    You broke down something I have been struggling with not in this video specifically. The way you broke down the 4 beats in a bar and how the kick is on one snare on 2 and kick on 3 and snare on 4 changed my entire perspective on sampling in my MPCX. I have been so intimidated to create on this equipment, but you've brought back the inner child in me with the simplicity of your break downs. keep them coming brother.

      Glad to know this helped bro! I believe in my other video "How To Chop Samples For Beginners" I go over that as well.

    The kick is always fairly easy to resolve. You can remove the lows with a HP (then add your own low end like you did).The problem is always the high drum sounds,like the snare or the hats. You have to a) use another app to remove drums b) try to adjust your bpm and shit. Its pretty hard.

    • @PeteOnTheBeat
      @PeteOnTheBeat Před rokem +1

      And if you have it chopped correctly you can to the lfo and mess with the att

    • @NxMusic1
      @NxMusic1  Před rokem

      True and there's always more than one way to get something done. I'm sure the Kill eq preset works just like a HP filter.

      Hey, could you explain this a little more? how would adjusting BPM help with killing the snare and the hats?

    Oh thanks man, you give me the last tool that I need to produce funk house beats manipulating samples from my old vinyls collection. I thought that this process was only possible whith abletton or something like that but not, the MPC is a very strong machine to produce.

    Bro you can copy over the track as well to the new program instead of “replaying” your chops for filtered bass

    Much appreciated as always for the content. Would love to see something around your use on the delay effect for extending samples and adding variation to sequences, if possible?
    Keep up we are here to see the channel ascending

    • @NxMusic1
      @NxMusic1  Před rokem +1

      Like using delay for a chop that cuts too short?
      Think I'm going to do a full beat break down soon with different sequences so you all can see that. I know that's something others have requested too. Hope to get to it soon. Thanks and appreciate you!

    Peace Nx, dope vid. With that "no kick drum" preset, do you have any advice on using it to reduce the punchy-ness of the kick instead of just the low end??

    • @NxMusic1
      @NxMusic1  Před 11 měsíci

      Like if the kick on the sample still has some punch to it but the low end is already turned down? Might want to try to EQ it out or you can always move your chop right after the kick. That's a method a lot of people use but I don't normally do that.
      Sometimes when you lay your drums over it, it can mix in well and won't even notice it.

  • @Mpthedawn
    @Mpthedawn Před rokem +2

    Why feed the low end into the reverb and not take it out at the top of the chain ?
    Just easier

    • @NxMusic1
      @NxMusic1  Před rokem +1

      You're right, that's why I said you could take it out.
