Fantastic just signed up to learn Thai and Lao languages
Just wanted to say I recently discovered your channel and I am making my way through them daily! you have helped me so much because watching your beautiful Thailand footage made me realise how much I miss travelling, and after a long time being very sad I am going back to Thailand to help heal myself. Sorry you have been feeling down, I hope you find your thing in 2023 that will make your heart sing and give you peace of mind. I think you are fabulous, I am certain you can achieve anything you set your mind to.❤
@@davidhodgson8741 - Interesting, I thought they didn't have Thai on there anymore.......🇹🇭
The theme of not having many friends, being lonely, and the effort to maintain the façade of "happiness" are a subtle, yet recurring theme in your work. I honor you in recognizing and acknowledging this and being kind of candid about it. Every time I hear this, I admit that I am surprised, but it does make sense, being the nomad that you are. I look at you and think "what a great pal he'd be". Looking a little deeper, it does seem to be a fine line of sanity that you walk upon, and the balance is like an over packed motorcycle, the tumble is just waiting to happen the moment you loose concentration. Knock on wood, but imagine you were in the jungles of the Philippines with a broken bike, and, gods forbid, you got a "dear john" letter from your significant other. I fear that would ruin you for months.
I feel that for >you
The most powerful people have little friends
@@jamieharrison3962 they may also not last very long. Think Robin Williams and Anthony Bordein....
Honestly, I don't know how you maintain this crazy travel schedule long term and not lose your sanity in the process. I understand it's his job, but there have to be other creative ways to stay close to home and still make videos, and he's addressed that a bit here. But not everyone wants to be on CZcams, especially not on a popular channel. Friendships need to be worked on continuously and the camera needs to stay in the background. Just my thoughts. I love the idea of being able to travel all over the place, but I could never do what Paddy does. It's got to be exhausting, mentally and physically.
Thanks Mark 😊 a lot of great ideas and advice
I couldn’t travel alone ..I’d want to share all of it with my gf..I’d be tooooo lonely.
Whatever you do, wherever you go, we support you. Most important is you and your well being. Thank you for the great content and being real. Looking forward to 2023.
Paddy, thank you. Facing the challenge of "being" is one that many don't discuss at all. My wife and I watched a foreign movie/ possibly Swedish, where the big thing to do in town on the weekend, was to sit in the town square, and toss a pebble at a post/ or centerpiece of some sort/ and wait to see who gets on or off the bus. Just "being" is a thing to embrace in life/ and your adventures are part of your life. **you never always have to continue on the current path, so, no pressure to 200k subscribers (or one million) there are always multiple paths in your future choices. Relax, be yourself, and embrace the path of life. ((just one of those IMHO/ posts, but posted in good spirits)
Indonesia Paddy!! Such an undertravelled country. Sumatra, Java, Bali, Lombok, Borneo, Sulawesi, Papua. Would be a crazy adventure!
The Gilli islands also. 👍
Indo what a joke you find aussies everywhere even in zumba
@@DanishBacon555 I agree, Gilli's are pure paradise. Will have to leave the motorbike in Bali or Lombok. LOL
Yep. Raja Ampat is amazing.
Yep, so much to see in Indonesia. 30 days travel Visa is even enough since he might want to fly back to Miss P from time to time.
If you're planning on going New Zealand, we would HIGHLY recommend getting a campervan. THE COUNTRY IS BUILT FOR IT.
We spent 6 weeks living in a van in NZ during their spring last year and it is the best thing ever, we mostly spent our nights at their free campsites so that cuts costs by loads. To visit the best spots in the country, you need a car. Transport is either not available or quite expensive. Same can be said for Ireland and Iceland. Love the channel! Here's to another great year for you Paddy and we're sorry to hear about your grandmother
He said he doesn't drive ...
