I never understood why this movie doesn't have a bigger following. The jokes work, it's a fun blend of neighborhood urban legend, dark humor and likable characters, it's well written, well directed, the quality is pretty good for a modest budget. And hey, Wendy Schaal's awesome legs and lack of tan lines. What's not to like?
cult movies are better, it means Hollywood won't come and ruin it like they do for everything else and we get to enjoy forgotten gems like this.... Burbs, funny as all hell, one of my fave comedies...
Dante really knows his B genre movies. He knows how to keep a movie story moving...This one has a wonderful pacing to it. Not too fast, but not too slow. It's like a piece of music with a good rhythm to it. And Jerry Goldsmith sending up Jerry Goldsmith movie music. What a cast!
For some reason i always watch this movie on the first day of my vacations. Every time 😅. Became kind of tradition.Maybe cause Ray and Art have a vacation week. I've seen the burbs about 100 times. I wished I could live in a place or street like that 🤩 Yo, Rumsfield!!!
I really feel that Tom could tell the actor in blue was getting mad and frustrated during the cookie scene so he inserted himself to release the tension.
One of the most under-rated movies of all time - great comedy, satire, action, thrills, chills, with a brilliant Jerry Goldsmith score and excellent ensemble cast, just a masterpiece by Joe Dante.
@@sloburnjoHe wasn't fucking with him. If he had time to pull the plate away than take was going to be not as good. The best take wss going to be the door busting open the moment he brought the plate over in front of it.
@@oooh19 yes I know and I feel terrible for him . I’ve even read his book . It’s very messed up what he went through. His mom was a psychopath and pimped him out for money and physically and emotionally abused him, even chasing him around with a knife and syringe 💉 beating him bloody his dad was a druggie and also somewhat abusive , both his parents were evil monsters he was also sexually assaulted by his acting agents . I agree with you it's a big favorite of mine great cast it was good to see Gayle Gordon and Henry Gibson again Rick Ducomin hilariouset him once he's always good and you can't go wrong with Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher and Bruce Dern and the spookyness great comedy and you gotta wait for the pizza dude before you watch it

That wasn't trolling tho. The best take was going to be the door wacking the plate the moment it is brought over, not him holding the plate in front of the door waiting on it.

Not to mention it has our princess in it -- Carrie Fisher

Burbs, funny as all hell, one of my fave comedies...
And it’s like the most quotable movie ever
It's definitely better than a lot of other popular 80s movies.
Hanx best movie
Probably saw the burbs over 100 times now and is by far my favorite movie of all time ! Total classic
Agree. It's the most underatted movie of all time. My whole family loves it!
Corey was cracking me up! 😂
"Good going, dude!" "We have to go again..." "Watch that plate cause you wouldn't wanna drop it." "What the fuck?!"
I have no idea why but I've watched this movie more times than any other movie. This video just made my week.
Same, but I do know, because it's the best movie

This is a weirdly common trend. My entire family has seen this movie hundreds of times. I've probably seen this twice as many times as my number 2.
So cool seeing Tom Hanks jump in and reset the door so they can do another take. Really shows his professional attitude
Prob pissed how long it’s taking
He is a pedophile.
1:07 I love how Corey just said "what the fuck!" Lol 😂👍🏻

"Watch that plate cause you wouldn't wanna drop it" lmao he's so funny 😂
Those times, 😍😍😍💛feels like planet 80s.
"watch that plate 'cause you wouldn't wanna drop it"

Maggie Rdz Corey Feldman

I stood 5 feet away for every take and it was fun as hell, yeah I say that Ricky sure can throw a party and they cut everything else out
Gary Perez you were the friend in the burbs?
Gary Hays ... Ricky's Friend?
Watching Corey Feldman have to do take are take because he was high on heroin the whole film.
(p.s) Feldman admitted to it.
@@psygn0sis wow, all i noticed was Ric facking with Corey. So who knows what Ric knew

another cast member gone RIP Carrie Fisher you played the perfect wife in this flick loved star wars and drop dead fred
rip Rick great cast they just don't make movies like this anymore
they definetly dont :( atleast we can watch the burbs whenever we want
They don't make decent movies anymore. Period
Wanna go down to the deli and get one of those meat sandwiches. (right after he ate half of Ray's food for breakfast)
my fav movie of all time. so very under-rated
Well guess I’m watching the burbs in an hour
love this movie ;D RIP Rick Ducommun
I LOVE THIS MOVIE
That broken door hinge even made it into the movie..
There go the godamn brownies
sardine?
Last time we’ll ever see Corey’s Feldman and Tom Hanks share the screen together.
There's a reason for that. Feldman kept showing up high on heroin, and forgetting his lines.
psygn0sis yep did that with a lot of films in his youth which is why no one will hire him , that and the fact he’s trying to expose Hollywood .
@@breejames6323 1) he's been clean and sober for years so they should give him another chance 2) he was bullied and abused so much. very terrible!

Door was about to fall off the hinges!
Ive been a movie background extra and they shoot every scene a minimum of 15 times. Its for the editing floor to have all it needs. And its exhausting
This is awesome. I hope there are a bunch more in the upcoming blu ray release.
Best movie ever.
hahah " WHAT THE FU#K!?"@1:09
I can't stop listening to that now.
❤Corey Feldman❤
Wow, been a Burbanite for a long time but it's the first time I saw this. Where is this from?
***** Not from the Special Edition UK release, but from the deleted scenes assembled for the US DVD release and never used.
The Burbs

I feel like most of that was the veteran comedy actors deliberately trolling young Corey Feldman.
That wasn't trolling tho. The best take was going to be the door wacking the plate the moment it is brought over, not him holding the plate in front of the door waiting on it.
Thanks so much for these!
Finally saw this today. Fucking hilarious.

Love Corey Feldman
Corey Feldman as Teddy Duchamp. (1986)
I think those cookies are homemade
I miss that Canadian actor
Okay????
Okay????

What is the source of these outtakes? Even the BluRay with the workprint doesn't have this.
I could tell that some of the older actors did not like corey feldman
