    I just bought this vehicle. And I love it. And it is not slow at all . I bought the storm blue color with the se trim. It’s a very nice ride

    Thank you, I just bought one and I am so happy that I learned how to turn off that stupid thing when the engine turns off at a light. In L. A. Traffic, that is annoying. Great video, thanks.

    I just bought a 2021 Tiguan, I love the vehicle, always been a VW fan, I will say it did not need the 8 speed auto, easy 6 would have been a much better idea from tranny to block. The 8 has its benefits for what they designed this for, but a 6 speed would still give you the power and much better torq on the low end. I'm in Nebraska and this will do just fine. Only other complaint is exactly as you called it, the exhaust....No way they put in tips but the exhaust doesnt even extend out there. Meh, aftermarket exhaust is generally the better option.

    Anyone watching this summer 2021, be aware the 2022 will be out in a couple of months with a light redesign. The S gets more standard equipment and a price increase. The SE gets 18-inch wheels and the IQ safety suite standard but a big price increase to over $30k.

    • @thein1990
      @thein1990 Před rokem

      My 2021 se cost me over 30k lol
      My wife’s 2022 se was closer to 38k

    The sensors on the frontend are not behind the VW badge but actually the little circle on the bumper cover to the right of the front plate mount. I had a 2018 SEL and now have the 2018 Atlas with tech and that is where the dealership advised they are located. Also, on the SE models, they do not have an auto hatch, but are manual open. The button on the key fob is a faux button and has no real purpose. If you get the SEL, which uses the exact same key fob, then the hatch button gets replaced with a usable one. You also skipped the CD player. The Tiguan and Atlas has the CD player in the glovebox. There is also a SD slot to insert an SD card to pull up pix on your infotainment screen and there is a slot for an SD card that will store the mapping info if your SEL has navigation, as mine did.

      There’s isn’t a CD player in the 2021 Tiguan SE.

    does Tiguan come with Surround View Monitor while reversing ? Also can the trunk lid open & close with the push of a button ?

    • @tydrives4846
      @tydrives4846  Před 3 lety

      The Tiguan gets the surround view camera system in the SEL Premium trim only. The trunk is powered, meaning it’ll open and close with the push of a button, on SEL and SEL Premium trim levels only.

      @@tydrives4846 I have a question about the trunk too. I have the 2021 se trim and there’s a button on the remote but does not work and none on the inside. Is the button on the inside suppose to work or for show?

      It’s if you want to put the auto gate in on your own! My wife’s 22 came standard but my 21 I don’t mind not having it, the tail gate isn’t heavy at all and easily closes even with arms full of groceries

  • @MeredithAdams34
    @MeredithAdams34 Před 3 lety +4

    Does yours have an “open trunk” button on the drivers side door?
    Also, how do you open the trunk (from inside) if your 2021 SE Tiguan does not have one?

    • @99arcade
      @99arcade Před 3 lety

      There is a button in the drivers door but I don’t know if this is standard or an option in your market.

    • @tokenblack7983
      @tokenblack7983 Před 3 lety +3

      It’s doesn’t. It’s the stupidest thing ever. Only the SEL does. That said I love my se r line but yeah no open button inside and the key fob has the button but does nothing. Still love it

    • @davidsdiamond3269
      @davidsdiamond3269 Před 3 lety +2

      The SE model does not have an open hatch button because the SE hatch is not auto open. My 2018 SEL had the button on the key fob that opens the hatch and a release button on the driver side door panel down next to the door bin. My wife's 2018 SE has the faux button on the key fob but it does nothing because her's is manual open. My 2018 Atlas with tech has it on the fob and on the door.

    Beware: Battery replacement at 40.350.00 miles to the tune of $450. at the dealership.
    Went into a store, came out - Battery DEAD ugh
    Service advisor keep blaming it on the HEAT. If you ask me- Truth is. Too much drawl on the battery from all the fancy futures that I DON'T USE. Service advisor told me I will need a new battery every 2 to 3 years. ugh Makes to since to me that I can't get the running lights off. Makes no since to me what the radio continues to play when I turn the car off. There is a lot of things about new cars that don't make since to me. ugh

    So he opens the hood and forgets to tell you the horsepower and torque. He just races the engine
