So pleased to hear and see that Jess is feeling so much better, and the garden looks wonderful!
Thank you. Jess is jumping around again and we are having so much fun in the garden
Lovely to see Jess trotting along more easily! You really have found your perfect place, we can’t wait to visit! Pop us in the reservation book 😊
You're always welcome
I love the" before and after" glimpses of your plot. A beautiful spot to begin with, and your sweet patio garden is a just-right addition. And good to see Jess prancing along. You two add to the beauty of the world with your warm personalities, your shared appreciation of the natural world, and your artistry. Your videos are a welcome balm in difficult times.
Thank you so much!
Eggs and chokolade sounds like the start of a new baking session I guess, chokolade cake is fantastic.
It's over already? I could watch you two all day! Rich, I hope your ankle heals up for you, and Fran, I'll be watching closely for your " hunting/gathering", as my dad called it, videos. I love natures' sweet, sweet bounty. Oh, and I'm glad Jess is doing better. I think I'll watch it again. Take care. xx
Thank you so much xx
Fabulous. Absolutely delightful. So idyllic. Thank you.
Just amazing the boats show. Rhubarb ahh yes grandma would make jam and make pies from it . Rich and Fran always great seeing your videos. Happy sailing ✌️
Thanks so much
Just delightful watching your video today, have watched it twice so far, lol, delicious for the eyes. How fortunate you have a sweet "allotment" by a hedgerow full of wild fruit. Must feel like 7th heaven and near the Pennine Way!
Everything does seem to have fallen into place for us
I think I've commented before, but I'm going to comment again, I absolutely love your choice of music ❤
Thank you very much!
PS, thank you for the lovely, gentle vlog, to start my working day, hope it will keep me relaxed all day
Our pleasure!
Hi - Your glass gift - Why not frame it with Oak into a kind of shallow box (1" deep), put an "LED light cable" (very thin strip light) right around inside in a routed groove, then plug it into 12v and you will have a lovely wall light. Another thing....Don't be envious of electric narrow boats, because part of the joy of the narrow boat is the chugging diesel, and may I say the older the engine, the better it sounds! Also, near tight corners the other boat can hear you coming. Or if you buy an electric boat, get yourself a fog horn!! I like your boat, it is a work of art too!! Lovely! All the best John
Nice idea about the glass John. Also I tend to agree about the engine noise. I love the chug of an old engine and just like electric cars, it is not always good if you cant hear them.
Jess had a spring in her step! 😍🥰
Your videos have the canals, life with its ups and downs and history of where you are. Seeing the countryside as you walk on errands or sightseeing brings out more of England. One thing that is here on your walk , and it has been in others , is the path goes across private lands and public with full right of way. Here in the US, we would have to go around . All the best, Hal
Hi Hal. Glad you are enjoying the videos. We are very lucky to have a network of public footpaths all across the country giving us access to walk through farmland.
I agree please more recipes from Fran. I know she only does one once in a while but inso enjoy seeing her recipes too! Even when she shows her making lunch or dinner or something. I love that so much! And I know many others do too. So nice to get meal ideas from other people 🥰🏴 love from Scotland. Such a lovely couple. ❤
Thank you so much. I do have a few favourite recipes lined up so watch this space.
Good to see you again
I am just smiling thank you.
Love when a Plan comes together :)
I know it is a bit old news for y'all but I am glad that Jess is responding to the meds well. I'm always appreciative of what ever number and kinds of videos you do but I wouldn't mind some more foraging and cooking with Fran segments :)
Thank you. We hope to do more soon
I enjoy your videos , luv the walk you went on lovely scenery …. Nothing like fresh eggs they are the best ! , yes Fran you should show us more cooking lol …… I hope you ankle heals Rich as well …💞📖💞
What a beautiful place and locale you have to get a bit of garden underway ansd walk ... even with the muck!
Beautiful views!
