- Simple video on the right way to prune maples or really any deciduous trees in winter. Winter is a great time to prune as you can see the structure of the trees and the trees will also not bleed sap at this time of year.
Please note: if you located in Melbourne, I provide bonsai services. Reach out to me on my email address at bonsaiworx@gmail.com if you would like to discuss your bonsai needs further. #bonsai #bonsaiworx #maple

Nice Male David, and thanks for sharing your work on it !…good job. I wanted to ask you though, You spoke about Re Potting really Soon in Winter !… Not Spring time. Is it Ok to Root-prune and do a Full re pot Now ?. I live in your neck off the woods too... Thanks and all the best.
I personally wait until til July to start my deciduous trees. August for my conifers. I know many who start now as they have too many to get through.
@@Bonsaiworx ok Great ! That’s really helpful Thanks a lot 🙏 All the best.. Enjoy the Sun Today ! It’s nice a nice day 😊
Love your videos mate. Can I ask what scissors you are using to prune with? they don't look like anything I have seen online but look like they cut very well.
The ‘cut everything” scissor come from Japan and imported from one of the guys who has contacts there. I don’t remember the name of them. He brought in 20 for my bonsai club but I think all have sold out. If there is packaging left behind at the club I will try and get a name. If you know Joe Morgan Payler then he is best to contact about these. Hope that helps.
