Filmed on 4th June 2023.
On 4th June 2023 at 0711hrs, 825/826 was deployed on T319 as the debut for the Alstom Movia R151. The train ran all the way until 1530hrs where it got to replaced by 129/130.
This train is honestly amazing, cold aircon, fresh smell, loud announcements, nice DRMD system. The only downside is that the R151’s motor is probably the most pathetic in the fleet.

SGT2581 Announcement: With LTA announcing the retirement of the First, Second and Third Generation Trains in Singapore, (Kawasaki Heavy Industries Contract 151, Siemens Aktiengesellschaft C651 and Kawasaki Nippon Sharyo C751B), both of us will be filming more of these trains on both NSL and EWL, to commemorate the great service that these trains have provided.

This marks the first time the EWL and NSL having a train with a different motor sound in 23 years. The last time was the C751B in the year 2000, and every train after that up until the C151C had the same sound.
It has SICVVVF which sounds almost similar to PMSM
I loved how everybody was chanting "Open, open, open!"

Older trains like the C651 have a lot of seats but then complain too tight

I was unlucky that i did not wake up early for the debut but I can go to the NSL debut if I'm not wrong that it is at Ang Mo Kio

Fun fact on the day the R151 debut. I was sick on that day. Yea I was unlucky
Sadly this new train marks the beginning of Kawasaki C151 and Siemens C651 trains retiring from service! I hope all of you that live in Singapore will get to ride the last one before they are all decommissioned.

This train operates on the East-West Line. It will also begin operations on the North-South Line next year.

@SG Trainspotter & Gamer It's normal for new trains to have some technical issues on the first few days of service. These teething problems are part of the bathtub curve in order for the new trains to settle down.
