    Very nice second look and drive Derek. External styling is gorgeous I really like what Cupra are doing. Internally, I still prefer the Enyaq it's the haptic buttons and window controls that let it down , the centre spine looks good but you lose a lot of storage because of it. Looking forward to your coast to coast when they are available in Ireland.

    Looks amazing! I have a Cupra Born that I love, looking forward to go to for a Tavascan in 1-2 years.

    If you must compete with Tesla and China's electric cars , You need to offer something special. This Cupra looks so good....

    *Cough* The Born is technically an SUV is it not? It's certainly bigger and taller than a Leon or Golf

    Hi Derek Looks a very good car but out of my budget. I could maybe look it in two or three years time when it will be less then half price. Keep the reviews going will be interesting to maybe see the new Alfa Romeo Junior.

    100% the TAVASCAN....I would have gone for the ENYAQ but looks wise this trumps it...

    Amazing car well done cupra dont want packs just give us good spec on endurance and everything on the vz but priced higher too many options leads to missing out on spec nnmo ones gone buy every pack

    I think it’s inarguable the Cupra spin on every VW chassis (and the minor tailored ground up models) are great looking.

    Lovely car - think it's nicer than the VW, Volvo EX30 or Polestar 4 you were in recently.. but would be concerned if it doesn't have the "chuckability" that the Born or my e208 has - Tesla and Jaguar have shown that heavier EVs can still be driver's cars, and I'd expect that from Cupra too..

    • @NevoEVReviewIreland
      @NevoEVReviewIreland  Před měsícem

      I'd prefer it over the VW too. More in line with XC40/C40. Polestar 4 would be a price point above. I also drove the CUPRA Born VZ. Video coming soon. Very very chuckable

    No rear wiper?! Wouldn’t consider purchasing based on that alone!

  • @brendansheehan7714
    @brendansheehan7714 Před měsícem

    Beautiful car but I always liked the Cupra Born styling so why wouldn't I like this! Lack of one pedal is disappointing and probably a deal breaker for me as is the lack of a rear wiper. The price is only ok but given the range I could accept it. What sort of battery does it have? If NMC what are the ratios? Charging speed I am not sure if you mentioned it.

    • @ClarionCaww
      @ClarionCaww Před měsícem

      I wouldn't place that as a deal breaker 😀 it still slows down to rolling 5km p/h so you just either keep your foot on the break or just use the handbrake. I just release the break in my ID when I need to go. The rolling state is actually quite helpful when in traffic and would be a nuisance for me having one pedal in R mode. I would place greater emphasis on other features, I'd argue regenerative braking levels is more important than one pedal

    I'm not keen on all that copper. It makes me think of a really huge Ninja air fryer, the one with the copper handles.

  • @jasonwalsh8299
    @jasonwalsh8299 Před měsícem +1

    It's a shame VW group didn't let them get rid of the haptic button steering in favour of the new ID physical button steering wheels. The VW group are still pushing the older tech onto Seat & Cupra.

      @@NevoEVReviewIreland most likely will be in a refresh. I do like that the styling isn't too ID4/ID5. That was my problem with the Born, it wa far too ID3 looking.

    Nice car, but can it compete with the Chinese offerings and their prices? I prefer it to the id5. No wiper is a mistake.
