Funny thing is, her dad did make her get a boating license at 15! 😂
Yeah? Haha
The first time I heard this I literally screamed “oh my god Taylor Swift wrote a murder ballad.” 😂😂😂 It’s SUCH a great addition to the modern interpretation of the genre.
I appreciate the way you actually listen to the lyrics. So many reactors are clueless because they don't listen. Thank you!
I appreciate that!
She was with me dude 🤘
She thinks I did it but she just can't prooove it!!
Unralated but u are stunning
Did you notice the names of the co-writers? Esté & Danielle Haim. (The murdered friend & Taylor's alibi.) ;)
And this is how to fit a double homicide into a folk/ country alt.rock song. With the great tension filled chorus, (especially with the production building too), consisting of a repetition of 3 lines and 1 other. And of course the typical plot twist, as she does in other songs, when she flips the last chorus to a different pov, or change in emotion. Plus, that country twang with the instrumentals- guitar, what sounds like a banjito(?), and the harmonica. I love the little "she was with me dude", from one of the Haim sisters. They're also in the videos for, Bad Blood, I think and Bejeweled as the "ugly sisters".
And it's STILL, a really darn catchy tune! Definitely painted that picture for me. Well, in terms of an idea for a mv!
😂😂 You're so great at this💙They say Taylor Swift has 1.6 Billion fans, I hope a whole bunch of them find you🙏💙
Me too!!! Lol thank you!
So funny, what a reaction. Taylor wrote a book called A Girl Named Girl when she was around 12-14, it is unpublished, but I would love to read it. It is supposedly about a woman who wanted a son but instead, she got a daughter, I would assume she didn't even give her a name and just called her Girl. Taylor has been in a couple of crime dramas when she was younger. She also reads a lot.
it would be cool if she revised it as a smarter more mature woman and released it major dollar signs
@@twothousandandchew Maybe someday she will.
You can just tell she’s a reader by how she writes. That was the first thought I had when I really started looking into her work.
Love how quickly you caught on to the story!
I listen to alot of true crime lol
I'm dead over the T-shirt 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
link should be in the bio!
I subscribed as soon as you said morbid weirdos 😂
Alaina commented and followed me on tiktok! We're like basically bff lol
3:35 "Whose gonna prove it?!"
Oh she'll do you one better 😂😂😂
This song reminded me a lot of Reba and "That's the Night That the Lights Went Out in Georgia".
Same!
movie "why women kill" uses this song
Oh really!?? Lol that's awesome
It was crime junkies! They did an April fools case based on this!!
Yes! Lol I knew it happened to me tho!
I love your reactions ❤ you are my favorite! “Paint the picture Taylor” 🤩
Thank you so much!!
I normally wouldn't watch a reaction vid shorter than 10 min, but someone recommended you on another thread & well... there is always exceptions & your react vids are them! Ty!
Lol why thank you for making an exception!!
Love this song! Great reaction!
It's so damn good lol
From the first line, I knew Taylor was going to be doing something about it. Line one, knowing Taylor, I knew *exactly* where the plot was going. A little TS VS was in order.
If you love storytelling and dissecting lyrics, Taylor’s best song for that is All Too Well (10-min version). I swear, it doesn’t seem at all like it’s 10 mins. You won’t be disappointed.
It's up on patreon! I loved it lol I did the song... And then I had to do a different video for the short film !
Taylor loves songwriting, storytelling and crime dramas so this was the natural result
You weren’t ready!! 😂 Great reaction 🙌🏼
Right!! Lol I loved it tho
I just subscribed because you did my favorite devious Taylor Swift song!!! I’m a Super Swifty but not the crazy kind!! Getaway Car with Intro from the Rep Tour! You need the intro (and a little background info)! This song is fire! They performed it live. I have always wanted a real video though!! Hey to everybody on here!
I love get away car! Many of the reactions are on my patreon! Thank you so much!
Goodbye, Earl by Dixie Chick is akin to this song
Seriously, I live for your reactions! 😂
Morbid in the morning!!!
Im thinking of chris watts and nicole kissenger and the BFF noticing she was missing in like 3 hours
Omg I can't stand to even look at his face! 😡😡😡 Such a tragic story!
She is showing her country-roots here. This is a classic and needs to be played next to Reba's The Night the LIghts Went Out in Georgia
Love this track
I need you to do False God from the Lover album
It's on patreon ! I loved it
Awesome fucking song!!
Love it!!
This could be a great movie!👌❤️
Also the podcast episode your talking about is an April Fools edition of Crime Junkie
Yes!! Had the two podcast mixed up lol but yes!
I came here to say this!!!

WHOOPWHOOP
You were not prepared for the plot twist, right? 😂😂😂
Taylor is that friend who will avenge her friend! Hell yes. 🤣🤣😜
YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON WHO GOT THIS WHOLE SONG!! So many people got this sooo wrong. Some actually thought that Taylor killed her friend, Este. 🙈
Buying a shirt from you because YOU ACTUALLY GOT IT! #YouAreASwiftie! 🥰
Yes!!! Lol I love this song! And thank you for the support!
Malone!!! Where you been brother? Lol. I been busy with life. Sorry I haven’t been around as much. But I’ll be here until I’m done breathing. Rock on my friend.
hahahha so good
😂😂😂
4:34 me trying to understand what is going on when I listen to that song for the first time
I. Was trying to solve the case!! 🤣
Have you ever listened to Reba McEntire when the lights go out in Georgia? It's very similar vibe. I think you'll really like it. I know it might be out of your wheelhouse, but you should listen to it if you like watch the video.
Morbid is my favorite!!!
I’m here for the Morbid reference! 😂 they don’t like Taylor Swift so it probably was a different podcast though. Have you ever listened the the podcasts Black Girl Gone or the Murder Sheet? Two highly underrated true crime podcasts!
Yeah I remembered it was Crime Junkies that did it .. But Alaina from morbid still commented and followed me on tiktok lol!
Taylor Allison right there 😂😂
It was Crime Junkie podcast!
Yes I was corrected about that! It was so good it got me lmao
This song must be written based on a true crime story 😮
Yes & no! Taylor loves true crime but she wrote this story herself with Haim. It's so good live from the Eras Tour!
It’s a murder ballad! Very traditional type of country song.
@@khills Oh trust me I know! I grew up breathing country & the storytelling is top notch but understandable so most can relate to it. I love that lyrical aspect that Taylor has used her whole career (as well as teaching people what a thesaurus is!🤣) 😉
@@megandelynn6114 I figured you might, given you knew more about the song, but I was actually replying for folks like OP who might not know of the genre, especially if they’re not country fans. There are the occasional non-country murder ballads (Where the Wild Roses Grow by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds), but I think the last murder ballad that made it big was Goodbye Earl, and that song is just a few years from being classified an oldie!
Are you familiar with “Pretty Little One” by Steve Martin (yes, that one) and the Steep Canyon Rangers with Edie Brickell? If not, and you like your murder ballads a lil more… let’s go with like “no body, no crime” and leave it vague for the enjoyment, I would definitely recommend it!
You should listen to I bet you think about me by Taylor swift featuring Chris Stapleton.
