I am very much impressed with Tibetan community for preserving their language and culture even in foreign land. This cannot materialised unless constant efforts are made by the community. I have seen young Tibetan mother telling her kids "bhoedkay kyab2" when they were speaking in another language. Because of such efforts only language are preserved which is quiet uphill task in today's world for any small community. Because picking of language of majority won't take any efforts which is lingua franca when you are dealing outside your community.

What she say is wrong abt the language part. They learn chinese as their main language and also learn Tibetian language as well. In Singapore mandarin is the main focus then Malay Hindi and other dialects. They have the best of everything. Look at Singapore. So rich, and diverse. They don't lose their culture. Why these people don't understand. Their children and grandchildren need to,progress with the world.
