My brother is a real estate agent and the state we live in doesn't require you to tell a client about previous deaths in the house, but my brother just can't in clear conscience not tell potential buyers.
I personally would want to know such things, but I can also see the motive for sellers not telling. Such information could be a talking point to a reduced price.

House down the road from me. Previous owner was a heavy drug user and suffered from a number of mental health issues. He turned his mid terrace former council house into a junk fortress. At some point in the early 90's, he ended himself by drilling his own head. The nieghbors didn't notice, no-one did. No one was sure how long he was dead but they found a dry skeleton on the floor, drill still in place. It took 25 years for the house to be sold.
We lived down the road from a house that couldn't keep renters for more than a month. My parents bought it dirt cheap. It was haunted. We obviously found out. We've also talked to a few of the past renters. What happened to them was worse than anything that happened to us. My mom lived there for thirty years. She sold the 80 acres plus house to someone who wanted it for hunting land. But then they sold it to a neighbor. His wife ended up unaliving herself shortly after.
The lady who unalived herself was the reason my mom sold the place. Mom bought a trailer house and tore the house down. The lady kept reporting mom for county violations. Wrong steps, her entrance wasn't regulation etc. We think the entity wasn't happy about that. Also, her husband had a mysterious illness and ended up wheelchair bound. He recovered after her death. Weird.
The trailer house was also haunted, even with the house torn down. When mom sold the house, my nephew took the trailer. It was fine sitting somewhere else. Apparently, whatever was there, stayed with the land.
When we were kids, my sister said she talked to a man. He died there working. She told my mom this. Mom's face went white. Because, mom did know, the guy who died there was plowing a field on a tractor when he died. The person my parents bought the house from kept an acre of land and built a house. That house couldn't keep owners for the same problem.

@@seameology Most property hauntings stay with the land but sometimes they can travel. I have a potentially haunted area on my property that I can't figure out why it would be, but it makes me VERY uneasy if I go into it. Plants grow weirdly in the area as well. Something happened there at some point but I probably will never know.

About the closet full of "model eggplants:" Back in, like, I dunno, the '60s or '70s there were these two groupies called the Plaster Casters. They made plaster molds of all the rock stars'/movie stars' Johnsons. I've heard it was a big deal if they wanted to make a cast of your Johnson, as it meant you were an A-list star. I have no idea if this still goes on, but I'm throwing it out there. I read about it in Aerosmith's autobiography.
Similar rubbish story: the guys in the apartment below us never took their rubbish out & burned it in their fireplace instead. However they would wait & let it pile up for weeks so roaches also infested the place. Not only did we have roaches as a result (& we are very clean) but one day we saw a bunch of smoke coming up outside our windows & balcony. They had set their apartment on fire. We almost lost everything to fire & water damage because of those a$$hats.
Rental property: someone made an attempt to end in the lounge, and they never changed the carpet. We only know since our upstairs neighbours were friends of ours and their when it happened. Rental agency wouldn't say
In london ..2008 we were looking to buy a place just before the credit crunch.
Viewed a 2 bed apartment with a MASSIVE Balcony overlooking a park. The balcony was bigger than the 2 bedrooms combined !
Inside it looked like the house was half furnished the kitchen was roughly put together and one bedroom just bare walls the rest of the placed was furnished.
The realtor said .... I sold this place 3 years ago to a young couple..... actually a very similar to you two!
Well unfortunately about a year ago the male murdered the woman .... and well you can imagine where the event took place. Shes dead. he's in jail and now the families are selling the property.!
He was so matter of fact about it !
Actually we did put in an offer but didnt get it. We figured .. we'll do an Exorism and call it home !
