On 8'40 you need to turn off "power saver" mode on the LG to stop dimming. Change my life. Option is under DTX menu (only in game profile 1 otherwise it's blocked).
Picked up the Flex on sale for $1,299 at Best Buy and just set it up. Amazing monitor! How'd you get the KVM switch to work? I wanna use my keyboard + mouse with my PC and MacBook but when I switch, the keyboard and mouse don't get recognized on the MacBook. I have my keyboard and mouse hooked up directly to the monitor.
Hook the included USB to the MacBook. One of them says just USB and the other says USB and display. I think it's the one higher up. Once you do that, switch the inputs it should work. Oh and the other USB c has to be hooked up to your other computer. Also that's an amazing price!!!
I am coming from a 34" 3440x1440p acer IPS, I want old of course :) i also do some work from home which involves multiple windows and spreadsheets. however I am happy with my 34" 3440x1440p resolution, I I assume I would be happy with the LG or corsair. however I can't help wonder what the text lookalike on that pixel density ? would I be fine with spreadsheets etc ? thank you
Yeah. That's why I dedicated a good amount of time to talking about the pixel density. It's fine for me. Also I'm sitting arms length. It's not as sharp as a 34 inch, but the larger text size and immersion makes it a better trade off in my opinion
You're going the same path I am. The Flex has been on my radar since day 1 of getting the AW3423DW lol. I do really wanna try the Asus PG27AQDM though. If you get a chance, I'd recommend reviewing the Odyssey Neo G7 - another one on my radar.
I had the neo g7. 32 inches was too small to do work and I didn’t want to spend the money to get 2. Plus it had bad scan lines which I couldn’t get over.
@@consumertechwarehouse Oh wow. Hmmmm. Ok, would you say all of the current 1440p OLEDs (in all aspect ratios) are still more visually impressive in comparison?
I tried the asus rog 27” & its stupid responsive & smooth but not as bright as I wanted it to be honestly I got the oled g8 instead but nowwwww i kinda want this since its on sale
This 49 inch has been insane. I don't plan on returning it anymore. But maybe give the 45 ok much a shot. Or maybe the 32 inch 4k would work well for you. I had to increase the scaling a lot to where I lost too much usable screen real estate. Also give the 43 inch 4k g7 a shot. It's on sale at best buy for $500. I really liked that monitor actually. Only thing is it's not OLED if you dand those black levels.
@@consumertechwarehouse One of my buddies actually had the 49-incher for a few months. I had very little time with it, but I already don't see myself using that aspect ratio. It's either 21:9, 16:9, or 16:10 for me. Oh, and the DW absolutely ruined me lol. Only mini LEDs or OLEDS for me in the current market.
Brother i am using an msi rtx 4090 and a 4k 144hz monitor ie samsung odyssey g7 should i buy the corsair xeneon flex or the lg or the samsung one little bit confused as prone to screen burn issues first i was wondering about the corsair xeneon flex should i buy that ?
For gaming only definitely the Corsair or LG. It's weird gaming on such a wide screen. You can't really see most of it and the screen isn't as narrow on the 45 inch. I definitely enjoy gaming less on the 49 inch for sure. But it's a better panel and more resolution to be more productive
No it's not. It's perfect for gaming. Took about a day or two to get used to it if you're coming from a flat screen. But it's amazingly immersive and fun to game on. My biggest issue was the amount of space it took up on a desk
I can't. I don't have it anymore. But this is my desk and it took up almost the entire width of it. Hopefully that can help. www.amazon.com/dp/B08CR9SBNH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
If I want a monitor for Real Estate business so I can open multiple websites side by side and do some comparisons, do you suggest buying the Odyssey G9 over this one? and which G9 do you think is the best the LED, OLED or the mini LED? Thanks.
Yeah the g9 is the best for that kind of stuff. I do that all day with spreadsheets and websites as well. I got the OLED one. It's the newest in the series and OLED usually has the best picture quality
@@consumertechwarehouse thanks for your fast reply. I’m sure the OLED has a better picture quality, but some youtubers say that the Neo (mini LEDs) version has a better curve and you can see everything easily without moving your head. Is that correct?
Informative video...I noticed you had some excel tables up. I want to get this monitor but work in excel 10 hours a day - will this be a problem? Thank you!
I had no problem looking at spreadsheets for 10 hours. It's nice and big. Not super sharp in terms of text clarity due to the resolution but I had no issues. I just wish I had more room for more and larger spreadsheets. 3440x1440 is not enough for what I need.
@@consumertechwarehouse yeah makes it 33% brighter. I just ordered the LG one as got it cheaper. Just wondered if there was much of a difference really with the new update on Corsair.
My main concern is what everyone talks about the darn PPI. I do online college so I do a lot of reading/writing on my pc but I also game. Gaming I'm 100% sure I'd love it, the text clarity issue/concern is what scares me the most. For context I have a 32" Samsung G7 240hz and an Alienware 34" AW3423DW Oled and tbh the text is clearer on my Alienware than my 32" monitor.

Interesting. Thanks for that. I'll pin this comment. Hopefully it'll be helpful
Glad you mentioned desk depth. I had a feeling the big complaint people had was fixed by sitting further away.
Great review and comparison! Excited to see the oled g9 video
Thanks. I'll do one in the g9 when I spend more time with it. But so far it's awesome
Good review man! I've enjoyed the LG version of this panel. Just a very unique gaming experience! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the G9 OLED
Yea! I’ll start working on content on this monitor soon
@@consumertechwarehouse if this looks not the very best in comparison to the corsair. Im guessing the same applies for the 27inch size?
That was informative, nice to have a pov of someone actually using them not just review samples. thanks
I'm liking this video just for the flex pun, well played sir.
Thanks man I'm buy lg today I was going to get xenon flex
Happy I was able to help. I think you're making the right choice.
Ok, trying to boil this down. I plan to use this for gaming only, which one would you go with?
There was an update for the corsair that increased brightness by 33%. Have you updated and did it change your thoughts?

Really happy with it at this price point. Or if you're curious about dimensions. Either way...here's the link.

Yeah. My gaming setup is also my work setup
LG curve is way too aggressive, Flex can't be VESA mounted 😔
Also the he Flex has no height adjust, complete deal breaker.
