“Oh no please, I die here.” 🤣
best part
By far the best line in the series
How many times have people said that line during a bad hangover “ I die here” 😂
🤣🤣 love that!
@@nicholasdavies6264 I was gonna say, anyone who has had a bad hangover will fully understand Manuel's pain here!
The way manuel moves ! - like he's on a ship in a rough sea. Such wonderful acting.
I love the way that the Major - sitting right there - is happily eating and oblivious to everything going on.
Yeah the Major is such a mood. I love it
I love how Basil is the most prudish and censorious person in the episode, but constantly ends up by accident in embarrassing positions with multiple characters!! 🤣🤣
me at work..not with a hangover…just how i am
after a long savage late shift!!!
Major just eating not taking any notice seen it all before
I just noticed this too :D Comedy genious
He was sharp enough to spot the rat (Basil in both cases) in another episode 😮🤷🏼♂️🤓😎✌🏻😝
Never a dull moment at Fawlty Towers.
Well, get on with your meals!
Lol Major’s just sitting there eating breakfast glancing at the other guests like “.....first time at Fawlty Towers?”
1:10 oh no please, I die here

Get on with your meals 😂
This is so funny. Manuel tries to put the plate on the table and gives up and falls to the floor with his hangover lol
Just thought about the scene, when Cleese picks him up, that is so fucking funny ^^,
New Year’s Day in a nutshell
This is from the weakest episode of the 12, but it's still pretty good. Trivia: the French lady was played by AA Gill's mother.
this isnt the weakest episode at all... in fact it might be the funniest. the worst for me is Basil the Rat.
John Cleese personally considers The Builders to be the weakest episode.
Yvonne Gilan died 2018 aged 86
Manuel i die here
Does the actress who plays the French woman play the Queen in the Medieval Blackadder? 🤔
No, but they were both Scottish actresses in reality.
No, you are thinking of Dr Abott in "The Psychiatrist" episode, she plays the queen in medieval Blackadder! :)
The french gags are underrated in this. First Basil comes up, and rough translation, goes "Good morning, would you like a coffee" to which she replies "Yes, coffee with milk (au lait)"- basil goes ah yes, "olay" lmao.
Then, just gleaming from my basic french, Basil goes back and says "Cafe pour Vous"- vous being the formal french way of saying you, opposed to "tu" which is what one uses with friends and personal acquaintances. She replies something along of the lines of "Vous? why so formal" and Basil, obviously not speaking any french, goes "I think I'll have one later" lmfao.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who is that beauty blond lady?
Connie Booth
@@samkennedy7081 not her. he means the guest sitting at the table.
After payday lol
Who is the healthy blond in the bra?
All ladies wear bra
0:17.never noticed.
@@henrynjuguna6877 no they dont moron.
I think Alan and Jean really suck. Too bad Basil didn’t get the truth about the latter’s insult.
Ironic how the woman, who is wearing nothing but a bra on the upper half of her body, says 'disgusting'
70's fashion, sorry if this was a bit before your time.
Agreed SonicFan, shes an utter tart in the episode as well.
nerd
Basil had called her partner "disgusting" when he thought they were getting up to sexual frolics as an unmarried couple, and also he tried to make them sleep in separate rooms as they weren't married - they were both getting her own back on him a bit here!
@@BenBanjo87 Yes, spot on! And of course Basil somehow ends up on top of Manuel again in the final scene, in front of the entire wedding party.
I’d play a better French woman than that, and I’m a man. “Seel vove play”
she was perfect for the role... total comedic parody of a French woman. "š'il vous plais"
I'm so glad they never fired Manuel just for our amusement. Kind of them
you realize its a comedy show right?
@@RedroomStudios No, thought it was a romantic drama. The audience laughing in the background always confused me
@@nordicgaming2572 oh dear lord.
