    This came out so pretty! Whenever I do French knots it untangles when I go to pull it through. Does anyone have any tips to keep it from unknotting? It just makes kind of a single regular stitch but it takes longer and makes me nuts 😅

    • @firegodessreiko
      @firegodessreiko Před 3 lety +16

      Pay attention to what direction you're wrapping the thread around the needle for one, and don't have too long a thread for it to convince itself to unravel while you pull the thread through. Also, make absolutely certain you're not going back through the fabric where you needle came through. That's the most common things I can think of. I'd have to physically see it to know for sure where the issue is. X3 Hope I've helped at least a little.

      @@dancerchickk you have to keep tension on the string while you pull it through as well. It took me a little while to get it right consistently but keep practicing and you'll get there =)

      You can use regular sewing threads. It might have a slightly different texture and thickness, but it is completely usable. As for the hoop, you can embroider without one just fine (maybe not on tulle though, it's quite finicky) or you can try some DIY versions made with big yoghurt/other containers lids :) I have been doing some kind of embroidery on and off since I was a little kid. So yeah, just to say that sometimes you make do with what you have on hand and it works :)