Absolutely beautiful scenery. Hope your ankle feels better soon xx
Lovely vlog guys, hope the rhubarb does well for you. Loved the glass art, really nice and well deserved gift. I hope your knee held out ok Rich 👍
Thanks so much 😊
Thanks for the walk with you. Just love your vlog thanks again 😊
I so enjoyed this vlog. You packed a lot of stuff in it. I wasn't sure about how your new lifestyle would translate to a vlog, but...CONGRATULATIONS!..it's absolutely riveting. Thanks as always. I love your garden. I love the foraging. I love your lifestyle.
One reason i bought this house...it had a nice sized bed of rhubarb. Lol..loved the field/ nature shots . Reminded me of days gone by whenvi didnt look for every garden weed etc. By the way as far as the ankle Rich , come up with your own exercises and stretches fir your ankle. It will be worth it. When i hurt my knee i went to therapy and didnt get any exercises from any of the people there that helped. So i made up my own that looked like i was going to go downhill skying and they worked. I have been trying to remind myself to do them thru the years and bpno more problems and its been almost 45 years.
Sounds like it good advice
Nice one that’s the way to do it what a cracking mooring in a Beautiful part of the country I bet the dogs luv it and all that free fruit just growing wi no Chemicals brilliant have a top week 🙂🐶🐶✌️
Thanks 👍
A delight watching the world where you are move into Spring... as we make winter welcome in the South of New Zealand! I too love hawthorn and the miracle of an old hawthorn gone wild decked with fragrant blossom is like seeing a galleon in full sail!
That is a lovely description
A wonderful video. Thank you.
Very enjoyable video. Beautiful countryside. Nice reward at the end! 😀 🥰
Thank you! 😃
Hi Fran & Rich It’s Phil here from Glass Roots Cornwall. Wow thank you for the mention. Well chuffed. It was a pleasure to meet you both at Crick.
As for the glass, it can also live outside as well as being inside. (Gives you more options)
Loving your garden!
Philip & Emma
Such an enjoyable relaxed video, thanks you two, I could have watched for hours xx
I think you need a bit of relaxation now xx
Excellent as usual. Glad to have you back coming to you from Vermont
We are so sad. Sad because your video's are far too short. We could sit and watch your walks up and down the Pennines, to the farm. Seeing what is behind each little door 🤔 What a fun adventure - will there be eggs, will there be chocolate?
It's so good to see Jess romping around and having a good time sniffing here and there. I think I need the same medication so I could romp around, too. 😂
Can you imagine, wild raspberry bushes and strawberries, too. What marvelous jam is in store for Christmas giving and stocking up the cupboard.
I had to laugh when Rich said, 'of an age'. You two can't be nearly as old as we are. We're in our middle to late 70s and dream of being able to walk the miles you both have traveled. 🙌🏼
Fingers crossed next time you'll share what is happening in and around your garden.
Be well, take care and keep filming ~ love & hugs, Lacy, Mike & Hamish🐾
I heartedly agree with the Crick comments, more videos, more foraging, more cooking. Also more weaving and Rich's painting. Would never have made those comments on my own, but will jump on that bandwagon! You two are such great entertainment!
Thank you x
More videos of you two foraging, cooking, gardening and a bit of travel. I follow a few Narrowboats and when they stop videos I have to remove them from my great canal maps. You were still hanging on I was waiting to see if you left too. So happy to see you back on. They only thing I bet Fran would like added is a bath tub.
Thank you so much for a lovely video and sharing your walk. Always cheers my up and is inspiring.
Lovely to know that all the people watcing your videos love it as much. & gifts at Crick. The glass is lovely and the coal scuttle. I will look her up.
We were up looking at boats in Whilton 2 weeks before. So do hope we can make Crick next year. ❤
No words needed just ❤️❤️❤️
❤
Oh my goodness, beautiful. Because of illness/caretaking, my husband & I can't really travel. We live in a city (albeit with a garden), but we're both from small towns originally. So many of your videos are like walks we would have taken... noseabouts we would have enjoyed. Just lovely, really.
