    The 1/4 pitch and .325 chain on the top handle saw is a real gamechanger. My Stihl 194T came with a 1/4 pitch guarded semi-chisel chain. I have now replaced it with a Panther unguarded chain. It cuts really well and you can bore cut with it. I am hoping WCS will make a muffler for it soon. I haven't tried .325 Mini, but I see lots of CZcamsrs using it. Thanks for the video, I am sure your subscribers will appreciate the info in your video.

      I had heard and watched people mention the different chains cutting smoother but until I experienced it myself, it really wasn't very real to me. Interesting how experience changes that. I would only buy the 2511T in the Nano version. It is truly that much better feeling. I think the safety chain is an effort to make the chain a little less jumpy I assume?

It is interesting how the battery saw likes it a bit more and I think it has to do with the torque of the motor. The bigger chunks being removed allows for a smoother cut due to the ability to apply a little more pressure. Thanks again man!

But a small light saw its just nice to run. I dont know how these guys only run 18lb falling saws all day... My back would be toast..

    • @oakiewoodsman
      @oakiewoodsman  Před měsícem

      I think it depends on the type of trees you are processing. If you were falling only stick straight trees that are shaped like pole, limbing up a tree with a 28" or 32" makes a lot of sense. Working on a down field tree. with massive limbs sticking everywhere is a different story and a light nimble saw goes a long way. I am blessed to have both kinds of trees on my property so it has been mind blowing to see both disciplines have a place. I love my 20" bar and I love my 28" bars. Works well for me in different scenarios.

      Thanks for watching and sharing. So to be clear, it is not whether or not a tool performs superior for the task it is more or less a principal type issue for you? I fully understand where you’re coming from in that direction. However, I also want to use the best tool. I can possibly use for the job at hand. That doesn’t mean that I would even suggest that everyone should buy a battery power chainsaw. Quite the contrary, if you have any amount of work that you need to accomplish, and you only want to one. I think a small two strokes saw is the best way to go. The battery does, however have its place in my lineup of tools to use in different scenarios. I am happy to own it however the 2511 T is going to end up, being very powerful shortly once it gets ported.

I would rather go back to working a arm powered saw that's how committed to it I am. I have a Ryobi pole saw that was purchased during his term and the tech was not new back then. I do not agree with the push to electric being better for the environment. There is a ton of waste and lots of disposable products being made because of it. Might it be governments and companies working in conjunction to sell more products? I personally believe that to be more of the case. I am a conservative friend and seriously appreciate your time. Have a good one and enjoy running them 2 stroke OPE.
