- Bill Simmons took his legacy as ESPN’s ‘Sports Guy’ to the next level by launching Grantland.com. As fans of Simmons' work Powerhouse Animation was excited to partner with the Grantland team on their newest venture-the B.S. Report’s Animated Archives. We can’t say enough about how much we’ve loved working with David Jacoby and the rest of the Grantland’ers on this project and we really hope you enjoy the fruits of our collaboration. We are big fans of Bill Simmons and were excited about Grantland, so when ESPN called and asked us to help concept design and create a new series of web animated shorts for the site, we were thrilled. David Jacoby, producer at Grantland, wanted each of the Animated Archives & Jalen Rose Story Time pieces to have a unique and different art style. This has been a lot of fun for our character designers and animators to explore different animation techniques and concept design styles. It has also been great to animate stories told by some amazing guests including Arnold Schwartznegger, Jeff Ross, and Jalen Rose.
Powerhouse Animation created several styles and concepts for each of the spots, here are some of the examples.

Manuela is mixed...her white side of the fam may have been there, but she looks black/italian. Married to Eric Benet. Funny story: Benet thought he was going to take her to his studio and show off, then found out her ex husband was Prince. His exact words..."Damn...I ain't shit."

Prince was never married to a blonde Candian woman. All His wives were women of color-biracial or Latin American with very dark hair. Many Canadians like Manuela have ethnic organs from other countries Manuela. Manuela Testolini was a darker complexion than Prince and Mayte. Her mother is from Africa.
Neal is awesome! I'll never forget watching him perform stand up in a small dive in Brooklyn. Absolutely genius. Great story!!!

MeSteven2945 When i would attend Paisley Park and attend Prince parties at 2 AM before show time he would sit up on the balcony of the rafters with shades and just watch. He liked surprising people esp other celebrities, He also loved to play jokes He would leave to rooms without saying goodbye often so by the time you noticed he gone he had already left kinda making it like an illusion.

Prince was never married to any white woman. Both of his wives were women of color; the first was Puerto Rican, and the second one a brown.skinned Egytian girl from Canada. He dated plenty of white women (including Kim Bassinger and Susannah Melvoin), but the two women he married were not.
