- Hello peachies🍑 If you've been scrolling through TikTok lately, you've probably noticed the buzz about heavy versus light makeup and the ongoing debate about which suits you better. There are even makeup filters on the app that let you try both looks instantly, helping you decide which one aligns more with your personal style. Now, while this might be a quick and fun way to figure out your preference, let's not forget that makeup is so much more than that!
Amidst the TikTok makeup discussions, have you also observed a recent shift among female celebrities? It seems like our favorite east asians celebrities are shaking things up and saying "buh-bye" to eyeshadow! But wait, there's a makeup mystery that needs solving.
Why do some of us, despite mastering the art of intricate eye makeup, end up looking like they've pulled an all-nighter? Meanwhile, others effortlessly rock the au naturel look and somehow manage to make their eyes pop even more than a full-on glam session!
But fear not, because we're about to spill the tea on a little secret that nobody, even the celebrities makeup artist seems to have let you in on, the underlying theory of eye makeup!
Hope u guys will love this video!♥☺ pls enjoy peachies!

This is very true. All those years I wore heavy make up looks and always wondered why I looked so odd with it. Recently I learned about higher and lower visual weight and I found out that simple make up suits me more and it fits my face more because I have a baby face.
babe wake up dear peachie posted
I think of all the time I wasted on cut creases and other complicated looks and I want to laugh. My eyes are hooded, so the creases disappear anyway--I am much better off with a single shadow look and a swipe or two of eyeliner. To balance this out, I can carry more intense hues without a lot of difficulty, so it's not too bad from where I sit. Thank you for the video!
Please make a video regarding suitable hair colors for each seasonal color subtype
Yes I am wanting to know about seasonal colors when it comes to hair colors and style also ❤
Yes, I'd love a video of that as well!
Yes yes yes!! We need this
not exactly about personal color but didn't she already make that?
Yes we need it 😊
Really good explanation, but it's easier than that:
A) It's just not as fashionable rn
B) Celebrities are getting older and heavy makeup drags their eyes down too much
🤔
I might have to replay multiple times as I am wearing makeup based on my mood 😂😂😂 it’s all about expressing and have fun w it. Sometimes being spontaneous is much more alleviated. It’s not always about the perfection.
The challenge is it's rare to see makeup tricks without using contact lens. Wish to see eye make up that enhances the eye area or make the eye appear larger without using colored contacts. I have sensitive eyes and I really can't use it. Plus in my country, aegyo sal is not 'in' bcoz people says it looks like an eyebag or lack of sleep 😅.
I love how you make it about preserving your natural charm/beauty🥰
For people with high to very high visual weight, having some contrast is good so your eyes (especially if they're smaller) are not overshadowed by other strong features/shadows on the face, right? In this case what approach would be best with eye makeup?
From what I understood I think it means that a bolder look will still harmonise well with your features! You just need to make sure you use techniques that give the illusion of a bigger eye area and not just a bigger eyeshadow area (unless you want your eyes to seem smaller of course)
@@EmL-kg5gn Thank you!!
The Makeup By Mario Master Mattes “The Neutrals” are a great neutral palette for subtly enhanced eyes
Not suitable for cool-toned girlies. The palette is very warm.
@@sumimasen_wtf no, actually, it's a cool palette. they're not talking about the original, they're talking about the new one.
