  • relativity can be understood easily enough whether you have a scientific background or not. it may give you a better idea of how time and space function not as individual ideas, but as being tied in to every object, process, and event in the universe.

Far more wisdom in the Bible than the fallible ever-changing “science.” I love the matter-of-factness of people, only to revise their previous beliefs and statements and they dismiss it as, “Oh, well, of course…” The lack of humility among scientists is entertaining. They can’t even explain why gravity exists-how any mass has this inherent characteristic. It just does. And they layer their nonsense on top with absolutely no clue.
Meanwhile, the Bible eloquently describes self-destructive human behaviors and the Godless among us dismiss it out of hand while proceeding down their path of those very same self-destructive behaviors. It’s actually amusing to observe the arrogance and how the arrogant cling to their own invented religions completely oblivious as to that’s exactly what they’re doing.

i completely agree with you - this man, and other geniuses, have a completely different processing system and brain to the average human. also, a lot of geniuses and brilliant minds with IQs of 170+ have stated that they have trouble explaining and articulating their concepts and thoughts to others, as it makes sense in their mind, but comes out all confusing to the average listener. it's also the probable reason as to why you don't see many geniuses out on TV broadcasting what their projects are, or what they're working on, because they genuinely don't know how to. i personally think that this man, being as young as he was in this video and yet STILL managing to explain such insane concepts such as relativity so clearly, is one of the most impressive things i've watched. i truly believe he will do incredible things one day.

Id love to see the difference in response if the ideas were presented by a more social person with the same understanding of the concept. This is something I see a lot as a physics major. When talking about topics I really like and love to discuss, there are times when I talk slowly because I can somehow imagine everything I want to say. The only problem is the mouth cannot keep up with the brain sometimes since the brain thinks faster than the mouth speaking. Even in essays, I find myself having lots of grammatical mistakes because my brain was just thinking too fast that I already thought I wrote everything I was thinking. Hence, I slow down sometimes. This draws possibilities about how stationary means speed of light, and that everything in the universe is actually moving.
Except the light is not really concerned with directionality? or maybe the universe is.
Either way, the rule is, stationary means at the speed of light, and light particles are always stationary, they aren't affected by this momentum causing the gravity in our world.
Which basically means that we're moving with the speed of light (With a neglected direction somehow, or maybe the directions here are time and velocity), reaching the speed of light would mean reaching the true stationary state of the universe, and going past it may either go back in time, or reach a different opposite universe to ours.
This could also mean that either light particles are what determines the flow of time, or there is a new unknown time particle that is also stationary (Travels at the speed of light), and we experience time because we are not stationary and we're going through many of these time particles per second, causing us to experience the flow of time.

For anything to move it needs RELATIVITY (distinction between 2)(a measurement) how would we know u moved without knowing where or how far u went?(that's RELATIVITY) now with the light part he says that if a beam of light shot pass u whether u are moving or not then you would b a still object because the light is moving so fast u can't keep up nor measure it's movements...hope this helps 💡

7:30 What you _see_ is related to the Doppler effect, and what you described is accurate. HOWEVER, differential aging still occurs in this example because there is an asymmetry in reference frames: Those on Earth remain in the same reference frame throughout your journey, but you must turn around to return, meaning you leave your initial inertial reference frame and move to a new one. If you draw the spacetime diagram, it is clear why they will have aged more than you.

You also have to remember (and this is a good way to keep this in mind) no matter what reference from you're in, or how fast you're going, or what ELSE you're looking at, the light literally binding your molecules together has to move at the speed of light, period. Flying into an arbitrary light source doesn't negate the time dilation they must experience in order to bind your very cells together.

This is because the brain's visual system is contralateral, meaning that each hemisphere of the brain processes visual information from the opposite visual field. Therefore, when you move your eyes to the right, the left hemisphere becomes more active in processing the visual input.

what does school have to do with it?

    • @MichaelMagill1990
      @MichaelMagill1990 Před 8 lety +23

I don't want to have a nature vs nurture debate, but generally the word "bright" implies some form of talent. The world needs people who are interested in learning. That's all. Genius and talent are unproven, and there are many reasons why the typical person believes in genius and talent, and these reasons are generally shallow. I could write you a paper long explanation, or you could go do some research and figure it out for yourself. Talent and genius have been assumptions that have long been untested and unproven. What we need is more people who are interested in learning. Basically, the world needs better parents. Talent is an ideology that can statistically lead a person to choosing an easier path out of fear or a lack of confidence. In this way, teaching the talent ideology is also potentially harmful to children. It can also be beneficial, as those who have a high confidence level (those who believe themselves to be geniuses) generally perform better on tests etc.
      For example,
"If a child does well on a crossword puzzle, which would be the best response:
      a. You're so smart!
      b. You worked so hard!
      c. How did you do that?
If you, like many parents and teachers, believe that positive reinforcement is the best way to teach and empower a child to succeed, then it might make sense to choose any of the three answers just suggested. In fact, 85 percent of American Parents think it's important to tell their kids that they're smart. However, recent studies have shown that it is too simplistic to assume that all praise produces the same results."
Remember that the word "smart" implies talent--an innate gift of intelligence.
"Stanford University psychologist Carol Dweck attempted to address this question through a series of experiments in which a group of fifth-grade students were asked to complete an easy puzzle. All completed the puzzle successfully. A randomly selected half of the students were told "you must be smart at this," while the other half were told "you must have worked really hard." The children then had the opportunity to choose another puzzle--either one that was easy, or another one from which they were told they would "learn a lot." Fully 90 percent of those who were told they were smart chose the easy puzzle, while the majority of those who were praised for their effort opted for the more challenging puzzle. Dweck concluded that when children are told they're smart, they're afraid to make mistakes, for fear of no longer looking smart."
Confidence, interest level, depth of understanding, access to mentors, good personal health, time available to build your skills etc. These matter more than talent, and are often things people with said "talents" have.
"Mozart is often used as an example of innate talent. But he was born to a father that not only composed for a living, he also taught music. Mozart was drilled from a very young age by a father who was obsessed with seeing his son succeed. Mozart’s early compositions, often touted as evidence of his incredible precocity and talent, were certainly not great symphonies and were very likely edited and revised by his more experienced father. He didn’t compose the beautiful work we know him for now until he was a young adult, by which time he’d already put in thousands upon thousands of hours of controlled practice."
"It is difficult to prove the existence of innate talent because doing so requires disentangling nature from nurture."
Often people mistake correlations for cause-and-effect relationships in statistics and report them as undeniable evidence that something exists. That's basically tantamount to saying genius exists because Einstein exists, and I'm not Einstein so it must be true. Referring to these bits of information as evidence that something does or does not exist is pointless, because all they are is assumptions, taken on faith without any form of concrete evidence.
Why I said confidence etc, matter more than talent is because they do. They are proven to matter in the context of learning and skill-building. Though, there are certain biological factors that do impact such things (such as with a football player's physique or autism, schizophrenia etc), right now there is no reason to believe that any typical, healthy, individual is incapable of developing a certain skill-set, though there are several things that can harm or enhance your progress (as noted above, health, living environment, confidence--which is a socially constructed trait that plays an enormous role in learning and intelligence, etc).
I didn't want to write a page, now I'm running out of room.

Movement is a basis of reference. Got it.
Time is a reference of movement. We measured movement that is relatively constant and divided the instances of movement into our perspective of time.
Time is then a reference of sequenced movement.
Repeated cycles are the creators of time.
Wow, so the Doppler effect... Never thought about that. But the Doppler affect wouldn't allow for time travel would it?
