I really like watching, how people design their cities in a completely different part of the word than I live, makes me want to try out new stuff. Hope you can turn this into a series of tutorials.
You know what would be awesome? If the tools and assets needed to design a beautiful and functional city were actually present in the game about designing beautiful and functional citites.
The difficulty of simulating Chinese cities is simply the density. CS1 really struggles, because of its lane maths AI unsuitable for the often very wide streets, and the mixed use buildings EVERYWHERE, and the amount of multi level roads and underground facilities… and I have huge respect for anyone who’s making a Chinese city there - I can’t imagine how much modding is needed.
CS2 looks easier for this particular task.
And they are all empty in real life.

i don't know why you're expecting content packs when the game doesn't even work properly by itself yet.
People are expecting content packs because there was a release calendar promising them by now. (Much like people were promised a working game by now…)

How about designing a blueprint for fixing the bugs? I'm not buying any DLC just to get bug fixes and I'm not playing your game until I can actually play the game.
We're activly working on fixing bugs right now! Any updates to performance or that ahve to do with bugs that come at the same times as DLC are always part of the Free Update. If you're still experiancing bugs, please post a thread on Paradox Forums at this link: forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/cities-skylines-2-bug-reports.1162/ . It's the best way to help us help you improve the game.
If you’ve played Cities 1 you would know that the free updates had bug fixes along with the released paid dlc.. I feel like you folks are trolling and bullying just because at this point.
@@TJusnow If they fix game breaking bugs, we shouldn't have to wait, it was one thing in CS1 when QoL or small bugfixes were held back for big updates, but this game has many game breaking bugs that will ruin a city. We paid money for the game and after a while the game cannibalizes itself due to various glitches, land value breaks and no one can afford rent, the budget breaks and you make or lose billions an hour, subsidies make the game impossible to lose, traffic on cargo train stations breaks the computer's driving behavior, performance after 150k or so completely breaks down to a minute of simulation every few seconds, along with horrific frame rates. They deserve the criticism.

i agree with you regarding the bug fixes, specially the goddamn land value, its fucking atrocious when the person who moves in is a Senior or student then you just get "can't afford rent" because the land value became so high that the 2 bedroom house is suddenly priced similar to a hundred thousand acre manor in terms of rent
@@CitiesSkylines You know the bugs, the bugs have been there since launch. We're not talking about graphical glitches, we're talking about game breaking bugs preventing cities from being built. The launch was an unmitigated disaster and this decision not only exacerbates that, but will lead to a _lot_ of your customers walking away. Show some good faith and release the fixes for bugs as soon as they're ready to be released, rather than a shameless attempt to monetise bug fixing. To reiterate my point, I ain't buying your DLC until the game is in a playable state.

No its not ignorance, there are many other places with diagonal pedestrian crossings thru intersections around the world, Chicago has some intersections that have diagonal crossings in intersections that have dedicated walking time in the CBD.

as someone said before, there are many places around the world that had that -- we also have one in Bukit Bintang of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia
I like that they are promoting a different style of city building. Too bad there are no Chinese styled buildings. I suppose that's a future DLC...
It’s not that they want to promote another type of city-building;
1. Roads in new urban areas were designed and built only a few decades ago instead of a hundred years ago, and are therefore more efficient.
2. The population density is too high, so some compromises and interesting designs have to be made.
Hope we can get an update to this vid oncr the regional packs hit. Really informative and I hope to build a Chinese themed city soon.

So he plopped this entire city using what tool? He's obviously not playing it. There's no population, cars, transit or anything or anyone on the city sidewalks. So what tool is he using to achieve this? I played 2000 hour and dont have this sort of abilities. Just endless garbage not collected and my favorite buildings abandoned or collapsed and by the time my city looks like this guys city its slow and not really playable anymore.

Tutorial for a game that just kys by announcing it was not going to fix the game breaking bugs until it releases patches along with DLC? Pointless. I literally uninstalled the game after I heard that news because there's no point in attempting to play right now.
