I've been watching videos of Hutson for the past few months. I am blown away by his offensive skills. Literally blown away. His hockey IQ is in the top 2 (yes, not top 5, but top 2!) players I have seen in a couple of decades. Like all geniuses of the game, he has developed his own personal style and technique. His size will put him in difficult situations from time to time, but like all little geniuses, he has devised a catalog of moves and tricks that give him an edge over bigger players, which is to say almost all other players. My main concern is whether his teammates will be smart enough to adapt to and understand his moves and playmaking when he is on the ice!
Tony. You are the best. I’ll be listening over the summer.
It was quite a sight to watch Hutson dance inside the blueline looking to to carry the puck towards the net for a kill.

Both Tony and Snake forget that even though the habs will be serious contenders in 4 years the addition of defence man Konyuskov(spell check please) in 2 seasons will be a top 4 on this team. Don’t underestimate the Russian
Brilliant stuff from both, and this was the season where Tony found his mojo on podcast. And the mic levels are better from where they were when he started.

I don’t like the personal digs on snake saying, he’s not a likeable guy is simply unnecessarily rude. He has a harsh take on prospects that’s it some people over estimate some people underestimate.
I am a big HAB fan and I like the 🐍 nice not too hear cheerleading all the time.
I’m probably the least fanboy of any Canadiens fan but Mailloux's going to be a very good top 4 defenceman for the Habs

Tony, you’re right about who will be the top four at some point. I think they’ll contend before “three or four years” though. They might be three years from that being the top four, but they are a contender in two. IMO.

Since Allstar Game playing with McDavid was a point per game player and Slaf very close to and Caufield also. So if they keep it up, I can see them all get 75 to 90 points next year if all healthy and if they go get a few great players to help second line.

You cant have all Elite Dmen on our team. It will cost 16-18m for the top pairing, another 12m for the 2nd pairing, and 8m for the 3rd? You need a few Kovacevic/Struble/Harris type players to balance the budget. I cant see any team spending more than 30m on their D

looking at the final scouting mock draft , demidov and cole eiserman drop off in rank , the Montreal could pick demidov fist , and then if they can trade matheson for 10 -14 pick and eiserman still available . that the kind of trade you should do
now if they only get a late 25 + pick or even a 1st in the 2025 pick , no you don't do it .

One thing I agree with Snake is we need to cash in on Savard and Matheson in the next 1-2 years while they have peak value, we need TOP 6 TALENT, not 30+ yrs old defensemen
You cannot have all rookies or youngsters on your blue line...no need to rush anyone...I think Hutson and Mailloux both start in Laval
I think this is what thenhabs should do, they have to many talents in defense. So they should def start mailloux and hutson next year. And let Reinbacher marinade in the ahl for a year or two. So that fans gets accustomed to mailloux and Hutson at the same. Because i feel like if we start all our star prospects. To much anticipation and nothing might happen because everyone wants to do something. So we have bringing up rookies from ahl slowly. Like we did with mailloux.
K guys we saw Peoling score a hat trick in his first game with the Habs, we all got excited and he's inPhily now doing ok at 3rd center, but let's relax. Mailloux can be a top 5/6 and that will be ok. We can't have 6's Hutson's only 1 and then you have Reinbacher, Goulie and whover makes it and stays. 1 day at a time.

Would love to see the guys that said Hutson couldn’t play in the NHL talk now lmao… Played two very solid games against a team that was playing hard and physical to make the playoffs, They failed but Hutson in my opinion is an NHL player… You can definitely have a discussion on his potential but all this talk about “he’s too small”, “He will get killed in the NHL” blah blah blah is becoming hilarious, And Yes I know it’s 2 games but in my opinion he’s gonna be a great player… and the people that said his game wouldn’t translate to the NHL. As of now you’re completely wrong because he played exactly the way he played in the NCAA in these two games in the NHL and was very successful played solid put up points looked good out there… He also made some good defensive plays and stripped players of the puck multiple times… I said it in his draft year and I’ll continue to say it until proven wrong the kids a gem…

Slavkovski will never be the Canadiens best forward. That’s a ridiculous comment. He’s doing fine. He’ll be good, but he’s not gonna all of a sudden turn into some dynamic forward that other teams are afraid to play against. Silly statement with Suzuki and Caulfield on the team.
