- In this video, I'm putting the Swardman Electra 55 to the test, first using a six-blade reel and then switching it up to a ten-blade reel. Join me as I show how I manually mow my slightly overgrown lawn, starting with a six-blade reel to give it a clean, even cut. I've found this to be the best method to avoid taking too much off at once. You'll see how a manual reel mower can effectively cut the grass down without causing any damage.
Midway through, you'll witness a transition to the ten-blade reel. I do this to see just how tight a cut we can get with this powerhouse of a mower, the Swardman Electra.

I modified my rotary 4 wheel mower with two rollers to replace the wheels, I can run over rocks all day and keep cutting and I get beauty stripes

@@TheNeighborDominator stripes look great. Not sure with rye, but the KBG stripes a bit better for my above 1/2”. I’m back up to about 1 1/4” because of the drought we had.

I recently purchased the power rotary scissors from Seago after seeing your video on it (yah a year late seeing hat video haha) Wish I could do the same with this Swardman but man, they’re so pricey. Love the look of them and how quiet they are. Those stripes are incredible!
I appreciate that Travis! Are you in Michigan? If so come on by and give her a go. Every mower has its pros and cons, but with the electra is quietness is unbelievable. It is what I would expect from a battery powered machine.

I currently use a gas powered reel mower and recently bought an Ego rotary for a 2nd mower and to use on some hilly areas. It's got me thinking of going electric for the reel mower as well! Looking forward to more of your content!

I don't know how the gas is but the electric is so quiet. Its why i love it. The cut is good so far. Sometimes putting the cartridge in can be ass after being spoiled by the allett. But the allett has a lot of flaws too! Im torn. About to make a sick yardbrah/jessie/TND COCKtail for the back yard tomorrow.

I bought a Swardman Electra and all the accessory cartridges and had to ship it back before I could even use it due to ongoing reported problems with it. Bought the Allett Liberty 43 and the accessory cartridges and never looked back and have ZERO regrets
I had the Liberty-43 for about 3 years and loved it as well. I didn't like how the maxhine wasn't balanced properly but other than that, the machine was a striping monster and weighed nothing!👊🏾💪🏾

If the lawn ground is flat ok , but I doubt it would work that well on uneven lawn

Not yet. I really just started using it this year. I also rotate between Carmen and Allett. Fingers crossed we go a long time.

I feel they are two totally different machines. I am working on a video to answer everyones questions. I'll tell you this, an Allett stirling 51 delivered to my house with no battery is $7000 and a electra 55 is $4000 with a battery and charger

I am one of the lucky ones i guess. I haven't had any problems. I love how quiet it. But if you compare any battery reel to a gas powered, gm1000 tank...Those things are beasts!
