I haven't tried the head slick. I'm definitely going to try it now. Thanks!
I like it a lot, I always have. It's a top performer in its class as far as I'm concerned.
I've been a head shaver for years. My favorite razor was the Gillette Mach 3. I just bought the Leaf/Twig combo. Super impressed so far! The shave is just as great as the Mach 3 for me and far more cost effective. Yes you can use any variation of 1 to 3 blades based on your personal preference. Definitely going to be trying the Head Slick. Sounds exactly what I'm looking for in a shave gel/cream.
Right on brother. I’ve been enjoying the leaf a lot over the last couple of years.
Definitely gonna try the headslick! Love the head shaves as a fellow head shaver it's relaxing.
It's good stuff, I really like it. Thanks so much for watching, I really appreciate it.
As a daily headshaver, I have to try the Head Slick. I had used the Van Der Hagen Shave butter a long time ago, but I didn't care much for it. Thanks again for the video, CDB!!
It's a little over $2 an ounce at the link above. Not a bad price right now.
I've been using headslick for years and am just getting into DE shaving. Didn't even think about how it would lather. BTW, the HeadLube post shave lotion is nice also.
First time seeing one of your videos. You seem like a good dude. Subscribed and using your link for the head slick. I would have used your link for the Leaf but I just ordered one before seeing this.
Thanks so much Glenn. I hope you enjoy the leaf sir. Have a great day!
I started shaving my head years ago when I had more skin than hair. Never went back, I use a leaf razor and shave in the shower, no mess to clean up. I tried other razors and Leaf Razor is the best for me. A little spendy to start, but save in the long run.
Awesome Chuck! I'm so glad you are enjoying it sir!
Yes headslick is fantastic shave cream! I love headslick! Brother!
I love it as well Matteo, it's good stuff:)
I enjoy Headslick as a quick solution when I am in a hurry or a travel solution ( not carry on) rather than soap and brush.
Plus it is great for when I haven't shaved my head in a while and need as much help as I can get.
Agreed on all counts:)
Headslick is hands down the best shave cream ever, IMHO:)
It's really good stuff for sure.
Great video I love head shaving videos I remember back when I shave head with bic the one with a white head and yellow handlers I would slice and dice the top my head so bad I would refuse to take my off
I remember those razors well, they were very popular disposable razors:)
It's so weird seeing someone shave their head completely different than me, I just kinda figured it out myself going from back, to sides, to top, than I repeat cross grain.
I just use a tube of Proraso shaving cream, and use my hands to foam it up with the hair that grows in 2-3 days.
There's no wrong way to do it:) So long as it's working, well stick with it:)
Hey Chris. I found a tube of Cremo in my closet, which I bought years ago and didnt like. I tried using it as a pre shave with quality soap and it works great. Maybe we could see a head shave with you using it as a pre shave ???
I don't know if I have any laying around but if I do I'll give it a go:)
hi john here got the leaf razor yesterday and had a face and head shave wow best i have used hands down
Awesome John! I'm so glad you enjoyed it sir!
@@IAMCDB gotta say its the best head shaver out there by far
@@rutkowsky1000 I'm so glad you like it.
Might have to try that.
It's definitely worth trying. It's also great for boosting if you have a stubborn soap or something like that.
I just started shaving my head. Newly bald I'm 29. Just ordered the leaf hope it's better than what I'm using now.
How did you get on with the Leaf?
I was wondering the other day if Busta was still doing content. I noticed he had removed all his videos. Do u know how he is these days, you still in contact with him? I used to find him quite entertaining, back in the day.
Ps, i have found your latest vids great!
I haven’t talked to him personally for a while but I think he’s ok. I think he’s focusing on his career. I love him, he’s a great guy and was very entertaining.
How does the razor feel? Does it glide well even through it doesn't have the lubrication strip most cartridges have? I'm seriously considering buying.
It works well for me. I never thought he lubricating strips did much to be honest.
Hi Chris, I follow your channel from Italy. I would like to buy this razor to shave my head, as I believe that DE is less fluid to use. Would you recommend it to me?
I enjoy using it. I cannot say whether it will work perfectly for you but it works great for me. I do think it's easier to use than a DE razor.
Hey bud! That shaving pre shave block you used. What’s as that? Never saw anything like that. Link or name would be appreciated.
Not sure if you’ll see this, but looking at getting a Leaf razor as I just started shaving my head due to balding. What position do you set your blades in? I see there are 3 slots, do you put a blade in all 3 or the top 2 or bottom 2.
I used the bottom two. The most efficient is the bottom spot and it’s less efficient as they go up.
I paid for youtube premium to avoid commercials.
What blades do you use? Seems like a lot of the videos using the leaf make it seem like the razor is not that aggressive so you can use aggressive blades without cutting yourself.......
I've tried quite a few blades in it but typically I use Astras for head shaves. I definitely thin it's one of those razors that you should experiment with to find the blade that works best.
I've never even thought to try lathering up headslick. Its what i've used the majority of the time for headshaving. Any specific method for lathering it?
I just keep adding water slowing and it works. it will not burst into lather and takes time but you can whip up a heavy cream with it.
What is that bar that you wiped on your head before shaving?
Which positions did you put the 2 blades in?
I see some people say the bottom and middle blade are more aggressive, but to have the middle and top blade is less aggressive as they’re further away from the pivot point.
When using two blade I use the bottom two positions.
@@IAMCDB Cheers, Have ordered my leaf and look forward to trying it out! Will probably stick with the two blades, rather than 3 as you look like you got a decent shave with 2!
@@JakeM218 I hope you enjoy it sir!
@@IAMCDB Thanks, looking forward to it!
What was that preshave you used? Still using the leaf?
What kind of preshave is that?
Please review new Broman razor
I have that one on my radar. I hope I'll get to try it at some point.
Witch one is better the leaf or the defender I would really like your opinion
I prefer the leaf but it does have a learning curve.
@@IAMCDB I'm using the defender now like to try leaf but a little scared of being cut
@@danielmalone6988 I can absolutely understand that. There is a bit of a learning curve. You could start using only one blade and work from there perhaps.
Do you get BBS shaves with the leaf razor on your head
Yes I do sir.
What was that bar you used for pre shave?
That's a RazoRock Lime Pre-Shave Cube
Is this Head Slick similiar to Tomb 45 shave gel?
No headslick is a shave cream for the head.no parfum no alcohol, by headblade. very slippery.
I've never used Tomb 45 but Matteo below has it right on the answer most likely.
Curious..Where did you place the 2 blades on the razor?
There are three blades total. So you have one full blade you break into halves and one blade broken into halves with a half left over.
@@IAMCDB i know that...i am asking where did you place the blades..you said you are using 2 blades for a 3 blade razor.did you use the top 2..or bottom 2..or 1 on bottom 1 on top ? ( that was my question)
@@mr.disney4740 Oh, I got you. I left the blade out of the top.
How often do you chance the blades?
Every 2 or 3 shaves.
