Shin Megami Tensei 4 FINAL Boss Lucifer (LAW) [MASTER]
First time playing through SMT4 series.
This game has been recommended to me multiple times.
I've decided to exclude the additional choices from the main story and just keep it full top screen (Beside in Boss fights). Every option I choose are CHAOS answers.
Pre-ordered a 3ds built in capture card a while ago 2016 (February) from Keity, but it takes around 5 months for them to make/ship it (I received it July 8th). Originally I had a 3ds XL just for this game, but the screen on a handheld device was just way too annoying to play on, and I'm not a fan of that but now I can play 3ds games on a monitor/tv with a lot bigger screen and it's a lot better now. - Hry

The way we see Walter's physical condition after being used and twisted by Lucifer, it makes me wonder if that's how God sees the spiritual condition of those living in Tokyo.
and he call us puppets, the thing about shin megami tensei is that god was created by human faith but because of the amala system that keeps breaking order after order he cant grant their wish so his only option is to rig them system and slowly remove humanity's ability of observation until he gains the power to bring the millennium kingdom into being, humans souls will continue to reincarnate hence why god and the angels of law are willing to kill so many people, so while people think he is arrogant god is just doing what he can with the power he was given, which is kinda of sad that every game treats him like a villain

Am I the only one who find the first phase really creepy? The music is eerie and frantic, the rapidly moving grey sky as if to foreshadow a sinister storm, the fact that Lucifer looks like a ghostly hospital patient, and his twitching left arm, no thanks

I take back what I said about Law earlier, this ending is dope.
I never got the hate against it, I think it did its job to show angels are just as bad as demons to get their goals.
When you actually play the games the negatives and positives of each of the routes become more and more apparent. And the safety and serenity, even if it is forced, of Law seems more appealing.
Strong Enough to Defeat Lucifer, Smart Enough to convince the angels not to destroy the World.

This looks a lot easier than how it went for me lol. Best attack I had was concentrate Zandyne +8, best heal I used was high heal pleroma mediarama, and all I had for buff/debuff was debilitate and rakukaja. It still wasn't awful, but a lot more tense.

Lucifer was frozen in Cocytus as his ultimate punishment.
It's highly misconcepted that Lucifer is considered to be associated in some way with the flames and fire because he is indeed submerged in the Cocytus, according to the best source of Christian afterlife Mitology, the Divine Comedy.
So yeah, it's actually not weird at all.

God it seems so surreal fighting him at regular level since I did fiends first so i had the demons I used for Trumpeteer all coming up to 1800-2000hp with doping

Are you going to do a SMT IV Apocalypse playthrough? Or at least SMT IV's DLCs?
Have not started Apoc yet but will @ some point and I have not done the DLCs either.

I have a dumb crackpot theory but here goes: This lucifer isn't the same as the one we're more familiar with (as in this isn't lucifer, but something of an "interpretation" of him) I'll also try to ignore Apocalypse since this is focused on just IV. The most obvious evidence is his design, but I mostly disregard that because multiple interpretations of the same demon exist, but his personality is DRASTICALLY different to what the series usually sees him as. In most MegaTen titles he's seen as a somewhat charismatic entity who advocates for chaos, but IV clearly depicts him as an ideological supremacist who will just blatantly destroy anyone with opposing beliefs, and is a lot more one-note with his whole "God SUX" schtick. The thing that this theory stems from is the great spirits of goodwill/hope/spite plotline. Judging from how IV presents these powers, my theory was that the demons abused the great spirit of spite to not revive lucifer, but create a new chaos leader altogether, since they had nothing to counter the archangels/YHVH, and thus Hikaru was made, explaining why he is so much more direct with what he is pushing, as he is just the culmination of what the chaos alignment is and not his own being, and lucifer was made whole once he merged with Walter. Once the archangels heard about this, they abused the great spirit of goodwill to empower the resulting fusion of themselves and Jonathan, and the two supremacist jerks were born.
Or who knows, maybe IV is just absolutely goddamn terrible at writing its alignment reps, IDK
could be both.
I personally just think the Lucifer has been significantly weakened and is *done* with the charismatic nice guy act.

From the original SMT series, I have only played 3 and 4 so far. SMT4, you can save anywhere you want, but you couldn't do that in 3 so no, 3 is harder.
