid! -- but I always had a poor opinoin of these cars because ALL the racing games dating back to the late'90s 👉 🏁 always overpowered and gave these cars a slippery AF driving model.. IKR! I didn't know anyone who owned one of these so there was no debunking the myth. But they are one of the sexiest cars in the late 20th. If I had 100k I would by a 911, if I had another 80k I'd buy a Viper.
Is there know interview process or anything for this job? Shouldn’t someone making videos about cars be a little easier to look at? And not be so hard to watch? Or know anything more about a vehicle outside of a brochure?