@@jasonedwards6870 I understand that but you can always try find someone to travel with that drives. New Zealanders are extremely friendly people and its quite common for some travelers finding someone else in Facebook groups, etc, to share a campervan with
@@simplyofftrack fair enough. Yes kiwi's r friendly for sure
Happy New Year, Paddy! Very sorry to hear about Grandma 🙏🙏. Please don't change your format too much. You have a real talent of making your viewers feel as if they are being given a one on one update on your travels, just as if we are all good friends. You tell us both the good and the bad and just enough about how you are feeling. Keep it up and maybe choose your next trip with a map and a dart from 10 metres! 😊😊
Where ever you go we will be watching ! Wishing you the very Best in 2023 🤗
Loved sitting down with you and hearing all your thoughts and reflections about what you want for yourself and the channel for the coming year. Yes… definitely do more of this style; livestreams, podcasts etc! Wishing you all the very best for 2023 Paddy!
I've been in a bit of a rut for a while and finding it hard to get motivated. This video actually made me feel inspired again. Thanks Paddy and good luck to you on your 2023 journey - exciting stuff
Thank you so much Paddy for letting us into your life and love your encouragement to something out of your comfort zone. Can’t wait for the year’s adventures x
You are an inspiration Paddy to all of us that watch your channel. It was inspiring to see what you experienced during your adventure to Vietnam and Cambodia. I am pleased that you spent time with your family and Gran before she passed, as well as with Ms P. You shared it all with us. The highs as well as the lows of travelling solo. That is what makes you so special. Much respect Paddy. Can't wait to see what is planned for 2023
I have just accidentally bumped into your videos while watching my fav ones but what drawn me was your honesty. This video really shows your true nature. Keep it up and keep smiling . Great content!
You are an inspiration to a lot of us Paddy, and you being so candid makes me have a connection with you even more. I'm just about to go on my Vietnam adventure in 2 months (going backwards to your journey) and I've watched it probably about 10 times from start to finish.
You really just seem like the best bloke. You really make your viewers feel like we are your best mates, and I really appreciate that.
I'd say come to Australia but... yeah. Bit of an undertaking. haha
I enjoy your content as so many do, Paddy. Wherever you go or want to do you will always have a loyal base that enjoys hanging out with you during your adventures. You are doing a great job and I hope your channel has continued success and you fulfill your goals.
Thanks for being real and candid with us Paddy. Your videos were an inspiration for my Vietnam Thailand trip in 2022 and I can’t wait to see where we go in 2023! Keep at it and safe travels friend!
I found this video inspiring. Taking such a thoughtful, deliberate approach to planning, goal setting, really setting the spiritual intentions of your future was a great reminder for me. I also appreciated your self-disclosure and how you showed your kindness, caring, sweetness. Really great stuff. Made me want to be more clear about my goals and intentions.
I was an early adopter and was with your channel from the beginning. I don't watch as much now because I'm working more than full time, but I check in regularly and will never unsubscribe. You're doing something unique, Paddy, and it really does elevate your channel above the masses. Keep it up and know you have lots and lots of ardent supporters.
Love the candid and open nature of you in this video. Thanks for your honesty and vulnerability. You got this!!!!
Hi Paddy, love your content, have just got back from eight weeks away, Spain, England, Vietnam and Thailand. It was great to go to a few of the places you had been. Lunch in a birds nest in Pattaya was hilarious. Somewhere I never would have gone without your hot tip! I moved to New Zealand 15 years ago and can the relate to the 'Lack of friends' you are experiencing. Time in one place will help with that for sure. Moving countries is not easy, something I think a lot of people go through, so chin up and well done for recognising it in yourself.
My top tip for New Zealand would be come here twice. Once for the North Island and again for the South Island, although I know it's a long way! January and February are the months to come for good weather, although that isn't a guarantee, it's not the land of the long white cloud for nothing! Take care :)
Thanks for sharing Paddy and good luck hitting your goals and so sorry for your loss.
Thank you Paddy. Currently bopping around Southeast Asia and some of your vids assisted greatly in adding or subtracting places from my itinerary. Wish you all the best in 2023! Take care of yourself sir 🙏
Hi Paddy!
I discovered your channel last year as i was trying to satisfy my longing for travelling again. I really enjoyed many of your videos, keep up the great work!
As for content in 2023 - i would not underestimate the sheer amount of people obsessed with japan and japanese culture at the moment! Due to the country being closed off for so long it became even more special and so many people cant wait to go there as soon as possible! Japan content is booming on YT, especially for younger people who are on social Media all the time, so a great opportunity to get noticed and introduced to a new audience IMO!
