This is one thing people don't seem to understand, North Korea is NOT a threat to the US in any way. North Korea is only a threat to South Korea, which by all means is an American proxy state. It should be the duty of the international community, and especially that of the US, to protect South Korea. And this is why we should care.

True that. North Korea is a fully militarized nation, much like the city-state Sparta was in the classic era Greece. North Koreans are indoctrinated to worship the Great Leader and the Kim dinasty as Gods, and to serve them in the People's Army until the very end. If not, they're deemed unworthy and sent to death camps. This is why they have the second most numerous army in the World, after China's.

basically, using the same fear tactics he does on his people, Kim Jeong Un just dictated America to not release the movie and we obeyed.
we are learning now that this movie actually portrays the NK hitler as a sympathetic character that Franco actually ends up liking.. for this reason the movie needs to be pulled are there any scenes where we see the suffering of the NKean people? the immense suffering and starvation and torture these people are subjected to? seems not, and so, let the movie fold. Its seems more a propaganda piece for NK now

Sony is a private company, so the release is up to them. It's not us negotiating with terrorists, the govt hasn't done anything in regard to the movie.
