Phish
October 20, 1998
Sessions at West 54th, New York, NY
Sleep#, Frankie Says, Ghost, Roggae, Guyute, Wading in the Velvet Sea, Driver#, Albuquerque*, Birds of a Feather, Piper, Taste**
Played for "Sessions at West 54th," a PBS series hosted by David Byrne (of Talking Heads). "Birds," "Ghost," and "Taste" were broadcast January 9, 1999 on the program, in addition to interviews with the band about fan taping and the Halloween musical costumes. #Acoustic. *Played (acoustic) while tapes were being changed; was not taped. **Quasi-encore: Phish had finished their written setlist (though skipping "The Moma Dance," which was on the list given to the cameramen) and had some time left ("Ghost" was only 10 minutes long). After a flood of audience requests (including many for Byrne to sit in), Trey said, "Okay, let's just play Taste," at Page's suggestion. - Hudba
woke up in the middle of the night with the song in my head. what a classic
I often am playing this in my head after waking up and I always am happy when it happens
When I get bored with music, Phish is one of those bands that I return to. This is a good example, great rotation! This sounds simple but is far from it. The true strength of Phish is the ability of all members to listen to each other at the same time. I love how at the end you can see the abrieviation of a long jam with a few well placed cues.
If life we're easy and not so fast... I would'nt think about the past!... So many shows, so many goodtimes! Thanx PHISH
This song is incredible through a good pair of headphones
simple yet beautiful, I love playing this on my guitar. set the loop with the simple riff and go off for hours! love love love
I love this jam.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ah when page comes in..chills !
I remember hearing roggae for the first time live, it was very dreamy and surreal.
I think they would've thrown me out if I was sitting there. Its something about Phish that makes you wanna get up and jump on the good foot
this is a great performance of a great song
Im only 30 so didnt hit my first show till 2003 and i thought tht was the greatest shit on this earth then some phriends hooked me up with some 97 98 shows and damn that shit was nuts, but the boys have really been gettin back into the groove tha last few summers
2003 is an underrated year in my opinion. Many people are only now starting to see them

Sounds like all your words need a # in front of them 😇
I don’t completely understand but I like it!
The drummer’s dress must’ve been at the dry cleaners.
voices are horrible
Not easy to do live.
It’s only your simple and self important opinion. Move along sir. We like them. Enjoy being that dude…
@@cmhardin37like this person would know. They’re just an internet troll who cannot appreciate the talent it takes to play this live. I’d enjoy watching this troll attempt any of these notes by any of the instruments or the vocals he believes are awful. I like how so many have such brave convictions and opinions on the internet. Move along dousche.
Your opinion doesn’t matter whatsoever. You’re on an internet video comment section tough guy. Go listen to the music you like and don’t listen to these guys. These guys have thrived as a touring band about as good as any band could possibly do. You won’t be missed or remembered
Mr.SenorMorales opinions on music mean less than nothing. It must be awful to be that miserable. I’m giving you what you want though. You wanted a rise out of a Phish fan and I fell for it. Oh well. We love them and that’s all that matters. Not your insignificant and well thought out opinion