Sorry to hear that, I hope our videos bring back some happy memories for you
New spuds mint fresh carrots and lamb ,the joy
That used to be one of my favourites but as we no longer eat meat we will just have to look at the lambs. x
Hello! I am the same!! I get it people overload and yes I understand when you have a quieter life. I am like that after people days, I have to have a quiet me only day and yes "neutral" I agree with others more videos would be lovely IF you would like! So lovely to see you again. Go Haven Locks! I love Laura Masie the best but nice additions on the new ones
I enjoyed this video so much, thanks!
I the bothe of you luvely to see you enjoying salf all the best for now 😊
Thank you 😊
I dont comment much, but have been subscribed since way back when and always enjoy watching the videos as Im a nature lover and gongoozler.
Thank you so much
Always lovely to see your videos and to hear what you are up to! Wish we could give you some of the eggs our free range chickens produce! And, great to see Our Jess bouncing around.
I thought Jess was looking much better and that's such good news!
Thanks!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you and Merry Christmas xx
You missed a trick should have had a bag and cleaned that manure up of the stile for the Rhubarb 👍👍👍I know exactly what you mean about looking at boats at Crick when you have one of your own The only one we went on was the Morning star 2 just because I watch the vlogs
Love your videos. Your spot is beautiful. Having seen the other narrowboat although beautiful we love yours so cozy and welcoming. I agréé with one of the subscribers to gave more videos. Can't Get enough of you guys I guess. We know it is à lot of work and we apreciate it.
Happy " floating" .😘
Thanks so much! 😊
Better late than never, massive computer problems the motherboard fried so after 13 years I splashed out on a New Imac 27 being set up on Monday.
Glad you enjoyed "Crick"I feel envious of all the folks being able to chat with you guys face to face. .Your Garden looks great very promising for lots of fresh veggies,. btw I love rhubarb in any dish ,our fave is rhubarb and apples stewed eaten warm with ice cream.
I love your walks and scavenging and you sure know where to point the camera to capture the burgeoning flowers as they give a lovely display..
See you next vlog ,take care happy cruising and gardening weaving painting ,scavending .
Cheers from me and Canada.
❤❤
Wow, that will keep you busy for a while Ralph. We had better get a top quality video ready for you to test it on.
What a lovely episode 👍
Love from Denmark
Thank you x
Thanks for a great video. Have your next box of eggs on me.
Thank you so much Paul. We will take another walk very soon xx
My fav is the eggs! Yum
It’s been ages since we have done that walk. Must do it again soon x
That was a lovely video makes me homesick kevin from Thailand
You could make a summer pudding with the fruits you gather.
Ooh lovely 😋
What a lovely video. Thank you. Interesting about your ankle, Rich. Exactly 12 months ago, I broke my right ankle and badly sprained my left ankle, both at the same time. 12 months on, the break is fully healed, yet the left ankles still giving me problems. Hope you're both well. Love the northern reaches 😊
Hi Guys, loving your vlogs, I know that this is a comment on an early vlog, this is my back yard, who needs a garden, fourteen degrees is baltic for the pennines, all our trees have been blown to Norway, glad to hear that you have chosen to get a mooring oop North 😅 I'm sure you will love it ❤❤
Fabulous 😊
Really enjoyed your video thank you both xx
Our pleasure!
Love your mooring place, you've made it so beautiful! I know what you mean about fresh eggs, I raise chickens mainly because I love the eggs, but also they eat bugs and weeds around our house too.
We used to have chickens. Miss them so much!
Yes you have landed in paradise. Thanks and take care =-)
You got me started with overnight oats. A friend asked why I call them ‘Fran’s Oats’.
So funny x
No time for words today 🩵💜💙❤️💚💛🥰
❤
Always enjoy your Vlogs. You are such a genuine couple. Enjoyed the Elton Moses Boat. I hadn’t seen it on any other videos. I like Laura Maisie ! Also love your new setting, it has created such a homey space. Thanks for bringing your life all the way to Pennsylvania!
Hi Fran and Rich, gorgeous spot you have there and your making your waterside garden lovely. All the best.
