I'm not sure that the 4 batteries in the PDC01 are used at the same time. During your heat test, you will notice that 2 batteries heat up and not the 4. The PDC01 alternates from 2 batteries to 2 others when used with a 36v or 40v tool. That is to say, when you release the trigger of a tool, the 2 batteries used at the time transfer to the 2 others. I wonder how the PDC01 manages batteries when using the converter.

You're right, in the stress test in my video you could see very clearly that only 2 batteries got very warm and were therefore under load.
But why the inverter doesn't use all 4 or how the device handles battery selection can probably only be answered by Makita itself : /
