The Carpuride W103 Pro is an impressive dashboard console that can transform your tech-less vehicle’s dashboard into a wireless multimedia centre to rival the likes of Tesla, BMW and Honda. BUT, it won’t come at the price of a new car, and is a very cheap hack to get you an impressive touchscreen.
The Carpuride W103 Pro features a quality 10.3 inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen which supports Android Auto and Apple Carplay, along with a number of other apps to make your driving experience that much more enjoyable. The screen has auto-brightness thanks to a sensor on the back and is very responsive to touch.
It benefits from built-in 5G WiFi and dual bluetooth 5.0, along with Apple’s Siri and Google’s Android voice control, thanks to its built-in microphone.
The W103 Pro infotainment system also has four ways to play music. From its built-in 5w speaker, from an AUX 3.5mm cable, from the FM transmitter app via your vehicle’s radio frequency and by your vehicle’s bluetooth connectivity.
There are ports for a micro-SD card and USB stick, so you can play music, videos and photos on the screen from external sources, and there is also a 2.5mm aux port to add a reversing camera, which can be purchased separately from Carpuride (link above).

Carpuride apps include an equaliser for your music, hands-free bluetooth calls, AirPlay for wireless mirroring of your apple device and AutoLink for a wired mirroring of your Apple or Android phone, which requires the downloading of a third-party app.
The device is powered by type-C input and a USB-C to 12v port cable is provided in the box, along with a AUX cable and two mounts. You can attach the infotainment console to your dashboard or window using the strong, adjustable suction cup mount, or use the more-permanent sticky pad mount.
Carpuride has a whole range of other dashboard consoles and accessories to suit all 12v-24v vehicles, set-ups and requirements.
Overall, it’s a great device which is a much cheaper way to add serious tech into your car, than buying a new vehicle!

This would be a good addition to a 2011-13 leaf which cant upgrade the maps but you cant take the headunit out without losing remote heating/charging functionality. Thanks for sharing.

Does Android auto start automatically when you turn on the car/power, or do you still have to select the Android auto icon on the unit each time you want to start android auto?
If you are listening to fm radio on van and someone calls does it switch to bluetooth call using device automatically?

Thanks for the great review. Is there a way where I can still use my vehicle’s mic for phone calls after installing the display and connecting it to CarPlay? My phone connects to my car via Bluetooth and the mic quality is super crisp. I don’t want to lose that.
Looking at the video introduction, Pro Bluetooth functionality is most likely via the device's microphone.

Hello. Are you able to pick a song on your phone from CZcams, just normal youtube vids, not youtube music or anything, and have the sound of the song come through car speakers? Or does the devise think your watching youtube and not work?
Hi, yes if you play CZcams on your phone whilst connected to the Carpuride device, then because you're connected to the car via bluetooth any sound will come through your car speakers. Tested it this morning :)
@@LensOfJames Thank you for testing! I don’t have any music apps so that’s how I listed to music usually. I like this unit. I noticed that portable devises like this one are very thin which is great, but I also see the built in aftermarket units look like boxes. Why on earth are they so big when they can be made like the Carpuride one here in your review? What’s all the extra stuff all about in the box behind the screen? Very strange.
Hi, so how does it work if you have multiple users, say one has Android and the other has an iPhone? Can multiple phones be programmed and how does it know which one to connect during startup?
Hi, I don't know about Android vs iPhone (as I don't have an iPhone to test it with) but if you have two phones set up then it seems to just pick up whichever bluetooth signal it gets to first. It appears you'd have to turn bluetooth off on that phone before starting the device, so it connects to the one you want.
with the bluetooth connection to the car, will works the steering wheels controls?
The controls don't work on my van (Nissan NV200) but may do on other devices. Worth reaching out to Carpuride to find out 🙂
Can you tell me if this device is connected instead of aux via Bluetooth, will CarPlay work at this point? So this device supports two simultaneous CarPlay and Bluetooth connections for sound output?
The pro version allows for blueetooth input and output simultaneously
Hey, quick question: When connecting the Carpuride to the car's bluetooh can you use track skipping/seek functions on the steering wheel for example?
What about aux? Does that let you control which track via the steering wheel so you dont have to look away to the screen all the time?

Since I don’t see this guy answering any questions on the comment section, but did mention I believe that it didn’t have steering control function via aux cable, there is a workaround due to the multiple bt functionality. You can buy a bt controller that clips to your steering wheel which had all the necessary buttons to skip tracks, turn the volume up/down and some even have voice or home button control functions as well. I don’t own this device but almost certain this will work.

The Carpuride does *not* support steering wheel controls.
However, an almost identical device, the Carpodgo T3 Pro *does* support steering wheel controls.
I have one now, and love it!
Do you know of an Android Automotive OS (AAOS) equivalent of this, ie. that doesn't need phone pairing?

Will this unit play CZcams music and CZcams TV?
It will play CZcams music but not CZcams TV/videos from an app. You could mirror CZcams to it if you have an iPhone, but I guess they don't want people watching videos while they drive so don't make it easy
will phone calls play through the devices speakers, or through the cars speakers?
Through the car speakers if you're connected to the vehicle. Whilst the device has a built-in speaker, you can turn it off, which I have.

Will the phone call use the car speaker when connected via BT?
My experience is that the handsfree audio is not working thru the capuride 103pro when connected with Android Auto....
I've been asking Carpuride this exact question and they say it won't with the PRO model if you use BT connection - only AUX....will on the new PLUS model...can you review that one please for this functionality? @@BrunoTyge
Hello. With dual bluetooth how many phones does it support? That is to say, if I get into the car, my iPhone connects automatically, but if it is another person who gets in my place, does it automatically recognize them as well, as happens in my other car? thank you.
Hi, I've just tested it with two Android phones and it doesn't appear to work that way. It seems to just pick up whichever bluetooth signal it gets to first and you can't change the phone it's connect to from the display.

That's definitely a route you could go down, but if you're not sure about wiring or comfortable removing parts of the dashboard then this could be worth considering

I think the phone app has but it's still a readily available platform for devices such as this
@LensOfJames it's built into phones now for when you connect to a stereo that supports android auto think it's today with laws regarding using your device when driving
