Honestly Persona 5 is really easy and Merciless is easier than Hard due to the hidden mechanics on Merciless.

The big hype factor of p5 is going from the presentation of p4g to this. You might be slightly less blown away due to playing p3R already
I actually still love it! I can take it for what it is. Plus the stylization is super unique!

In persona 1 every party member has a gun, but they’re real. The guns they have in p5 are fake

@@eunibuni the story is really good the only bad thing about p1 is the excessive amount of battles. You can walk for 10 seconds and you’ll have a random encounter lol

Just for people to keep in mind, Merciless is only easy when you have knowledge.
A blind playthrough is pretty much the only chance for Merciless to be... merciless.
I was fighting for my life the next time I played 😔 I feel so dumb rn but I believe I’ll get better with time! 😭
@@eunibuni Hey, at least you'll be able to say you had a rare experience by the end of this. If you do a NG+ Merciless run, then you'll see what I meant by "only chance".

Good for picking the hardest difficulty im happy for you
not that I'm complaining the way you play, but if you really like interacting with your viewers (as how stream should be) I really recommend to NOT use the Auto dialogue. this game dropping clues here and there, which might make you missed it if this keeps on happening. anyway, appreciate the balls for starting in Merciless.
I don't see the problem with using auto when I'm focused on the dialogue and if I missed something I can easily pull up the logs. I usually acknowledge chat when I have down time like running around or during a tutorial message/nothing is going on.

That just happens when you hover over the game in the home menu. It's not something you add yourself!

Merciless is debatably less difficult than hard because of how much damage you do. So much damage I found it too tedious to recruit new persona because they died in one hit 😅 It's a very fiddly way to play with needing to use status combos or items to down enemies for negotiation, so suggesting that to a new player was kinda mean 😅
My homie believed in me so i in return believed I could do it LOL it’s been fun!
@@eunibuni I wasn't worried about difficulty, more that merciless makes you do triple damage to weaknesses, so enemies die in one hit. That makes getting negotiations for more persona more complicated is all.
But if you're enjoying it that's awesome!

Comment section roast me if you disagree, but I think hard might be better than merciless for first playthough because a) merciless is not harder than hard it's just kinda different, and b) with merciless it sometimes literally impossible to capture persona's when you hit their weakness
If hard is harder than merciless, then I feel like that'd be worse for a first playthrough. Merciless still poses a challenge for me by learning the special mechanics without being as daunting. From other comments saying how much harder the hard difficulty is, I probably wouldn't be enjoying as much if I'm just getting frustrated.
@@eunibuni no that is a fair point, and I definitely support it. Just don't do what I did and never try down enemies with weaker attacks to capture personas! I realized the hard way halfway through that I barely had any compendium completion :(
@@96alguyf I figured out how to catch personas more efficiently after someone gave me some tips! I've been able to capture personas I need a lot better now.
