You must book the train ticket via app from your mobile phone. And after book and paid, then you must print the ticket at the station. If just coming to the station to buy the ticket, you are gambling. Mostly you will be dissapointed, but that day is your lucky day for you.

If you feel homeless while you didn’t get the train ticket, my recommendation is to try the transit hotel inside the station, and also there’s shower room, named shower & locker and I think of course it’s on the same floor as the hotel that I’ve specifically mentioned you before. Wish you stay safe and enjoy your vacation in Indonesia 🇮🇩

FYI : guys, melanie ini dari Amrik, dan amrik itu jarang ada kereta antar kota begini, yg ada disana Subway/Comuterline kaya kita dan itu bisa On the spot tiketnya jadi dia gatau dia pikir itu kaya Subway di Amerika. Kebayangkan ke stasiun mau ngapain gada tiket, sedangkan kita udah sistem booking aplikasi semua.
actually if you make an order and check in a ticket counter only by showing a photo of your passport that is something forbidden, that is not justified and does not apply to passengers, moreover you are a foreign tourist, it is very vulnerable and dangerous if you travel without carrying the original physical passport document. luckily you meet the officer who is a little loose and friendly so she/he doesn't ask your real passport, because if you just show a passport with a photo it is very vulnerable to document and identity forgery. so you shouldn't be able to do that for checking in train tickets, hotels, and flights.

@@MelanieGuintu the ticket you got was most likely from someone who canceled at the last minute. it's always gambling to purchase a ticket on the spot and on the same day. we Indonesians never do that, we always book the ticket online days before departure. you were lucky there was someone who canceled their ticket but make sure you book the ticket online next time you ride the train.

Next time you go travel with train in Indonesia try to book it at least a day before departure in KAI Acces app or Traveloka buying ticket on the locket it's not recommended we don't do that here it's a rare thing because the ticket always sold out the same day you'll depart.

Trains are full around weekends.....there are likely empty seats between Tuesday and Thursday, if you book at the same day.
