The reality is that India under Nehru supported the Chinese occupation of Tibet by diplomatic, political and even helped PLA with ration in 1951-53. India's trouble with China started only after India signed Tibet to China by converting the Indo-Tibetan border to Sino-Indian in 1954.
Indian govt headed both by Congress and BJP who criticized Nehru for Tibet when they in power (Vajpayee to Modi) did follow the Nehru policy of appeasing China and silencing Tibetan.

I once used aap in front of my Mumbai colleagues and people called me Ustaad ji after that. There is no standard Hindi. The precursor to Hindi was Hindustani that differed in the Dakhni, Lucknow and Rekhta dialect. Hence these slight variations are visible. It's okay. It makes a language more vibrant and more diverse. Even in English there are variations between American English, British English, Australian English as well Southern American English.
