What I really like is the ambient sound.. I find it really calm and reminds me the old RE
Those may have been your audition lines, but I say you nailed it. The game itself looks amazing.
The part I really like about the environments in this game that the old RE games really nailed was that occasional part of the background that moved slightly or just caught your eye. It's like a little jump scare that only this kind of camera angle can get right, something just as the camera changes makes you raise your weapon and then go 'oh wait it's just a plant'.
This game is combining all first Resident Evil trilogy in one, tank controls...sign me up!!! This game really hits deep.

Duuuuude! That street full of zombies from 5:30 - 6:20 was crazy!!!! This dude absolutely nailed the RE vibe with this game! And it's so awesome that you voice the main character in the game Kai, you did an amazing job dude.

The word Analgesic is used in the US. It’s mostly used by individuals in the health care field. Analgesic can be as simple as Tylenol or ibuprofen. It’s a pain reliever

Holy Shit... Its like the old classic resident evil 2 game but with updated engine, nice graphics and new gameplay and still keeping the classic resident evil formula. Already added this game to my wish list on steam.
19:15 - Are pubs this big?
There are a chain of pubs called Weatherspoons in the UK and at least half of them have you walking half a mile to get to every bathroom. It's a pretty clever way to get drunks some exercise.
You also have to climb or go down 2 flights of stairs and go around half a dozen corners to reach the toilets too; then there's the crazy carpet patterns...
I've felt like I've been lost in the Spencer Mansion on many occasions while trying to drunkenly find my way through weatherspoons!

Very cool game Kai! My favorite room is the rec room with the old white fridge and TV set with white noise/snow. That would be cool if the devs could integrate a news report or program to pop up on the TV as you walk thru. Very much like the OG RE2-RE3 vibes. I always wanted a more immersive feeling with the games -like not just a photo darkroom but one where you interact with it, develop old film rolls and get clues to advance.
An audition is probably all you need for a good quality OG RE experience with chresy or goofy sounding voice acting

16:51 It's more modern than a typewriter and an ink ribbon to save the game, but also over 40 years old. The design is not matching 100% and there are differences, but it is looking like the good old Commodore 64 home computer with a 1541 floppy drive :-) Or a VC20 with 1540. Great that these 40+ year old Commodore computers show up in a game, but so do they in some movies, like John Wick, in a Black Mirror episode, and others. Back to the topic: Echoes of the Living looks awesome great, and it seems, the whole game is made with a lot of love. Also nice gameplay and presentation of the game in this video, thanks Ink Ribbon :-)

That game is literally "I'll make my own resident evil but with blackjack and hookers" rofl like for two people to do so much insane detail and work capturing the vibe of RE 2 and 3 so well is absolutely amazing and I agree that it's a demo because I know I'd want more XD

There are so many things going on and I love it! It is dripping with all kinds of amazing, nostalgic RE vibes. As you said, this is what RE fans have wanted to for a long time. I wish that Capcom would go back to making the games like this.
But getting back to this game: the fact that this is done only by two people is beyond impressive. This little bit of gameplay was enough to get me interested, though I am looking forward to seeing what the story is all about.
The atmosphere is on point for sure. The environment is incredibly Raccoon City like. The herb models are really pretty! And hey, for audition lines, that was some pretty good voice acting and I'm glad you're part of this!
Keep us updated on this game! As soon as this releases, I am totally getting it!
I love the old RE style games, sure it is a outdated look but just has the nostalgia of most horror games from the ps1 and ps2 era. I love to play this one day, if goes to console

Right when you say tactical reload the animation is the same as if the gun was empty. If the devs could change that to be more realistic (like RE4R and Metal Gear V)), it would be amazing since most games don't have that kind of care with the guns.
Just the idea of playing something like classic RE, but with new content and great controls chilled up my day a lot. Thank you for sharing this, Kay, I will definitely be playing this next weekend
Now see I dont get it. Capcom could literally have a sub division for making games like this shall we say for a niche market, which I am sure would cost much less money to cost, and could make quite a bit of money. Yet, they wont. Strange....
Just finished the Liam part of the demo. Had a fun time still needs some fine tuning and whatnot. Hey Kai you and Moonglint should consider a cheesy 1996 RE1 campy voice track as an unlockable bonus.

5:11 Analgesics (anal-G-6 {stop laughing}) and it is a word we use all the time. Means pain reliever like asprin or acetaminophen. Like a much weaker alternative to narcotic pain killers. Kinda suprised you haven't heard it before and strangely satisfied to see it in the game.
Also diggin' the RE3 style blind corners with a nom nom. Memories...the inception of inevitable cardiovascular disease...

For those who didnt notice it yet, that small hidden nook that you crawl into which has Ammo, a Key and a Herb is bugged, meaning all these three ressources spawn indefinitely whenever you reenter the room.

This game is truly made from the lovers of classic survival horror and I am so excited to play this. The peak cock pub for aristocrats constructed by William Morton? I can just tell it’s gonna be full of Easter eggs Morton is the name of the family from alone in the dark the new nightmare, a highly underrated survival horror that was a carbon copy of the resident evil formula. This game is truly a love letter to us fans. I would pay top dollar for this game no joke

I got stuck on the Safe combination next to the staircase where you get the rusty key. and I still don't know how you get that 5 letter word combination. I had to look up the answer on the Residence of Evil "echoes of the living" playthrough and i don't think they showed how they got the answer either