Good luck and have a great 2023! :)
Also - i think a "mini documentary" on the cannabis situation in thailand could probably bring many new eyes to the channel as well, since many young people are interested in this and therefore also interested in visiting thailand... and they might as well stay on your channel as you have the most and probably best information in your older videos to prepare for the trip!
Wow, I loved your honesty and where you want to take your channel. Thanks for sharing.😊
Exciting Paddy, thanks for sharing 👍
Looks like 2023 is going to be very good to watch! I can’t wait for you to get started
Good luck and safe travels
Hi Paddy, really enjoyed this Vlog. You have a great personality, and I personally would, and do watch all of your content. Your a very genuine person, and that shines through in your Vlogs. Any content you put out is the highlight of a day for me. High or low, I’ll be there with you. Thank you for making 2022 more tolerant for me.👍🏻
Hola Paddy, good to see you proactively thinking about 2023!! You really got some aggressive goals for yourself business wise and personal goals however, we believe in you. You got this Paddy👍. I love your choices of countries and, I love the possibility of you not riding your motorbike would be some awesome content. Sending you positive vibes for 2023 and much success. Todd and I will be here with you enjoying your journey 😀.
Goddamn it Paddy you're so authentic. I began watching you when I was planning my trip to Thailand but I still find myself visiting and watching your videos due to your personality. Love it
❤ Paddy Love you what a great time Tammy and I had last nite meeting you. 🇨🇦
Paddy, I love your content. The best things in life are right here in front of us. Travel, friendship’s people, nature, experiences, motorcycles. Don’t get down. Loneliness is a part of travelling solo and happiness is fleeting for all of us. Keep doing what you love You will never forget the time and the memories you have made for yourself ( and for us viewers ). Please continue 👍 I can’t wait to see your stand up 😂 Don’t change my man
Thank you Paddy ! Wishing you a happy and amazing 2023 ❤
Thanks Loren
Canada in the winter - absolutely a must - YES! Yukon, dog sledding, ice fishing and Yukon Rendezvous - just stunning anytime of the year! British Columbia would take your breath away ... the West Coast, do storm watching on Vancouver Island. Quebec!! Oh my gosh, go to a hockey game. Canada is an incredibly stunning, diverse, huge country and brilliant to visit anytime of the year not just the summer ... and, Canadians are so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend not just in the summer!!!
Really love your videos Paddy
Hey Paddy, I've been coming to Thailand and living here for over 30 plus years total...and I basically follow only your travel videos. Especially loved your adventures in Laos, I've been there many times, it is a hidden treasure in many aspects. One extra about Laos is that you can speak Thai to everybody and have a lot more fun.
Keep up the good work, mate.
Love the candid conversation. I also really like the idea of occasional live streams as a teaser. I’m excited for the next year!! You’ve got some really terrific ideas and goals. I’ll be watching every video brother! Peace and love Paddy!
Thanks mate 😊
Loved all your u-tube videos and like you absolutely love the far east and all it’s delights , just got back from 3 weeks in Thailand 🇹🇭 and thanks for so many recommendations.
Be happy and will look forward to the next travel adventure wherever that might be 🎉
I was so excited to hear you are considering New Zealand to visit. Looking forward to following all your adventures this year, your videos really bring each place you visit to life.
Great catch-up. Sorry for the loss of your grandmother, but glad you got to spend time with the family. Last years videos were all amazing! Thank you. Looking forward to the exciting things to come!
NZ on a motorbike would be perfect for you Paddy, very little traffic, beautiful roads, and stunning scenery wherever you are. I drove past stunning beaches, incredible rainforests and a huge glacier within a few hours of the day. My favorite country, by far. I was there in the months of Jan / Feb and both islands were extremely pleasant, weather wise. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
We love watching you Paddy, so authentic and honest. Massive SE Asia fans.
Thank you so much for the update. So many of us feel like we truly know you do to your style of filming and story telling. No matter where you go, I will continue to watch your videos. The idea of you going to Ireland and Iceland is exciting! Would love to see you telling the stories of these wonderful and beautiful countries!
