If you were using the top stitching method then you could flip it over and have an under stitch as well (in another colour?) And have a cool double layer effect
You should do the tulle on a picture frame to add little embroider details to a picture. Like either some fun little things or like a thick outline of the main image or something. Or if it’s like people in front of a mountain you could do some satin stitch mountains. Idk just an idea
Tip for avoiding pencil lines: Use an erasable marker (like a pilot frixion pen), after finishing you can simply remove the marks by steaming it lightly with an iron because the paint in the marker reacts to heat. I am studying to become a seamstress and we only use this type of markers :)

Yessss! I embroider and have to use water soluable film or paper on mesh fabrics. Unless I want to do tambour embroidery. Interested to see a full tutorial on this. As there are non.
You should check out solvy, it's a water soluble plastic like material, but you can run it through a sewing machine and embroider with it. As long as all the threads are properly attached to each other, you can basically sew your own piece of lace. I worked with it a bunch in undergrad, and I think you'd really like it.
I've seen many people using embroidery hoops as frames but getting one for every single thing I do is really expensive for me :( is there any other thing I can use/make to frame them?
I've done one where I glued two wooden dowels to the top and bottom and hung it like a scroll! it was on an off-white canvas fabric so it kinda looked like paper, but i bet it could look cool with any fabric! the dowels were like 30 cents each
I was at a garden store here in the Netherlands yesterday that also has interior decorations and saw they had picture frames that are transparent. So the backing is transparent, but the frames are wooden. They looked nice and I think they’d work for this really well. I’m sure they sell these all over the world, at least hopefully they do. Because it’s cool. But I also truly like the dowel idea. Even cheaper. And easily accessible.

dollar store picture frames might work. you could take the glass out and figure out a way to just attach them to the back of the frame
If you sew back up into your previous stitches you can use tension as opposed to knots - makes it a lot neater :)
