There's no doubt David helped him improve his mental state. I just think he needed training with his striking way more, he is already a mentally robust human being.
David goggins looked like a clown in his corner. He destroyed Tony's body. He did Paddy's job for him
Tony was already one of the mentally toughest fighters, just put way to much strain on his body in training, tbf i didnt see him winning either way hes just not the same sadly
He's just hit that point where it doesn't matter how much he trains he will never be the same as he was before.

No disrespect, Tony is like one of the guys who stays in the army so long, when he gets out he doesn’t know how to properly function and be productive in society. Hope he hangs up the gloves and finds something peaceful to get into. Man has given us some of the bests fights I’ve personally ever witnessed. Just dont wanna see him continue to get hurt.

Man there is something I’ve noticed. When you get Knocked out you do come back ready to kill it’s wild asf. I’ve trained and competed in boxing at a high level and was never knocked out or dropped. But I have passed out from hitting blinkers on a wax pen I literally woke up thinking someone was trying to kill me and I woke up thinking about killing who ever is next to me. I’m glad my mind was able to recognize what was going on because that shit is a crazy feeling like you are literally ready to kill someone with no hesitation.

During USMC boot camp, at night time the whole platoon would be yelling “aye sir” and other ditties (short phrases to teach military knowledge)… and the ol’ legend says that Marine recruits are so well trained that a Drill Instructor could call out a command and the entire platoon would lock their bodies nearly in unison, hands at their side with their heels touching at a perfect 45 degree angle all while still in their rack (bed)
See here's the thing Tony already was known for his cardio and never giving up so idk why he went n did a goggins camp when he clearly rly needed a boxing camp to get all the rust off. Don't get me wrong I fuck with goggins and Tony but he already had a soldier mindset and that's what goggins camp is supposed to do break u n build u into a soldier so ya Tony coulda gone 20 rounds but he woulda got picked apart for 17 of em

In boot camp we had a few people sit straight up in the middle of the night screaming “YES PETTY OFFICER” 😂

He's bragging about this as if it doesn't mean he was overtrained af. That entire hell week would've been a lot better spent doing light sparring. He still would've lost but I'm certain he would've performed better. He looked slow as fuck in there. Hiring that meatball 'lift yourself up by your bootstraps' David goggins was the most idiotic and desperate thing I've seen a fighter do. Omg when he was in the corner shouting platitudes while Tony had this thousand yard stare, I was cringing

Yeah dude that’s called trauma lmao. Used to happen to me when I finally got a place and stopped staying in shelters. I was only homeless for like 6 months but you move to a new city at the beginning of winter with nothing to your name and you find out pretty quick where the shelters are. I remember the first time it happened was in high school when we were doing two-a-days in the summer before the the season. I would be so worried about oversleeping and missing am work out I’d jump out of bed randomly and literally just run outside.
