    Still the best intro on the WWW. Good to see you John. Nice to see any original UK Moz pressings. You do not see them around here much anymore. I think I bought them all. {smile} Just kidding. They disappear faster than Taylor Swift singles. I think I bought them all. {smile} Just kidding. I am glad that I bought them when I did. Even the reissues are bumping up a bit in price. I just ordered the reissue of Beethoven. I think I grabbed the Rhino pressing. The original His Master's Voice pressing sounds OK. Nothing special. Hoping that the reissue sounds better. I am not really into studio produced live albums. But it is nice to hear anything from the Your Arsenal Tour. Brings back fond memories. No news on Bonfire of Teenagers or Without Music the World Dies. Maybe soon. House of Love's best album. Thanks J~

    Hi 👋 Greetings from New Zealand. The Chosen Few sound very similar in vocal style as the Stylistics. Patrice Rushen had a hit in the 1980s with a song called Forget me Nots. Hope im right about that ?. From Carl.

    • @6inchpianist
      @6inchpianist  Před 25 dny +2

      Hi Carl. Nice to have a comment from NZ! The stylistics did People Make The World Go Round. The Chosen Few’s version has a very similar arrangement.
      And you’re right, Patrice Rushen did Forget Me Nots. Cheers! John

  • @Harrispilton22
    @Harrispilton22 Před 25 dny +2

    The story of the making of that House Of Love album is fascinating & horrifying in equal measure. About 14 studios 7 producers, the pressure was on them to become as big as U2, the band were literally going mad, Terry Bickers attempted suicide, it’s all documented in the Creation Records Story book. I keep telling Craig Danger to get that Stylistics debut album that has ‘People Make The World Go Round’. I’ve got the 7” of ‘I’m Just A Guy’ on Stufio One.

    • @6inchpianist

    Hi John, that Chosen Few record you played has some superb vocals. Great that you got the Eno stuff and the Morrissey albums - despite his later records being fairly average his early stuff is brilliant and as you said they bring back wonderful memories. He needs to move back home and get back to reality. We saw the House Of Love live recently in Norwich, superb gig but I haven't got that one on vinyl as yet. Some lovely finds there. I've been listening to a lot of Eno as well. Had a similar find last year. My current fav is Before and After Science. There is something about Derrick Harriott's productions. Some of it can be a bit too much for me but other recordings are sublime. His dub records are quite strange as well - quite light in places but joyful as well. Especially Scrubbing The Dub. All the best, Steve.