@@electrictwilightnew one isn’t even cool. It has few cool shades but generally it’s neutral at best
Hi! I know that this video (and your channel too) focuses mostly on East Asian styles, especially for monolids, but do you have any videos on how to do makeup for hooded and deep-set eyes? Having hooded eyes is kind of similar to a monolid, in that a lot of makeup on the upper lid disappears when you open your eyes. But it's also difficult because there's a deep crease at the corners, which makes it almost impossible to do winged eyeliner (it develops a strong curve that's very difficult to avoid), and my eyes can look sunken-in and sickly much of the time. Instead of trying to define my eyes more with aegyosal and cut creases, I'm trying to do the opposite. I'm turning 28 this year, and my younger roommates introduced me to k-beauty - and it's already been so helpful and exciting! I'm just not sure how to apply it to my eyes, since they're so different. Thank you! ✨
Hey I've had the same issue, but these days have no problem applying eyeliner even in different shapes :) I'll try my best explaining, but it might be a bit difficult to understand without any visual references
The key is looking at the natural curvature of your upper eyelid and extending it 3-5mm as a first step, following the natural curvature. That way you have a new "end" of your eyelid outside of the space where your natural eyelid is covered by hooded lids. In my case, following the natural curvature of my upper lid makes me draw a 3-4mm long downturned line.
Now treat the end of that new line as the end of your eyes. From the end of that new line, feel free to flick up your eyeliner wing for the cat eyes effect or continue down or straighten the line for a cuter puppy eyeliner effect.
I also highly recommend filling in your lower triangle zone after using this technique.
I'll comment again or edit this if I find any links to pictures or videos where you can see what I tried to explain💗
I hope it helped and sorry for any mistakes english is not my first language :)
@@makkachin9614 This is such great advice, thank you! I've been experimenting with going "down" with my eyeliner, kind of like the "puppy eyeliner" look, because I didn't know how to deal with my deep crease. I'm going to try this sometime. 🧡Also, your English is fantastic!
@@MedorraBlue aw thank you 💗 I'm glad I could help! I actually found a video that kind of shows what I tried to explain, it's by Saerom Min's channel. Not sure if the video has an english title but the video has english subtitled, just copy and paste "saerom min 눈이 길어보이는 화장법" to find it 💗
Hi! I rmb dearpeachie made a video abt makeup for hooded or deepset eyes. Check out the video which is named sth like ‘beginner to pro… eyeshadow for every eye shape’
It is actually what im lookin for, tysm! 💋
Thank you dear peachie 🍑
This is amazing😮 you are the best👍💯
Light make-up makes one appear younger and fresh. That's why I prefer light make-up.
Agreed!
Thanks for this video! I have really started to hate how strong eyeshadow looks on me.
Can you pls make a video on silicone-based makeup vs water-based makeup? I find that my makeup gets a bit cakey by the end of the day no matter how much I set it and I really feel like it has to do with the mismatch of silicones and water in my makeup products but I'm kinda confused what it might exactly be. It'll be so helpful if you take up this suggestion for some new content! Love your vids!❣️
can you do a tutorial video on how to achieve the ingenue makeup look? looking forward to it! >
Could you do a video on epicanthic folds?
wow, my eyes lean slightly outward sometimes and i could never understand why certain makeup looks made it appear even worse, but this totally cleared it up for me!! thank you!!!
❤we will love a video about seasonal colors for hair plz❤
Please make a video about eyeliners for each eye shape
I think dearpeachie already made one. Just try looking around their homepage
could you do a video on long necks or another video on body proportions >.
So then that means females with 'high visual weight' (BIG cat-shaped eyes that immediately dominate the face) SHOULD play up this feature with eyeshadow, liner and mascara. Having 'high visual weight,' according to cosmetologists, means you are suited for artfully applied glamorous techniques - it won't look overdone on you. This is good for the guys online to know; maybe they'll stop calling makeup "cheating" if they understood that big exotically-shaped eyes need accentuating (for a good reason!!!).
Can you give us a bold look example using this principles ?
Dear Peachie I love your videos but I’d like to know more about doing makeup for disproportionately large and small eyes
Bcuz light makeup look so natural, i do not like wearing heavy makeup but I only use 2 or 3 products for makeup and it looks natural which i like the most.
That's your personal preference
@@CordeliaWagner1999she knows that. Why do you feel the need to comment that?
@@moon_0207mostlikely took it as a personal attack, because the video featured “heavy” makeup. However the styles were still “natural styles so I don’t get why they felt the need to comment that either lol OP just stating what they like
please make a video how to increase the width of the face (fox example for narrow, long, oblong face shapes etc.)
