@@juanframetallica82You can't get much worse calling than HooXi. He's got good strats, but I'd rather ask the 8-ball sticker than go to HooXi for what to do in a midround. The first 10 seconds of a round decide it for G2 as a team, unless m0NESY/NiKo put up a multikill. Absolutely clueless at developing a round, reading opposing teams, or calling around his players. G2's No. 1 issue since Day 1 has been the teamwork and at least half of that is due to the piss poor calling. With HooXi at the helm, G2 have never looked like they had any idea what any of their players are doing at any point in time. Move him to coach where he belongs.
Also, Snax didn't have much time with the new GL roster. The old roster was doing nothing. I've seen people criticize GL's T-side, but that's ignoring that their Top 3 maps are Overpass, Nuke, and Ancient. That's the Top 3 most CT-sided maps in the pool right now. Not everyone can be peak Astralis where you just have an unbeatable T-side Nuke, a map where the only control T-side has is Lobby.

As a regular viewer of the show, I am disappointed with Nart's appearance as a guest in this episode. He wasn't very communicative and didn't willingly involve himself in the conversation. Additionally, he didn't thoroughly elaborate on his points, which often led to awkward silence as Thorin and Maui expected him to say more.
He is a more reserved person and this is one of his first appearances on a podcast. He will get better the more podcasts he appears on.

It's unfortunate but expected if you've ever seen any of his free-flow content (Pick Em videos, his own podcasts, patch reactions, etc). He just has a problem with expanding on anything.

I really, really doubt that he watches Nart's Pick Em videos or patch reactions, and the only podcast I can think of of Nart's Thorin might have seen is that one on women in esports he's referenced a couple of times on BTN/other shows in a comedic sense because it had like 15 women and then Anders on the panel for some reason.

Aren’t the majors going forward going to be the last tournament before the player break (tournament break). Pretty sure that’s been known for a while now. This should’ve been an ugly point since the schedule got scuffed due to the release timing of CS2. Therefore we didn’t get a fall/winter major in 2023 and we got an early Major for 2024. But that all gets straightened out by Shanghai. And by 2025 things should be smooth.

I'd love to see f0rest back in action on a legit lineup but it doesnt help his case that his latest tweets are about him competing in apex haha

40:59 Valve could "force" a player break by installing a period of a month after the majors where tournaments don't count towards the Valve ranking. They would have to announce this a couple of years in advance together with the new majors so there can be planned around it

In football you have player break and transfer window, that is a much better way of telling teams, you have X amount of time to see if you need to make a desperate move after that, work it out.

Not only do they have essentially the same stats, Hooxi literally has multiple moments (specially back in Kato and Cologne) where he won G2 important rounds, heck he even carried them against Navi on Anubis this last major where Hunter and Niko decided to take a nap. No offense to Nat, but his statement was basically a copy paste of reddit comments made by people who never actually watch the games

Hooxi is not a tactician, he simply knew top tier team weaknesses and exploited them. These were things that always existed and no one noticed.
Today, 50% of these tactics do not work anymore and the other 50% are so simple that even faceit pugs use them.
