My father who died 7 years ago told me since i was a child that he was 14 years old and he was in this crowd. He said that this concert were the best moments he ever experienced. My family live in Münster and my dad always was so proud to tell me about this evening. I would give everything to show him this recording.....sadly it´s not possible anymore
😢 sad history. I felt more or less the same way.
Nothing hurts like losing your father and remembering those good times is great but still having them back would be even better. Glad you have that story to remember!

73 here. Love seeing Brian Jones. This is the real Rolling Stones for me.
Never much liked them dya feel alrite. repeat type of songs
I met Mick and Keith in a neighborhood tavern when I was a child. I went with my Dad to pick up his instruments from a gig from the night before. He was an accordion player who lead a Polka Band. In walk these two. They conversed with my father for a while, after seeing him with his instruments. They bought me a soda, and patted me on the head, while calling me a fine young lad. My Dad always told everyone that story. R.I.P. Dad ❤️
Thank You , A Sweet Tale Indeed
Damn to think they are still rocking all this time !! Frickin amazing .
For a 1965 show, this is great! Also rare to hear Brian's guitar louder in the mix than Keith's.
the best part too!
Wow Brian Jones on the firebird!
Nobody can compare BRIAN

@@HARALDEMANN maybe.
When I was growing up you were either a Beatles fan or Stones fan. The youngest of 5 kids I followed what my siblings liked. We were a Stones family. Eventually I became a huge fan of Beatles. Still can’t get enough of both bands.
It's great that Brian's guitar is not buried in the mix for once!
It absolutely amazes me that we still have these legends not only alive but still touring in 2024! God bless the Stones.
I will see them 8 times this spring and summer
still alive in 2024 hmmm ,and touring you say - hmmm - 2 of them have died, charlie watts & brian jones -- touring,i guess its possible, but unlikely - hard to believe anything in your comment really --

I saw that too.
Sounds like a bandmaster, like a bass man on roids, actually it is a bassman now I saw th whole vid
it's a Dual Showman
Brian sounds phenomenal here.
R.I.P Brian Jones Legendary Musician 🤟🎸🥁🎤
Love Brian's beautifully crafted Gibson Firebird and Kieth's Epiphone Casino. A pair of really classic 60's USA guitars.
Hey you might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like The Rolling Stones!
love to have that firebird. likely a 64 or 65.
It's rare that Brian's guitar sounds clear like this
Every time they play 'Satisfaction' live, Brian's rhythm guitar is too loud, and Keith's is barely heard. Every--damn--time!!
Wow you can really hear Brian's guitar it growls kind regards Roy Bennett from Wollongong Australia
This is pure gold. To see Brian Jones & the original lineup in color & wearing the fashions of the day.
I was a fifth grader back then and in love with the British Invasion... I'm 70 years of age now and how the time has flown. Saw the Stones live in 1972 in their prime. Great show, floor seats in large arena and the tickets were $5.00!
@@jdobbs7700 their prime was with Brian
I remember Mick wearing those white shoes a lot in the early days
Brian was always very stylish
The German kids were wearing suits mostly, and sitting obediently.
Happy 80th Birthday,Mick! Who thought you’d still be rockin to that crazy sound in 2023!? Amazing I was 14 and dancing in my room to this on my record player in 1965! Ahhh, the Brian Jones era. The best they ever were.......

Mick Taylor wasn't bad either: Let It Bleed (1969), Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! The Rolling Stones in Concert (1970), Sticky Fingers (1971), Exile on Main St. (1972), Goats Head Soup (1973) and It's Only Rock 'n Roll (1974).
And the Ronnie Wood Era has been great to Some Girls,Tattoo You,Voodoo Lounge . The fact is the Rolling Stones have been great in an Era
After reading a few of the more recent comments, some historical perspective is helpful here. In the early and mid 60's, there was a pecking order for rock bands and a style for rock shows that does not exist today. In that time, on stage monitors did not exist, and touring gear was rather basic. The Beatles (as a comparison) were the top band of that time, and were playing arena and stadium gigs (Shea) without that gear. They kept in time with Ringo banging the drums for all he was worth, and it worked. Here, Charlie Watts is not banging away like Ringo did. The timekeeper was Brian Jones' guitar, which was cranked up high so the others didn't get ahead or behind in a song. The mics were set up the way they were because of the nature of the show the Stones were playing in that time. They were not the only act, but shared the stage with other 'up and coming' bands on that tour. The way shows were done was it was act after act after act. This is why Ian Stewart is rushing the stage after the last song. They had to get off the stage and make way for the next group. No drum riser here, so the drums had the mics they did out of necessity for efficiency, and no front of house sound either. Rock shows then were very chaotic affairs, as this was still in it's infancy at that time. For a better idea of how this worked, watch the NME award shows (there are several versions) on YT from 64 and 65, which feature both the Stones and Beatles. It wasn't until about the later 60's that shows would evolve to what they are more like today.
LIVE shows! Everyone on the stage, the sound guys out in the middle of the crowd, everyone backstage, all holding it alive!!!
This is when Jagger was the coolest lead singer in the Universe. His stage presence is incredible.
and its 1965!!!!
Pfffffffffffffff you mean Keit Richards an Brain were cool ................. mick could have been replaced by many
Way cooler than today's stadium Mick .
@@haraldversteegden2562 I disagree. Jones was always the epitome of cool and with Jagger not far behind. But in the 60s, Richards looks like the most gawky and unnatural stage presence I've ever seen. In my opinion, it was only at the end of the decade, after about 8 years apprenticeship observing Jones and Jagger, that Richards finally came into his own on stage. His increasing drug dabbling also probably 'helped'.
Yeah, well for my penneths worth - I felt Mick was pushing the the proverbial S*** up hill and if he'd stopped for a beat the whole thing would have fallen over. Mick was incredible!
It's almost 2024 and these guys are coming to Cleveland and guess what..... they still gonna be singin that new hit from 1965 Satisfaction!!
What a mind blower man. These guys are still killin it with the new album and hit single Angry. Who'd a thought they'd be still rockin in 2023 back then in 1965?
Unbelievable mick and keith are still rocking 60 years later. SIXTY YEARS!!!😳😳
57 1/2 years later. FIFTY-SEVEN AND A HALF!!!