Some tips that are not related with makeup:use hoops(medium size, not super long)
-make waivy hair (to add width to the face)
Now with makeup:use expanding shades blushes
-contour your face shape to balance it.
If you wanna know more they have vídeos on everything that I listed:)
-how to choose earrings for my face shape
-propotions(by dear peachie)
-how to do makeup for your face shape
-how I know if waivy or straight hair suit me .
@@YumeraChauque omg thank you! I appreciete your time!
Thank you ❤❤❤
This why people with large round eyes or heavy lids look great with glamorous eyeshadow and false lashes because they have the extra space to make the eye appear smaller and not overwhelm them. Where I have smaller almond eyes that look 😂weighed down with heavy eyeshadow looks. My favorite look is light shadow of neutral brown or dusty pink in the crease and up to lift my lid as I’m nearing middle age
Hi dear peachie your videos had inspired me very much.
And if you see this comment please post a video on makeup for bunny face type. Cause eveytime I do my makeup I feel I am lacking something
They had posted. Search on they channel.
I think you are spying on me
How is it that every time I need to figure something out you upload it? ❤
How long should the eyeliner be drawn?
2.5 minutes in and my mind is already blown 🤯
so to be clear- if you have upwards leaning eyes, you should just do thick liner and mascara? is that right?
I was very grossed out but also felt dumb for not being apart of the cut crease whole child’s painting on your eyes thing. Bc just everyone was about it. But to me it looked a little bit crazy and I felt it would be embarrassing later. Stage makeup on every day is always going to look badly later on it seems
Make a video on bridal makeup please 💄
Hello, Dear peachie! Thanks for your videos. Could you please make a video about how to make your visual weight higher or lower? ❤❤❤
isn't visual weight something you have since beginning? like it's already been there. we can't really change our face
I’ve tried more bold makeup but idk if it’s because im not use to it or im doing it wrong or i just simply don’t look good in it.
You might be a low visual weight.
4:41 oh no, I see the opposite. 😕
Hey peachie can you help my eyes and eyebrows are wide set and mine upper lip is heavy and upper lips is small please 🥺
How you make so good videos?
Definitely light
Ooooh earrlllyyy☺️
I never looked good with heavy eyeshadow even though I have non hooded round eyes.
Emma stone looks better with the darker eye shadow
Wow 😍, such a useful video!! ❤🧡I like BLACK PEARL creams, great effect, although they can be hard to find. I personally get them from Dead sea shop, where the discounts are nice.😋😋🤩
I’m just gonna go back to the make up style I learned from yui minakata, cute and youthful.
❤❤❤❤❤
Why is my monolid so different 😭😭

Heavy makeup says “I’m insecure. I need more coverage.” Lighter makeup says “I’m liberated and steady. I don’t need more cover ups.”
sad to say that dearpeachie fell off T.T are you feeling pressure to post because tacktock brought more subs? please take the time to create a proper vid, like you used to, instead of this...this stuff... we want old peachie back!
wdym? she always been making videos like this. the only difference is that she uses a different voice over.
Erm what do u mean by “a proper video”? U define the quality of a video by its length? If so it shows that u never really watch dearpeachie’s video before making this judgement. What a shame 😅
@@clairiesdiariespoor dearpeachie 😂 made a 9-min long video (which is not considered short compared to those
@clairiesdiaries what does the length of the video have to do with anything? i'm so confused :< are you an ESL? i've been watching this channel since they published their third video.
I think Peachie is trying to release shorter videos since she/they posted on ig that majority of their fans wanted videos that are shorter in duration (less than 10 mins or something)😚 OP, what do you mean by “proper vid”? I find this video quite eye opening for me since I’ve never heard these from anywhere else… I guess it is short and sweet with crumb-sized info
Could have been an interesting video had it not been for the annoying distracting repetitive music