Love your work Paddy! I look forward to see where you go this year…
I think it’s amazing what you do. I’ve been to Thailand twice and did go to Indonesia while I was over there. I really do love Thailand and would like to spend an extended period of time there. And I really relate to those personal goals as well as far as needing to be healthier and feeling quite “blah”.. so, coming to your channel and have watched you for a long time, this video is inspiring to me and I can’t wait to see where your journey takes you.
Good luck Paddy. Wish you the best in the year to come. I hope to see you go to Korea!
Good luck with 2023. A lot of love ❤️
Thanks 🙏
Thanks for sharing your plans and thoughts, it all sounds great specially your plans for health and happiness. Enjoy your rest and good luck for all your planning.
Happy new year Paddy. Looking forward to your new travel plan.
Great analysis paddy and I think you are correct about creative content yourself and your channel in general 👍 look forwards to more next level ❤
Nepal is AMAZING! April or October/November (especially during Tihar Festival) would be awsome. I'm just about to start a 5 month trip to SEA and I fell in love with your videos. You're so authentic and we really get the vibe of the places you visit. Thanks for sharing them, it will be a pleasure to follow your adventures wherever you go! Be happy! ☺️
I am looking forward to a great year ahead 👍You are your harshest critic! This can be a good thing - and a bad thing! Keep strong - and take care of yourself.😊
Looking forward to seeing what’s in store for your channel this year. Would love to see a blooper reel at the end of your videos as well. I’ve seen a few CZcamsrs do it recently and it adds a nice touch to the video. Keep up the good work 👌🏻
All these countries sound fabulous. I would watch any of them. I like watching travel on you tube as a whole and opens my horizons on so many places. ❤️ 🌎
Well done Paddy.
I like how you are honest with us and most importantly, honest with yourself. I share your enthusiasm with adventure and enjoying life. Grab it by both horns and hold on for you are a better person than you give yourself credit for.
I am so looking forward to following your adventure wherever it may lead, as I have for the last 2 years.
Follow your dreams Paddy, for you never know what"s around the corner.
I am 62 and just getting over prostate cancer, chemo and hormone therapy. This has obviously slowed me down, but I still want to live. Just last week I started learning the guitar. I know it is a long challenging road ahead, but hey.....life is not a dress rehearsal, you don't get to do it over again if you stuff it up the first time.
Take care Paddy and above all....Have Fun!
Cheers....Rob.
New Zealander here. Paddy, you WANT to come to NZ in the winter! The best time is late winter/early spring (September-October). Why? Because the scenery looks the best at this time of year! The mountains still have snow on them, the grass on the hills is lush and green, and the flowers are beginning to bloom. The summer months (December- February) are peak tourist season, so all of the popular places will be packed with other tourists. Also, NZ often experiences draught over summer, which can cause the grassy hills to look brown and dead, not so great for your epic drone shots. The only reason to travel NZ in the summer is so that you can go to the beaches, but NZ beaches have nothing on Thailand, so I expect you will be disappointed if try to come here to make that sort of content. Happy to help if you want any more info on NZ. Cheers for all of the great content so far! :)
Love to hear that 😊
I love your channel 😍. It was your lost in Laos series that has got me hooked to all your videos. I will be going to Vietnam Cambodia and laos in June! Your videos have gotten me pumped!
Wow! Sounds like a LOT of very busy days. Don’t forget to have fun.
The videos in Laos were amazing, It's just not as popular as Thailand or Vietnam . . But it opened my eyes to a stunningly beautiful country, so much, I almost want you to go back! It reminds me of how I would imagine Thailand was 40 years ago. Keep up the great work! As I am living vicariously through you, being unable to re visit my beloved Thailand due to cancer and therefore very low income, you allow me to dream again of beautiful times gone past. So a massive thank you to you, keep going and never doubt yourself . . . You've got this !
Being following you the day you took the train to the south of Thailand till Today hope you achieve all your plans and find your happiness in life , Happy New Year 2023
Follow your heart 💜 go where you want to. Sorry about your loss. Look after you, your needs and most importantly your dreams.
loved the behind the scenes of growing a channel! more of this please!
Enjoyed your honesty and good to look at yourself (me) and set goals!
Awesome reactions....really true.....happy to see you already from the philippines
I've travelled quite extensively Paddy and I can say hand on heart Iceland was incredible.
Cool! Go for it. I support your decision.
