- Just a few secrets and things from World 1. If you stay to the end, you'll see how to get the coin ship, as well as how to warp from World 1 to 8 with only 2 whistles! It can only be gotten in Worlds 1, 3, 5, and 6
The purpose of showing level 1-6 was just to show you can fly over everything.
More of these will be coming eventually!
This was played on an emulator but did not use any slow-downs (frame-by-frame editing) at any time. Save states were used merely for visual quality purposes and time saving.

On the coin ship, right before you go down the tunnel to play the guys with boomerangs, there is an extra life mushroom. If you do not kill the boomerang guys, then it will allow you to play the level again so that you can get the star.
Jgreeneyes83: That information his incorrect, if you die in a coin ship, it become a hammer bro on the map, but you will have to do the trick again to turn it back into a coins ship.

I'm sure you know you missed a 1-Up on 1-6 but you also missed one on the Coin Ship. All you had to do was jump at the spot near the ends where you were repeatedly ducking.
In case anyone was wondering about the forgotten hidden 1UP in World 1 level 6.. if you go to 3:37 in this video.. it is just in the row of 4 blocks, above the green walking turtle.

U don't need to hold the turtle shell in order to go through the white panel u can do it without it

On world one level one, with the coin ship. There is also a hidden 1 up towards the end right before the tunnel.

ok so #1 i know a few tricksn getting the P wing, but i see in this video u have like a bunch,do u get them by having to get x amount of coins in certain levels/stages if so what ones, it it stage 2 in each world or what, also when princess gives u a cloud what is that for, no one will answer me, its like one of the only things i cant seem to figure out, someone pls reply! :) thanks
The cloud that the princess will give you lets you skip levels...
Equipping it makes Mario look like a cloud and you can skip certain levels...

The trick is holding down the A button right as you squish one, once your as high as you can go in the air you tap the A button as much as you can to lengthen the amount of time you float in the air. Then squish the next one and repeat.

I think I was 8 or so when Mario brothers 3 came out and I remember bugging the shit outta my mom to buy me the magazine at the store and she always did cause it was the only thing I would read
On level 1 there's a white platform that you can sink into after 5sec. It always bugged me that I couldn't figure out what it's purpose was.
I guess it never had one?
after you sink in to the white block, you become semi-transparent and appear to be "behind the scenery" and when you go to clear the course it will take you to a treasure chest with that first warp whistle in it. Anyway, some people call it a kaiser blade, I call it a Sling Blade.

Hold the A button down longer just as you step on a goomba. Then tap A to float as much as you can on the way back down.

He has rows and rows of P-Wings because he beat the game before the video and then just hit 1 Player to start a new game. They give you the P Wings as a reward. The Cloud powerup lets you skip any act on any world you want. (The squares with the numbers or anything like the Sun level or the Pyramid level on World 2. not like the things that take you in the level instantly like the Chomp head thing on Level 7 or a Hammer bro)

so the castle trick part still does not work on world 1 if your using a Nintendo system version it may work fine with a computer version game but doesn't with the Nintendo version i tried the trick tons of times and it does not work but all the other tricks do work fine.
go to one of the ice world and fly up and go in the door

Michael cigs Are you joking? Of course it works on an original NES. You fly up, move all the way right, and press Up to enter an off-screen door. It sounds like you didn't press Up.

Forever Conway He already demonstrated that one in Coin Heaven on level 1-3. He missed two other 1-Ups though (1-6 and Coin Ship).
Yes, but if it wasn't shown in the video, then some newbies may not be aware that the same 1UP in the sky could be done in 1-5, as it also is in 1-3.
