Hi there, I'm a current university student and you're officially a part of our curriculum, congratulations man!
For reference, we have a sort of debate/discussion and we're arguing for our points of view. You're a part of the milestone where we have to apply these blocks to it.
Thanks for letting me know. It's very encouraging to hear this video is being used beyond my own classroom!
@@chrisgatt2965 No problemo! if anymore of your stuff appears in the classroom I'll happily let you know!
Forgot to mention but this is for an animation course as well.
Nonetheless, fantastic work by the way, it was an enjoyable video to watch!
Pov: you were sent here bye a teacher for a class debate.
yea i dilike my class geuss witch
Based on your spelling of "Bye" (by), I pretty sure you should be in class..
how you know.....
Yeah
This video is an illustration of just how flawed my primary and secondary school education was.
I'm not sure if that's a compliment or criticism?
@@chrisgatt2965 Big time compliment. I'm coming here as a 31yo, and this is hands down the simplest / most effective way I've seen to build an argument.
Well done! I’m using this for a class I’m teaching.
Thank you this is exactly what I needed.
Very well explained, useful video! Thanks.
Brilliant video. What do you recommend to read to increase your understanding on these points?
woow thank you for making this video available...i am a student from Southern Africa, and most of my studies require a good marshalling of arguments .... i find this video helpful....*** i could have nailed my high school if only i knew these blocks....thumbs up to you my writing skills will never be the same
Thanks for your encouraging comment!
Thank you, it was very helpful video...
I have debate tommorow thanks for this. It helps me a lot
thank you now I will proceed to write a 300 word argumentative essay.
Awesome explanation mate. 🙏🏼
Thanks for the encouragement. I'm glad you found it useful.
Thanks
Amazing video , been looking for something as succinct as this. Thanks
May God bless you longevity .
It's very useful video ,,,,,,,,,,,
Please upload videos everyday .
Your language is very sweet
i love you
Thank you, good sir! This helped me a lot. Please keep up what you're doing.
Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm glad you found it useful.
May I ask what reference you used for this?
Sorry, I don't have access to references now. I based it on a range of reading and experience as an English teacher. There are lots of websites that outline the idea of Ethos, Pathos, and Logos.
@@chrisgatt2965 Oh, okay. Thank you again.
Thank u for this
Excellent video. I have not seen any like it, despite viewing many on logic/argument. More people need to view it.
Can you add key terms or something to get it to come up with more search terms? (Sorry, I'm not sure how all that works with YT uploads.)
Thanks for the positive feedback. I've got several search terms attached to it already. What do you think I should add?
A+++ 😀 if only I knew about this video while back at schooling haha
your videos are the best, keep it up bro, I'm a huge fan from Antarctica!!
Not from China?
Chris Gatt nah born and raised in Antarctica

Thanks, I hope it's helpful.
it really is, my professor is terrible at explaining things to me, bless his heart, but now I can finally finish my assignment! lol
Great video Chris!
Thanks! I'm glad you found it helpful.
Thanks a lot
Good night we've got so much arguing these days that we now have tutorials on how to do it lol.
But hopefully these techniques help to build sound arguments, not just pointless shouting.

Hi, Chris! I am not here to diss your video, I think it´s good enough for young students (although the music is horrifying) but I was shown it for a very serious, postgraduate course and I really feel like I have to post this and let university teachers that this is not acceptable teaching material for 18+ students under any circumstances. So if you think it is amazing and plan to use it to teach students about what an argument is and how it should be constructed, just don´t. It will make them lose all interest in the course and any trace of respect they might have had for you. Best case scenario they will think you see them as idiots, worst case scenario they will drop out of your course. Nothing good will come out of it, so please, just don´t!
Again, Chris, this is not so much directed at your content but at its misuse by some people that really should know better.
Shush mate
Pupian here🤗 anyone?
So you took your kid's toys and drew on them with permanent marker :(
this will never work on parents lol
:v quien mas esta aquí por tarea xd
*Jesus* loves you regardless of what you have done. You are loved by *The Eternal KING* .

May God bless you and your family.

shit way to explain the 7 building blocks i have been a English teacher for over 30 years and this was sad to watch
So Mark, you said, "shit way to explain the 7 building blocks i have been a English teacher for over 30 years and this was sad to watch"
1. You shouldn't be a teacher if you are swearing like that.
2. You shouldn't be an ENGLISH teacher if you can't capitalise the first letter of a sentence and can't make the 'i' capital or put a full stop at the end of a sentence.
3. Why is there a double space between "teacher" and "for"?
4. Why don't you explain the 7 building blocks right now then huh?
3. You don't seem to be using the 7 building blocks in your comment.