Omg I click in your vlog and I was hooked crazy. Thank you so much I am Pilipino leaving abroad for almost 40 years. Really appreciate sharing all the beautiful scenery’s. Dang what a good life. Just follow your instinct always and be careful.
Great video!
Paddy, thanks for a peek behind the curtain! I would love to see you hike to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. But I'll watch you wherever you go. Have an amazing 2023! Onward and upward!
Japan!! Paddy, please go to Japan. You can take trains everywhere there, so public transportation friendly, and its like going to another planet. Well, my husband is Japanese and we go there often but I still feel like its so diverse and unknown. Good luck! Im sure we will enjoy whatever country you choose !
It's certainly on my list 🙂
Omg Phillipines and Indo are INCRED! Loved Malaysia to. Enjoy Paddy👏🏾
Excellent excellent Paddy! 👏🏻👍🏻😃🙏🏻🥳
Feel you just need time to set aside for you along the way. You got this! You are an inspiration for me for sure! If any one of us needed more than one hand to count true friends in a whole lifetime, then we’d be either delusional or very blessed indeed.
Paddy, I'm happy to see how much your channel has grown. I loved your podcast with Jay. Congrats on pursuing your dream. I hope you go to Indonesia. My mother is from Djember / Malang, Java but I've never been there. Would love to see the country through your eyes.
I found your channel through Ryans channel and loved that episode, I have to say I love your content and having lived in the Philippines for a number of year I say to everyone, it's a must visit place. Would love to follow your journey there, and thank you so much for making me smile when I view your videos.
Started watching you 2022... you are amazing 🤩 I have only travelled around Northern Thailand for 7 days & exhausted seeing all the sights😅 How you travelled on a motorcycle filming your adventures amazes me.... need an Oscar mate 🏆 Looking forward to your 2023 adventures but please take time out & relax 🤙 We will all wait for you 😘
I’m just stopping in Chaing Dao thanks to your recommendation, catching a beautiful sunset over Doi Luang Chaing Dao. You already have a really impressive amount of content, a true inspiration for me, so anything further that comes is a huge bonus. Take care of yourself yeah!
Looking forward to the Cambodia trip. May 2023 be a great year for you.
Good stuff Paddy ✌️
Hello Paddy, I lived in the Philippines for 11 yrs. Some fabulous places to visit and you would surely enjoy it. Well done, great video's and keep on keeping on.
Excited
Sorry to hear about your grandma Paddy. I bet she was proud of you, you're a good bloke.
Been watching for awhile and I’m officially subscribed! You’re doing great! I’ll be in Thailand for a few day this summer for work, and plan to stay in the area for 2-3 weeks after to check out SE Asia. Your summary videos for Laos and Vietnam were great info, and I’ve been watching your Thailand stuff whenever I have free time in preparation for my stay there. I’ll be sure to grab your e-book before I go. The consultant in me say pick 2 countries to to explore that will grow your channel, and 1 country that will be just about you to recharge your battery so to speak. Your how to series will be a fun project for you and I’ll send it to my nephew when it’s out. A lot of work, but another source of passive income when done. See you in the next video! Cheers!
Would love to see Paddy do the Mid West of America, old route 66, diners, driving in a car and your videos are such good quality. The Americans would love you too!
I’m from New Zealand and hope you come to check it out! In the height of summer during Jan and Feb is a great time to come as is winter if you’re keen on checking out a place like Queenstown 🤗 hopefully we’ll see you about on your travels here if you do come - my partner and I are such big fans of your channel! ❤
Sending my condolences for the sad loss of your grandmother. 🙏
The Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal checks all of your boxes Paddy. Lots of exercise, a difficult and scary pass at over 5,400 meters, lots of social interaction with many nationalities, and the most stunning scenery in the world. Totally different pace than motorcycle touring. Best times are April to May and October to November. Easy and cheap to hire a porter to carry all your gear. Nearby Pokhara makes a great base afterwards.
Peru is amazing! I've been all throughout the country and Machu Picchu multiple times. I recommend hiking the Salkantay Trail. Keep up the amazing work!
I think exploring another region of the world will def bring a fresh, new pace to the channel for sure. Stoked to see African & Latin American countries on the list! Happy New Year, Paddy. Good luck on all your goals/plans!