Strange you would say you just watched TV just to veg out... I actually usually watch you guys videos to escape for a while... mainly because I'm a Brit, but am living in the middle of Long Beach CA. at the mo. Many thanks.
Fabulous video as always. Love your sweet peas, I always plant those too. What a peaceful countryside walk to get your eggs Fran. Look forward to seeing your garden grow. ❤
fran and rich after watching most of your vids must say i am feeling guilty with 1st time comment, these are not just youtube vids it is in my mind the best viewing on the television a breath of fresh air to see you both enjoying life how i envy the life style. had a taster day on narrowboat tuition and operating locks but never got to own one, luv to sell up and buy one try talking the other half into it no joy yet looking forward to more relaxing vids take care best regards keith &helen forgot just waiting for pint pot and mug luv you both.
Wow, thank you so much for that lovely comment. We know what you mean about television viewing as we mainly watch youtube now. Thank you also for buying pint pot and mug. Enjoy your drinks x
Your guys are awesome, glad you are back to the simple life.
I could almost smell that muck through the phone 😂. How delightful was the farmers tuck box and egg pantry. Great idea. I was waiting to see what your stash was😅. Enjoy your week xx
Lovely vlog! You guys are so special! Thank you for sharing. 💘 from Arizona.
Your new mooring is really paradise. The electric boat at crick was nice but really do prefer laura maise, nicer set up.
You both look so happy 👍❤️
Thank you, us too
Thanks for this great update, your little plot mooring looks lovely and your visit to Crick looked really good. Yeh , Rich, take some omega 3 fish oil supplements or eat lots of oily fish to help your joint/tendon problems and I have broken my left ankle which isn't too bad but my right one struggles after "spraining" it more than once. I'm glad that little Jess is doing well and I hope that you are all doing well and having a great time in this lovely sunny weather. Take care and all the best. Stevie
I’ve honestly missed you two. Been wondering how you’re getting on! Wow veggies and flowers growing a treat. X❤ Sending love Lisa xx
I just had rhubarb from my garden, made cake and stewed some with ice cream (made for my friends 85th year today) ...just love it. I also give some away each year along with plants. Also, my neighbour has chickens that free range on our property, so we get free eggs.
I so enjoy your vlog and music...thank you🇨🇦
Sounds like a perfect life
Thanks for taking us on your lovely walk. The garden already looking terrific 🌟🌟 joan
It’s always nice to get home to your own comforts. Your coal scuttle with the little shovel is adorable. Farm fresh eggs are the best find these days and they usually have a richness often missing in eggs now. Poached egg on a toasted crumpet for breakfast. 😋
Oooh perfect and these eggs taste amazing
Take care and God bless.
What a lovely boat that was. I loved the not having curtains just the pull out boards/ blinds at windows the wood finish was just lovely.
It was a fabulous view it looked amazing. Hope your foot is ok Rich. Love watching your vlogs xx
Very relaxing and unbeatable countryside. Just let all those stresses flow away.
No RICH! you do not want a break as they love putting metal plants in and in the heat and change of weather people having an awful time with pain and discomfort. I hear you thou I did my ankle and I have my wrist and its a nightmare long time, just lots of arnica cream 4 times a day & strap up for weeks and lots of stretching. One of the best things I did Rich at the time I was swapping my Full Body Reiki for a full body massage with a friend who had reflexology etc, maybe try and get a serious of massages and they can focus on it and loosen scar tissue that's the big problem also they can give you stretches and exercise. I have no problems now. I am 61 so similar age. *Also you get compensation on your other side from protecting the injured side highly recommend some full body massages, 3 is good to help the whole body back on track. Wishing you swift healing.
Thank you for the advice. I have been giving Rich foot massages which really do help, but maybe he needs more.
Hi another great vlog Rich many years ago I was running and fell over and I pulled a tendent in my shoulder the pain was unbelievable and the doctor said it would have been better if I had broken it as it would heal muck faster keep safe and well cheers Barry Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
Fingers crossed I can get my fellow widebeam up Wigan flight Monday, and then we'll be neighbours (ish) for a night or two August ?
