  • On todays video I will show you how I installed my stock factory LS pushrods and rocker arms on to my Lq9 6.0 after the SS2 cam swap, I really did not even check preload and pushrod length as this is a common swap and the only thing I changed was cam and springs, and the cam I am using really does not need a different pushrod length from what I seen online, if I changed block height or had my heads milled down or was using a super large cam or so on I would of checked pushrod length and preload as not doing so is asking for engine trouble.
Link to bent pushrod video: • HOW TO TELL IF YOU HAV...
The torque specs I found are 22-25 ft pounds for the rocker arms, double check before doing yours, I went to 25-on mine.
This really is not the proper way to install pushrods and rocker arms, I have did a few motors this way and all have been just fine, they are many ways to install pushrods and rocker arms so do your research, this is a video showing you how I did mine.

Can you do one for the 5.7 vortec. I suspect i have a broken or bent pushrod. Looking to replace it but want to do it right

I put the wrong pushrods in and tried to crank it and it had no compression of I put the stock ones back in and do this and it doesn’t have compression what could be the issue? It has new lifters as well

Check the valves and valve seal. See if either of the two valves per cylinder kisses the top of your piston

What do the lifters do in making the engine run?

They ride on the cam lobe utilizing a push rod, valve spring, and rocker arm to open and close intake and exhaust valves.