Hope so!
I'm going to Vietnam and Cambodia in March and even though I'm going with a tour company I loved your series, especially the food content as it's really helped me look out for great things to try and have an idea of what to expect. Thank you.
Just do it. It will be amazing for us.
Wow. Love that you did a slide presentation! Never seen this from a CZcamsr and appreciate this ! Big vote for Indonesia
Haha thanks, I was worried it might be a little boring
Paddy Doyle, music to our ears. My hubby and I love you. South Aftica is the 14th country on your list and I must admit I got emotional when I saw our flag. Proudly saying Shev and Dev are from RSA. We stay in South Africa, province of Kwa Zulu Natal toen Hillcrest and we would love to host you. You are such an inspiration to us, I saw you 3 scary things please don’t edit your content. You are such a natural, funny and we love your humour. So happy to see that you are not just interested in where CZcams wants you to go but your instincts leads you. We are a beautiful country with a diversity, 11 languages and the friendliest people ever. Please join us you are so welcome. We don’t barbecue we Braai, I can’t wait to make you oxtail, sweet potato, bobotie, koekeisters and malva pudding and pannekoek uou call them crepes. Stay real as you are. You are loved. Grahan and Tersia
Ah thanks 😄
Thanks for your honesty! All of the places sound great that you mentioned! I lived in SK for four years and I'd highly suggest Seoul and Busan to visit (spring is a great time you can see many cherry blossoms). Canada would be incredible as that is where I live. Banff National park is a must see, but very expensive in summer which is the tourist season. We have buses and trains you can take if you don't drive. I look forward to your future travel adventures in 2023!
On to the next series, go Cambodia Mr. Doyle 🥳, cheers mate 🙌🍻
It is very realistic that you will reach the 300K next year even more. Your Chanel is excellent source for travelers and people who moving oversea.
Paddy's adventurers in learning to drive! Do it!
Hiya Paddy. So happy you went home and spent time with your family. I am so sorry to hear about your grandma. Great to give yourself goals. Great your guides are selling well. You work very hard. Good luck with the courses. Love your channel. And you have done amazing. Solo travel can be very lonely. Pushing yourself is good. As I have got older, I try less. Love the daily vlog idea. Love podcasts too. I only ever use my mobile. Your down to earth and real. Excited for your next adventures. Have a wonderful weekend.
thanks NICKY!
I’m sorry to hear about your grandma. Your channel is so interesting and novel-I don’t know of any other youtuber that combines so much of the behind the scenes process and travel vlogging.
I’d highly recommend Ecuador-it’s one of the most biodiverse countries on the planet. Amazon, Andes, and Ocean. And it is so underrated!
Ecuador has been on my radar for decades! I hope he chooses that one!
I was watching this video. And all pf a sudden I thought; kind of crazy that I've been watching you since Bali episode 1. I did find it only after the series was done, but all in all i've been watching you for about 6 or 7 years.
Crazy if you think about it. What's even more crazy is that I still haven't gone to Asia myself.
Shameful😳
Especially considering my grandmother was born in Indonesia and she wanted to take me, but then she passed away.
I was preparing to go backpacking this spring for a few months, and last month I got a new job, so now I have quite some gear and money to travel, yet now I have a new job, which obviously I want to pursue. I don't think I will go backpacking anymore. I am now thinking about 2 weeks of active vacation every year, instead of actually backpacking. Life sometimes surprises you and makes you wonder 'what if'. Sometimes you get opportunities that you want to pursue, ending in a roadsplit. If I choose to pursue this career, I will always regret not going backpacking long-term. If I choose backpacking, I will always regret not pursuing this one-in-a-million career opportunity.
Damn, I'm rambling on, going deep. Hahaha
R.I.P Grandma Ramsey, the highlight of the year was getting to see her for sure. The universe wanted you home to have a final goodbye ❤️. Excited for the next journey. Thank you for being honest and genuine. Thank you for sharing.
Ah thanks ♥️
Fall is a fantastic season for visiting Japan., plus it is such an amazing country and unique experience
Spring is glorious as well! Not even mentioning the sakura blossoming, something is always blossoming in Japan!:) lol
