    This guy is making big changes in boxing.....I think youll see lots of fighters from now on become better at employing angles and footwork especially in lomas style. We've seen the use of the pull down/seige hook used by several fighters already......its amazing how much of a buzz loma is creating with his style and techniques.

      Lomachenko is right handed but he leads in Southpaw style since he wants his power hand to be his jab hand. If you are a fan, you might consider switching to orthodox.

    Great video, love the music! Yea Lomo really understands contact reflexes. And check and counter. He’s feeding off of reactions from his opponents, by causing them to throw punches he’s 90% ready to counter. Lot of guys are going to start using this.., if they understand it? Good mix of old school and new age combat.

    Similar to Iron Mike, Lomachenko is an intelligent fighter who is thinking (albeit very quickly!) in the ring. Bravo! Thanks for posting this vid.

      @russjames7029  Před 6 lety

      "All the time he's boxing, he's thinking. All the time he was thinking, I was hitting him." No time for thinking in the ring. All thinking is done in the gym. Once you step in the ring it's just seeing, sensing, and reacting. Loma and Tyson got to the point where their thinking wasn't "very fast", but instantaneous. Which isn't "thinking" anymore, it's just seeing, sensing, and reacting.

    I Love it, Hand Trapping or Parrying (similar but different as in a Hand Trap you grab the wrist, at least in MMA or a Self Defense Situation) concept I learned from my 1st Karate instructor along with working angles (thats why there are 45% angles in Kata) ... I Love the similarity and execution .... I was commenting to someone about Hand trapping and how it is a "Karate" thing then they sent me this Video, its awesome I love it .... for the Boxing people that says Karate does not work many in MMA now use Karate Style (Conor McGregor) or both Karate style striking and Boxing Robert Whittaker or Isreal Adysanna as example

    In wing chin/ Jkd the glove swipe is call lop sau or grapping hand. It is a old movement executed at 45 degree angle. For some reason he using very basic soft version of the movement. This skill advanced and foreign to boxing but is part of the basics to wing chun/Jkd. Just goes to show all the arts of have a connection. 😀

    Nice how you focus on one aspect at a time and follow up with examples. Good work.
    If Loma could hit like GGG or Beterbiev, his fights wouldn't last long enough for the opponent to quit. Man, 3 retirements in a row. That's insane. And how he mastered Gary Russel Jr., Loma is for real.
    Salido was an over-the-weight, cheating bum, who had help in the ring from the referee. That fight should have been off the record when Salido came in heavy by two weight classes. Salido should also have lost on foul points. If you can take the title off the table, you should be able to take your record off the table. That's a bogus loss no matter how you look at it. Weight limits are for a reason.

    Ok so i know that vasyl is southpaw fighter but that punch at 1:40, the straight right hand.. i didnt know until now.. but seeing that punch.. that was with his lead hand?.. it looked more like a cross, i couldnt imagine throwing a cross like that with my weak hand aka my lead hand, as i rarely throw crosses with my lead hand so it would feel a bit awkward, but he threw it naturally.. its not even how his feet is positioned, its the way he threw it it came out like a cross, but with the lead hand.. and after seeing that i couldnt help but wonder, is vasyl lomachenko really a right handed fighting in south paw stance?.. i looked it up on google and he is indeed right hand dominant, but chooses to fight with his right hand and right foot in the front, and since thats the case then i understand now why his jab game is soo ridiculously good, and he can throw his lead hand like a cross or a jab, and since his right hand is dominant his jabs are a lot more effective.. that is very interesting.. that also explains why he doesnt pack as much power.. but continuously outscores his opponents..

    Most fighters pore over video trying to gain an insight into their opponents"style", but Here you detail out in MINISCULE PIECES every thing he does to be successful, again, seems UNFAIR ❗❗❗IMHO. THANK YOU FOR READING THE COMMENT!!
