Altice Amplify (Devialet) 3" Woofers-Insane Excursion

- I was finally able to track down a pair of these 3" Devialet drivers from an Altice Amplify. These are easily the nicest drivers I have pulled from a consumer audio product. They have fantastic excursion and sound very clean. Plenty of venting, aluminum cone, and a tall rubber surround. All complemented by a massive (for a 3" driver) neodymium magnet. I have also been told by @wdbaudio that these are manufactured by Tymphany. As always, subscribe for more!

Are those subs in the last scene subs from sonos sub? Sub gen1 or gen2?
The gen 1 and 2 use the same drivers. Gen 3 switched to a stamped steel frame and and a regular/non-inverted surround. But I think they are from a gen 2

Huh. you sure they're made by tymphany? i have half a box of these in their original factory packaging with the driver s/n and box seriel number sticker and it says foxconn interconnect technology on the side. Anyways nice video.
yes I am. I have a friend who worked at tymphany who sent me a picture of the prototypes for this exact driver.

Ohh hell nah… The processing quality (technically) is on a completely different level here. No Tang Band chassis would come close to this quality, at least not a (sub)woofer from Tb. The aluminum basket was deliberately avoided here. Should be functional. I don't know of any 3" chassis that has a so cleanly and lossless excursion. This one is special!
