Dave Skylark and his producer Aaron Rapaport run the celebrity tabloid show "Skylark Tonight". When they land an interview with a surprise fan, North Korean dictator Jong-Un Kim, they are recruited by the CIA to assassinate him.

The whole “idiots taking on serious stuff” plot is absolutely one of my favorite sub-genres in comedies 😂.
Try watching “spaceballs” lmao.
Don't listen to the other guy, Spaceball is a star wars parody full of idiots and none the wiser, it's an entirely different genre of comedy.
If you want idiots taking on serious stuff, try Tropic Thunder, The Dictator or Spy(2015), though if you're a fan of the genre, I wouldn't be surprised you've seen them all. They have extremely high stakes, and the goofy protagonists are surrounded by professionals, but they all manage to save the day in the end.
