Shin Megami Tensei 4 Boss Gabriel & Michael [MASTER]
First time playing through SMT4 series.
This game has been recommended to me multiple times.
I've decided to exclude the additional choices from the main story and just keep it full top screen (Beside in Boss fights). Every option I choose are CHAOS answers.
Pre-ordered a 3ds built in capture card a while ago 2016 (February) from Keity, but it takes around 5 months for them to make/ship it (I received it July 8th). Originally I had a 3ds XL just for this game, but the screen on a handheld device was just way too annoying to play on, and I'm not a fan of that but now I can play 3ds games on a monitor/tv with a lot bigger screen and it's a lot better now. - Hry

whenever flynn died and it said that the rest of the party was trying their best, i really was cheering them on
It's oddly wholesome, for such a deep game

@@balanceherosmt7170 persona games have no reason to end the game with protagonist dying. It's not like they don't have an option to revive them.
@@saadmirza4221 well, i think it's dependent on the tactics system and if you don't have revival items/skills then you can't change the tactics anymore.
On second thought, maybe sparing Gabriel back then was a bad idea..

This is alluded to in IV but only really elaborated on in IVA. Demons in the IV continuity can't actually kill each other. The most they can do is seal each other away. That's why Lilith recruits Walter and founds the Ring of Gaea rather than try to take out Tayama's henchmen and activate Yamayo by herself.
Imagine them getting a 3d model and visit dx2 as alternate Michael and Gabriel

Y'know, I realized something about Michael, and his relation to Lucifer.
Michael's design has a distinctly dragonic and serpentine motif, while the Book of Revelations refers to the Devil as "the great dragon", and identifies him with the serpent in Eden in Genesis. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

I guess this is more accurate how an angel would look like than the most popluar depictions of angels
Before the cute babies with wings, high ranking angels were depicted as wheels inside wheels inside wheels and so on, all with eyes and on fire, chimeras with eyes on their wings and blinding-bright, aways burning, six-winged serpent things that non-stop prayed to god. And these are the ophanim, cherubim and seraphim respectively. Some consider the Archangels ("A" not "a"), like Michael and Gabriel, to be on an even highter rank.
@@Gogetossj50 The wheels are more commonly called Thrones. And I never heard the seraphim as being serpents, just humanoids who obscure their appearance lest they scorch the earth since they're supposedly the very image of God.
chaincat33 Seraph can mean both burning one and serpent and in some Judeo-Christian texts, like the books of Enoch, they are sometimes described as snakes, dragons ect.
I'm gonna be honest I somewhat dislike the SMT designs for the thrones and cherubim because they center on humanoid figures, where only the lower orders of angels created to guide humans take on such forms.
Either way, the appearance of angels was never defined concretely and people who act like depictions of humanoid angels are somehow a lie irk me because they don't seem to understand there are 9 different types of angel each with distinct appearances, and said appearances are not even their true forms but only what humans perceive them as.

The appreances are. More. Based on the judo Christianity angels were not all pretty and graceful like popular speculation, I feel this fits better with how alien these entities are
In older interpretations, Angels and Archangels were described as monstruous, abstract and incomprehensible to mere humans. This depiction is closer to the originals than Kaneko's designs for these characters (though I do love carrot man Michael).

@@pablomadrid6962 Definitely not, archangels brought up in the bible were definitely not described as monstrous and stuff. Those were for other angels in other parts of the angel hierarchy though such as Seraphims and Cherubims.
Really? They couldn't come up with any excuse for why Gabriel wasn't sealed at Kagome tower? Even if they were like "putting all 4 in the same place means they could work together to free themselves", or "Gabriel is special and would still remember herself", they still could've, y'know, sealed her somewhere else!
I'm pretty sure Mastema chose to spare her knowing your role in the present time, guaranteeing you were the one to choose humanity's future.
Yeah, thats a pretty stupid plot hole. Though i guess you could say it was Mastema's law side acting up, as he describes himself as also following god's will, just on his way.
Imo a better explanation would be if Gabriel fled to get reenforcements while Flynn fought Michael