Your garden plot sure has grown a bountiful crop of veggies and flowers. Love how you decorated it. The stained glass ornament will look spiffy inside your narrowboat, as will the flowered chimney (stove?) cleaner and shovel. I enjoy watching you both with your friendly personalities and funny sense of humor. A great escape for your video fans to escape this crazy world! Jenny
Thanks so much! 😊 We all need to escape somewhere
@@FloatingOurBoat For sure!
As always a bright spot in the week. Another wonderful look into the perfect way to live.
For you ankle think about a elastic foot/ankle sock, just to give it a bit of support. Take it with you on your walks and put it on if ankle starts to play up. Don't wear it all the time.
Thank you, Rich does do this.
Great to follow your days, as always. I'm sure you were very happy to be back on Laura Maisie after Crick. Your place in the Pennines is really beautiful!
love your blogs , so relaxing to watch , feel like I am on board . Thank you
Thoroughly enjoy your 🥰💕channel Fran & Rich, & the fur babies 🥰💕and follow some of your friends too 🤭thank you for sharing xx
Our pleasure!
Great Vlog guys. Glad you had a good time at Crick, albeit rather exhausting. Bet your really enjoying being back on Laura Maisie and your gorgeous little plot. My how all your produce is coming along ... doing so well. You've worked so had and now you can reap the benefits and eat your beautiful fresh produce. So glad to hear that little Jess is improving on her medication. These animals can be such a worry at times, but she looks great and is really enjoying her walk. Such a gorgeous happy little girl. Looking forward to seeing more of your plot and gardening adventures as well. Thank you so much for sharing. Your videos are so very enjoyable and inspirational.
Thank you. It was really good to get back and see how much everything had grown.
I did my ankle over ten years ago and it still gives me a bit of grief now and again, if I stand on a stone wrong it will swell and bruise up
Ankles are so difficult to heal as they get a complete rest
Thank you fran and Rich. I really enjoyed today's video. looking forward to future videos. I love watching the country walks you do and learning a lot about the foraging and trails you have there in the UK. 😄
The garden looks lush. Glad you achieved your dream.
It’s lovely to see Jess bouncing around. Have to say I prefer Laura Maisie to the new boat you looked round. Love your videos, your my favourite narrowboat channel.
❤
Wonderful to see a new vid. from you, they are so enjoyable. I have broken various bones and sprained my ankle, (not all at the same time) and a break isn't half as painful as a sprain. Hope your ankle is good to go again, walking is the best medicine. Take care, both of you, and the dogs.
Ha ha, on alarm, people laugh at me, including my partner, for my alarm for Gardeners Question Time and Gardeners World!
Love this. Now we have our little garden we should start listening to gardeners world again. Thank you
It is always a breath of fresh air to see the two of you. I am delighted to see Jess doing so well. I actually did break my ankle many years ago and it was no picnic (plate and 8 screws). While that was a lovely gesture to gift you the plant, I must confess that years ago when I grew up on my stepfather's farm, rhubarb grew all over the place. Perhaps it was my stepsister's method of preparing it, but to this day I'd rather gnaw off my arm than ever eat it again. Leigh
They must have done something wrong, rhubarb crumble is amazing.
@@FloatingOurBoat I don't think they'd ever heard of it in upstate New York. Enjoy yours. 🤭
Cannot get over your location. Don't make more videos. Enjoy your life and keep the ones you do make special. Your videos are like little treats. They are so good. Glad Jess is feeling better.
Thank you so much ❤
I enjoyed this on my phone & then again on the TV. It's such a perfect location for you both! And your transformation of the whole landing is just beautiful. And Bonus!! All the fruit and vegetation on the tow path. I love the walk to get chocolate.... I mean EGGs, lol. Surly with the walk, it's a win-win. 😉
Rich, I do hope your foot settles down. Ouch.
You both look happy and content. Enjoy your summer❤🥀🪴🌾🌿🌳🌻🍷🍷
Oh you saw right through our egg walk Robin. The eggs are always an added bonus though x