@@danieljones741 Sure, but we're not watching their first gig, or hearing their first release. I wouldn't comment on the Abbey Road rooftop video saying "66 years later!" (John & Paul formed a band in '57), cuz the rooftop concert was 11 years afterwards.

This is pure gold. Brian Jones in his prime and pomp driving the band hard, Jagger is amazing too. And Charlie is smiling. Great stuff!
Brian Jones was a great Rhythm Guitar player and was strictly all business on stage!
No one dressed like Brian!
Damnit!
John Winston ONO Lennon was always criticizing Mick and Jagger never once said a bad word about The Beatles even though they were a truly shitty "live" band!
Had The Rolling Stones performed on the Apple Rooftop with The Beatles in 1969, The Stones would have blown them off the roof!
When I was a boy in the 60s, I'd always check out The Rolling Stones albums and Singles to see Brian.
Brian Jones was my favourite Stone!
I wanted to dress like him and have a haircut like him!
I'll never forget July 4,1969!
I was 11 years old and my family and my late cousin Julio's family were celebrating American Independence Day at Hansen Dam in Lakeview Terrace, California.
We were barbecuing and having a ball swimming.
Later on, my cousin Julio, brother Tony and I walked across the street to a Liquor Store to buy Ice Cream and Soda Pops.
As we walked in, I went over to a stack of newspapers and was staggered reading the headline which read something like "Rolling Stone Drowns In Pool Tragedy".
I shouted out to my brother Tony, "hey Tony, I think Mick Jagger drowned in his pool" as I continued reading I found out it was Brian Jones and that he drowned the day before in his pool on July 3,1969.
I was simply stunned.
I wasn't aware Brian Jones was dismissed by The Rolling Stones on June 9,1969.
Later on my dad dropped us off at White's Record Store in Pacoima, California.
We admired Mr. White, an Afro-American, who always had his store stocked with Rolling Stone records.
I was surprised to see he was open. It was Friday July 4,1969.
As I walked in I asked him if he'd heard of Brian's death and said he had and how sad it was.
He then said that The Rolling Stones just released a new Single that very day and I couldn't believe it!
The Single was "Honky Tonk Woman/You Can't Always Get What You Want".
I guess that's one of the reasons Mr. White opened that day.
I immediately bought it and took it home!
I quickly noticed Brian wasn't on the cover.
The cover depicted The Rolling Stones standing at a bar with new Stone Mick Taylor.
I was blown away by Charlie's Drums at the beginning of the song!
I sat there in my room listening to that single countless times mourning Brian's passing.
I just couldn't believe he no longer graced this Earth.
REST IN ETERNAL PEACE ~

His rythum on satisfaction is great
The originals Rolling stones the best
The Rolling Stones was the musical vision of Brian Jones. He was a die hard devotee of American Mississippi Delta/Chicago blues.
It's good to see him anchoring his band during this performance, before the demons he battled robbed him of the greatness they would achieve, and ultimately his life. Rest in peace British Blues Boy.
I agree, I personally believe that some people are really trying to erase Brian from history besides the creation of the Stones was originally his idea, my father is 63 years old and he didn’t know who is Brian Jones.
@@sakharovita ~ I'm sorry, but that's on him. Any 63-yr-old who doesn't know who Brian Jones was isn't much of a Stones fan.
bustabass ~ Brian was his own worst enemy who wrote his own ticket out of the band - and out of this world. He's not a victim.
@@acousticshadow4032
Never said he was a "victim". By the same token no one can deny him his legacy for what he created, irrespective of the vices that plagued him, and eventually wrought out the more decent aspects of his personality and clouded his judgment. Anyone who knows anything about addiction, knows that is but one of the many consequences.
What evolved from his vision has outlived him. His legacy will out live us all...despite the imperfections through out his brief lifetime, and the efforts of some to try to take that away from his memorial, by sanctimoniously pointing them out!
"And they just kept rockin', while 60 years went down." ~ Thank you, George!!! 😉
Mick was so young here and so self assured and confident, performing, he seems like a natural at it.

@@matthawkins5006 I hear what you're saying, I feel like I've learned a lot through interviews they've granted, etc. There's so much more to synchronicity and they've had a better shot at it than some other groups that I love.
Your point about synchronicity is a great one. So many bands have that and it flames out after only a few years / relentless touring / creative demands. I also think that great writers / painters / film makers / recording artists have a finite number of great works in them, and some realize when that is over and hang up their hats / retire / enjoy life. Others keep milking it. Like if Picasso was still alive I doubt he would mount a show of the @Planet_Shel
