Have you tried phone calls via car play? This unit doesn't have external microphone port and I'm curious if build in microphone does the job while driving.
Great video. What's the experience like starting the car up? How long does it take for the device to switch on and get to the home screen? Does your phone auto connect? Does the W903 pro automatically open up carplay or do you have to click the icon? Thanks!
The device comes to life when it receives power and does so quickly. Say 10-ish seconds or less. Phone auto connects, yes. You have to choose CarPlay if that is what you want from the menu. Hope this helps! Use my link if you would like the discount! 👍

Good review. Unfraternally the process to connect to the actual car speakers is not as straightforward as the manufacturer advertise. Last product you review very similar to this one, I have to returned for my 996. Anyways, as usual great reviews and content.
Yes, you could do but this gives you a much larger screen and an ‘always on’ interface. You can keep your phone in your pocket. You pays your money, you takes your choice. It’s not the perfect solution for everyone but it’s much better on a long journey than a phone, I’ve found. 🤷♂️
Considering buying carpuride W903 or Lamtto 9.26 dash cam CarPlay. The Lamtto do the exact same thing as carpuride only difference the rotation camera. Lamtto is $80 cheaper which to buy?

I have got it and still have major problems with AirPlay. I can’t connect to smart screen is there any reason why? My AirPlay works with every other AirPlay compatible device apart from this smart screen. Does anyone have a fix for this?
I’m assuming you’re trying to play a video on the device? I didn’t use airplay for that but rather mirrored my iPhone onto the device. That worked fine. Have you tried that?
Can I run music from apple carplay to my radio via bluetooth or does the iphone take up the bluetooth connection on the unit forcing me to run audio output via the 3.5mm?
I got some super glue, and some really shap fish hooks and some double edgerazorblades And a 200lbs magnet. My trucks from the 70's. No holes in my dash. I leave my doors unlocked. No carpet, no cloth. If they get it there should be a blood trail. LOL I hope they try.

I have an 08’ Mazda CX-9 and more importantly OCD. So I cannot change the dash time without the OEM radio so this is the best solution LOL

Why not just use your phone and a Bluetooth to FM widget thing? Surely thst would be far more simple and give almost exactly the same functionality?
